Excellent picture, holds contrast and color from side viewing angles. Very simple "Settings" menu, so getting a perfect picture is as easy as selecting one of Sony's built-in profiles. Best Buy Geek Squad handled the install and initial settings. They were EXCELLENT.

For a television of this caliber and this price point I would expect near perfection. Certainly not a bad tv but unless you're watching 4k, which is stunning on this tv, or good quality HD programming, the picture is rather underwhelming. I was hoping for better sound like the Samsung q80t has but it couldn't reach that satisfying deep surround sound. The sound is a little above average in my opinion but good enough to live with nonetheless. Once again, at this price point I would hope it wouldn't be just good enough, it should blow me away. Motion is pretty good although while streaming The Avengers in 4k and hdr, it did have trouble keeping up in a couple fast action scenes. Reflection and glare is decent. Also, I appreciate that there are so many settings to get everything " working right " but I find that there are way too many picture and sound settings. Many of them hardly make a difference anyway. It should look and sound great out of the box, which it did for the most part. One thing that was better than expected was the viewing angle. It looks excellent watching from the side. I'll likely keep it because I believe all tvs in this class would have similar qualities and I really don't want to spend double the money to get something else thats not necessarily double the performance. On a different note, the people at Best Buy were great in this purchase. They went above and beyond to make things work right.

This is an outstanding LED TV, picture quality is close to OLED. I was still on the fence on buying an OLED set because of how I use my tv. I am worried of eventual screen burn in because I sometimes will use it as a monitor and have stagnant images on screen. I know OLED TVs are beautiful, but honestly, this comes pretty darn close. I noticed an improvement over the Sony X950G(2019 model), viewing angles are great! Gaming on the TV is also excellent, but unfortunately the set does not have HDMI 2.1. That's why I gave it 4 stars honestly, but it is not a deal breaker for me because I still chose this TV. I was close to choosing the X900H because it has HDMI 2.1, but the picture quality is not as great as this set in my opinion, and that was not worth it to me. Would be nice to have a PS5 that can take advantage HDMI 2.1, but quite frankly games barely are targeting 4k @60 Hz with ray tracing on or off. I'm perfectly fine gaming on a TV that will look it's best at 4k 60. Even if they get 120 Hz right with HDMI 2.1, it's not gong to be at 4k, I'm pretty sure about that, and I want my picture to look it's best, ray tracing and all. Hope this helps some of you out.

Thank you for the feedback. We really appreciate the time you took to share so many details about your experience with television. Unfortunately, the X950H doesn't support HDMI 2.1 features. The TVs that will support the HDMI 2.1 features via software update are XBR X900H / 90CH and Z8H. We always strive to deliver the best picture quality with our TVs. My 10+ year old 52” Sony began to develop a couple vertical lines. It sounded like a repair would take some time and might be more $ than I was prepared to pay. Would prefer to spend my money on a new 65” Sony ( we loved our old one ), so that’s how I came to having fantastic new TV! Setup was a breeze...just answered a few on screen questions, follow simple connection instructions and enjoy! I thought my 52” had a great picture, but this new one with my old Denon AVR is noticeably much better, color is better, sound is better...what more need I say. Buy one and make your Covid-19 binge watching more enjoyable! You won’t be sorry. I highly recommend this Sony Model TV ! JDavis

I have had several Samsungs over the years and they are fair. Good for the price. This Sony blows them away so far. The remote has many short cuts which I like. The new Samsungs remote is very limited even though you can still get to settings and such with a lot of drilling down through their menus. Picture on the Sony is great. I will say that some of the setting controls are limited and/or a little difficult to set. It took a while for me to find the bluetooth setting for headphones. It is not under "sound". It is under "remote and accessories". That is a little counterintuitive to me. The only weird things that has happened is (1) Amazon Prime app got hung up and froze all of the smart hub features. I actually had to turn off the TV; unplug it for 15 seconds; plug it back in and turn it on. That fixed the problem. (2) when I turned on my bluetooth headphones the other day, they connected but didn't turn off the TV output to the surround. I unpaired the headphones and paired paired them again. The headphones sound didn't turn back on even though the TV said they were connected. The surround kept playing. I had to do the same thing of unplugging the TV to reset the bluetooth. Now it works. In defense of Sony. The 1st issue could have just been the Amazon Prime app which I have had problems with on other TVs and the 2nd problem could be caused by the ancient and sometimes malfuntioning Samsung surround system. It might have confused the TV. Bluetooth can be funky on any device at times.

I have never been happier with a television purchase, the Sony 65” X950H is exceptional. I felt horrible about returning the Sony 65” A8H OLED but am now so very glad I did. The X950H comes with Sony’s best Ultimate X1 computer processor which has a fantastic refresh rate for movies and sports. Another great feature is Sony’s automatic 4K upscaling system which upscales 100 year old movies and everything in between up to nearly 4K. Backlight full array LED, Automatic Local Dimming and Enhanced Side View for larger rooms round off some of its best features. It’s been 6 weeks since the purchase and I am still stunned at the realistic and elegant HDR picture quality. One thing, the TV sits back about 2 inches if mounted on legs so it’s intended for a low entertainment center.

Hands down, the only TV I would even consider. I own a 55 inch of an earlier model, and absolutely love it (4 years still looks perfect) but when we moved we wanted something larger, a little more cinematic. Most of the times people will say "who cares about how the lights in the screen work, it's a tv" I'm telling you now, IT MATTERS. The lighting on this screen makes everything so much more vibrant, the darks are rich and the lights are brilliant. All my favorite apps are right there, I can tell my google home to do things for me, you really don't even need a remote if you have a Google Assistant. It's my favorite electronic I've ever owned.

I did some reading on this set before purchasing. Mostly positive reviews, but I had to see for myself. I want to my local Best Buy here in Prescott and it clearly had the brightest pic of the lot and the colors were amazing. I bought it on sale and was not disappointed. I've watch HDR 4K stuff, upscaled 1080 and even SD stuff and it all looks great. Coupled with a sound bar, I now have a home theater experience that has usurped my need to watch movies in the theater. Also, because Apple TV plus is now available as an app I no longer need my AppleTV - one less device to hook up. Get this set!

I'm a previous Sony X950G TV owner, who to no fault of its own met an untimely end. The replacement X950H succeeds a Samsung Q80T that I returned because the picture was just very disappointing. This TV lives up to my expectations. The picture is bright, colors are brilliant, settings are direct and nothing is hidden based upon what kind of content you're displaying (unlike how Samsung seems to like doing it). I game on it with a PS5 with no complaints in picture quality or performance. The only thing I can knock this TV for, is I really hate the stand being at the ends of the TV and how they mount to the TV. I'm going to have to get a standard tabletop TV mount stand for this unit before long as my TV stand is supported only in the center and the top shelf is starting to bow from the weight.

We bought this TV to replace our 55in Sony Bravia that we have had for 10+ years. We had no problems with our old TV, but being home and watching more TV, we decided to buy a larger TV. We looked at all brands and kept coming back to this TV. Yes, Sony is notoriously more expensive than other brands, but we also keep our TVs forever and have never had an issue.

Very good set. Best option if you’re not ready to pay even more for an OLED. Price point is still a bit high but I thought it was worth stepping up from the X900H to this X950H for the better processor and a very noticeable difference in the viewing angle. This may not be as important if your room setup puts viewers directly in front of the screen, as both models are very similar in that regard. The HD picture Quality is excellent for a LED and the sound quality is good for a TV right out of the box. Setup is easy and everything has worked as advertised so far (3-4 weeks).

So far, this TV has been amazing. Love the voice "Ok Google" feature. The picture imaging is crazy good, extremely bright while having very dark...dark. Among the things that sold me...when going to Best Buy and evaluating the different options at different price points, both of the employees mentioned this is the TV they personally own. That tipped the scale for me, and haven't been disappointed at all. Only thing maybe is tweaking the remote in some way, feel dated. But then again, we just tell the TV what to do a lot of the times lol. Good stuff.

This is a great TV! But the Android operating environment needs some work. Earlier it had problems with sound dropping out. Then, It had issues with recognizing the Directv satellite desktop box. it seems a recent software update might have fixed that. There is still an issue of input of the Zip code as there is no "enter" key on the remote. but fortunately i have a keypad connected to the TV. The color quality of the TV is awesome. I would recommend this TV. I have worked with complex systems for years, but even i have found some of the functionality cumbersome.

Excellent picture quality and Android TV is fantastic. When I compared to the X900H I determined the overall picture quality was far better on the 950H. Yes, the 900H support ATSC3 and HDMI 2.1 (or will in the future), I think HDMI 2.1 is only important to extreme gamers and ATSC3 to those who wish to use next gen off air antennas in markets that already (or soon) will support ATSC3. I think most of us stream our video these days (or use cable) so most of what the 900H offers is unnecessary. Unless you're an extreme gamer waiting on PS5.
