Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and easy setup of the 65" Class X900F Series LED 4K UHD Smart Android TV. They appreciate its great value for the price and find it particularly suitable for gaming. While some users have concerns about the remote control's functionality and the TV's speakers, these drawbacks do not overshadow the overall positive customer experience.

The picture quality and colors are amazing. Very black blacks. The apps and channel options are very easy to navigate. I have read other reviews complaining about the remote and sound quality but I found no issues with either of these. The remote is easy to use. The voice command works very well. The speaker quality is much improved from my Sony 55"X850B in both volume and sound. Fairly decent base for TV speakers. My only complaint is the cost is very high.

I chose this VA based TV after seeing reviews and results for burn in tests on rtings.com. I was very happy with my 10 year old Samsung LED projection set, but the DLP chip seemed like a ticking time bomb. (I already had it replaced once.) The major improvements I was expecting were elimination of gradient banding artifacts in scenes with large patches of sky or underwater, and deeper blacks. And I got that. But I also have to say I was surprised at how impressed I have been with the color. I'm still messing with the settings a little, and sometimes the color can almost be too much, but overall its a big improvement in viewing enjoyment that I wasn't entirely expecting. The only con I have is the connectivity options. The only analog AV input is an old style 3.5mm camcorder plug. Not something you can buy off the shelf most places. I would have expected them to provide an adapter or at least some explanation of what type of cable was needed. No s-video. No rca jacks. Also there is no audio coax cable out. And I wasn't able to get it to work with an older HDMI receiver. So just be aware, if you're trying to interface to some older AV equipment you may have to upgrade or get some adapter/converter tech. I probably would have taken off .5 for this if I could but it wasn't worth a whole point deduction.

The Sony television is very intuitive and the picture quality is excellent. It fits in our room perfectly. The Sanus tv wall mount was easy to install and works perfect for hanging the tv. We appreciate its tilting ability and that there is a distance from the wall to access cords. The Sanus speaker stands are as advertised and do a good job of holding the Sonos Play 1 speakers for surround sound with the new tv.

This TV is an absolute beauty. The colors are rich and everything has a great depth of clarity too it. The speakers are a little weak but with a TV like this you have to get at least a soundbar to make it perfect. Set up was super easy and will mount it soon, with a tv this size I thought it would be pretty heavy but its actually not too bad. I havent messed around with changing the settings individually but so far its a huge improvement.

I bought this TV due to the great reviews it got about its motion handling and up scaling of non 4K content. Its black frame insertion technology makes sports look smooth without blur. Baseball games and the fights look great on the set. It also does a great job of up-scaling 1080 movies as well. I think Sony is the leader of the pack when it comes to up scaling regular cable feeds. The only negative is that there is some slight blooming around bright objects in scenes with a dark background. It doesn't have as many dimming zones as the top of the line Z9D/F but it costs a fraction of the price of those sets. Overall I am very happy with this set.

I upgrade from a Vizio that I bought 7 years ago. I did not need to buy one TV because my Vizio quality stand good even with new sets; but, this Sony X900F was an upgrade on quality. I can see the difference even without the tv calibration. I almost bought a Samsung Q80 series, but this Sony was $100 cheaper, and the quality is great. If you do not want to spent too much for an OLED tv, this is the set to get. (other good sets Samsung Q80,Q90, Vizio P series, Hisense H9 or TCL 8 series) Pros: Quality is great. You do not notice significant quality if you watching over-the-air channels and DVDs. On Blu-ray you will notice a great quality. I already bought Ultra Blu-Ray player and the quality is excellent. If the movie is record originally on HDR at 60fps with 120HZ, the quality is perfect; no difference between my brother's LG OLED set. Cons: Angles is the worst in this TV. If you sit more than 45 degrees from center, you notice a loose on quality. Arc/HDMI need works because is not as responsive as another sets. Sony need to make an update about it. Updates: do not install the latest update about security because screw up you log in library (this work if you want to watch 4K videos recorded from you cell phone on you tv using a USB thumb drive). Overall and for the price that I paid, this tv is great P.D. do not paid more than a grant for this set. Better bought a Samsung Q80 if you paid more than $1000 for this set that cost relative the same but with better angle quality

Overall pretty happy with the purchase. TV can achieve deep black with local dimming, not as deep as OLED but is good enough for bright room environments. Bright content is really where it shines. Sony does a great job with upscaling, keeping color realistic, color gradation and motion. Not giving a perfect 5 because Android OS is slow and Dolby vision is hit and miss based on content as it bring down the overall brightness.

From what I've seen of this TV, Sony has taken full advantage of the X1 processor, makes 4k 120 hz, yes 120 hz, footage processing and presentation seem like child's play. Sony's website states that this TV is 60 hz, but it is in fact 120 hz. I believe the backlight can refresh at 720 hz... I believe. The 720 hz backlight refresh being that high does detract The brightness significantly, however. The HDR 10, near ONE THOUSAND nits brightness, is able to recreate almost the exact content that the creators had intended, in my opinion. The dark content is close to black, but still able to present detail and highlights explicitly. The integration between this TV and my Sony (STR-DN 1030) is flawless and near automatic. .......... The speakers are bad.... Very, very bad.... They are tinny, quiet, have no soundstage, and Max out at what I would estimate about 40 to 50 (ish) decibels. Now that that's out of the way, the ARC connection connects the TV to the sound system without any issue, and I would think someone buying this TV would have dedicated speakers. The HDMI ports,2 of which anyway, are able to handle 4k content at 120 hz, hdmi 2.1 I think? So that's a welcome plus, especially at this price point. The other hdmi ports are an older version. 2 usb ports, which are able to take advantage of keyboard and mouse support with the assistance of an Android operation system.

Looks great. Colors a vibrant and crisp. Holy moly there is almost no edge, it’s all screen. Awesome. This is my early Christmas gift to myself. Wife was a bit upset but we did need to replace the 42” that was in our bedroom. So logically I needed to put the living room 52” in our bedroom and now we needed a new tv for living room. Makes sense to me.

I have now had this TV for over a month and cannot be happier. The picture quality is amazing, and shows very vivid and lively color. The sound is just ok, but I use a home theater system to route my sound, so it is not an issue. The picture quality, ease of use are why I like this product. I would recommend to anyone out there looking for a top notch 65" tv, but not having to pay the ridiculous cost of some competitors (Samsungs QLED).

We've finally stepped out of the dark ages with a smart tv purchase. My husband is a researcher and spent 2 years looking into the best bang for the buck. Finally got him to pull the trigger and we're so happy we did. The picture is amazing. Ease of use is great. We're streaming Netflix and other shows and living the good life! Used the old sound system we had and everything is wonderful!

What can I say. This TV is just amazing. I had purchased Vizios top end OLED but one HDMI did not work. I returned and was going to get Sony OLED but it was just to expensive and the difference between the 2 was not much. I have a Samsung QLED and this destroys that on qualit. The Only con I have is the Whack remote sony gives you. What is it 2012? Gotta do better

I was a little concerned with price - quality ratio. Spending a decent amount more than the "on sale model," I wanted to make sure I had gotten my money's worth. Well I did. This TV was easy to setup, and quality is unbelievable. I love it. Beats any TV I planned on purchasing originally, the color, upscale rate if it's a 1080 video, is beautiful. Hands down recommend this TV to anyone with an eye for technology.

We’re really enjoying this TV! It was easy to set up, easy to customize (never use out-of-the-box settings - there are several places online with profile recommendations) and the picture is awesome. It upconverts HD signals very well, and 4K HDR content looks amazing! With its ultra slim bezel, it is almost the same physical size as our old 55” screen. We’re extremely pleased that we bought this model.

You cant ask for a better picture! The 4k with dolby will just keep you hypnotized to your tv. I cant stop watching Marvel movies on Disney + 4k and natonal geographic. Its just awe inspiring and you really pick up so much more than you normally do in 1080. Only downsize is going to anything below 1080 now is really hard to watch. Kinda spoils you but wow it s soo worth the Money!

After a lot of research, we purchased the X900F. It has brilliant colors and provides a great picture. The apps are easy to navigate and are adequate for our usage. We use it in a smaller room so the side viewing that some people talk about isn't an issue. We have had Sony's in the past and have never been disappointed. Would highly recommend this and the 950 which

After narrowing down between the Samsung Q8 and this. I made my choice, and I cant be happier. Sure the Q8 has more vivid colors, but the motion handling on the Sony is outstanding. The brightness on the tv is ridiculous, and the picture is beatiful. Great TV for the money, it was $600 cheaper than the Q8 with similar reviews.

Just got this set yesterday, was looking at the qled and oled tvs, this one has just as good picture quality as those sets for hundreds of dollars less. Its brighter than the oleds and color as good as qled. Plus it supports dolby vision hdr, that the samsung qleds dont.
