This TV is amazing.. and I’m coming from Samsung. This is my first time owning a Sony and I did a lot of research before buying. My living room is super bright so past TVs struggled to look good when watching during the TV. This is the one of the brightest pictures I’ve ever seen, without ruining the quality. The picture quality is amazing. Everyone that has been over is amazed at how great the picture is. I use Avatar to show how great it is. If you’re contemplating which TV to get, just get this one.

I went in looking for a great TV, and had not even considered Sony. But the young man working the TV department that day helped me sort through all the technology options, and ultimately talked me into this Sony model, rather than a newer more expensive model. I couldn't have been more pleased when I got it home and started enjoying it. Excellent picture and WIDE viewing angle. The wide angle is what I was sold on, and it exceeded my expectation in my living room.

I don't typically leave reviews but this may help someone make a decision. I'm going to keep it short and sweet. The picture AND sound quality is amazing. I really didn't expect it to be as gorgeous as it is because of the price (truly I'd expect something of this caliber to be in the $2500-3000 range). Honestly, I don't ever put much thought into the speakers because I always use a soundbar but it actually puts out really decent, clean sound. Anyways, I said all that to say this: For the price, it's absolutely worth it. I was shocked at how awesome the picture quality is... I find that often the TV looks good on the showroom floor but at home it's not the same. This is quite the opposite. Very happy with it!

I read a lot of reviews before buying, including what size to buy. Thank goodness I did as I thought I wanted a 75" but read that optimum viewing range for 65" was 14 feet, which is exactly what I have in my room. I went with the 65" and it is perfect for my room. I love the clarity, color, motion blur (lack of it!!!) and sound. It seems to have hit all my buttons and I am quite happy with the TV. The wife wants a sound bar but I don't know why.. I would recommend this TV!

Excellent TV! Operating system is very smooth and responsive. Love how the TV saves the settings for each one of your HDMI's out. As a box custom is the best looking setting. But could use some custom tweaking. Very little screen glare and the viewing angle is amazing. Media apps look best when coming from the TV directly versus using external sources. One thing to watch out for is the use of HDMI 2.0. I found the TV had no signal hiccups was using HDMI 2.1.

Amazing. better than expected. Coming from a 2015 XBR65x850C the upgrade so far has been amazing. The blacks actually get within a stones throw from OLED with the security of knowing this will hopefully last longer. Been waiting for this to come down in price a bit, but the 850C died so i pulled the trigger. You will not be disapointed. So much faster in the OS its actualy usable again and watching 4k DolbyVision HDR, etc etc etc will blow your mind!

Big upgrade from my xbr65x750D. Colors, blacks, brightness are all superb. The built in wide angle viewing is almost as good as the previous models IPS panel. The built in processor is great for on board apps with no noticed hesitation during use. Works great for PS Pro and gaming. Looking great with Cyberpunk and AC Origins. I don't do much FPS gaming so no noticeable issues with Game mode on. Local dimming does well in minimizing haloing.

the colors pop, the picture is great whether you're watching a movie or an extreme sport. I would not recommend this TV for next-gen gaming as I did experience some scan lines and screen tearing, even with a certified HDMI cable. 4k@60fps is doable but upscaling in any fashion to anything beyond that can be nightmarish (I don't believe this device has HDMI2.1). Overall, great hardware for casual living room viewing, many viewing angles for wraparound seating, compatible with many home theater setups, and semi easy on the wallet.

Yes, it was worth the upgrade! I'm not sure I was prepared for how bright this TV gets but after a few days I have finally gotten used to it. The HDR on this set is amazing. Initially thinking 55" but went 65" and not regretting it. Immediately the entire family was sucked into watching Mandalorian series on this display. Previously the kids had no interest. Still trying to figure out my preferred picture settings.

Great quality TV, but the audio requires a sound bar. With such high quality visual, why wouldn't Sony incorporate high quality audio? The two legged stand that the TV sits in is less than desirable. It will hold the weight, but the legs do not easily fit into the slots on the bottom of each side of the TV. The legs are also v-shaped metal prongs that dig into the TV console. A center stand that allows the TV to pivot as needed, would provide greater flexibility for our needs. For a wall mount this would, obviously, not be necessary.

I did a lot of research on what to buy before I selected the Sony x950h. And I'm glad I did. Television are different since I bought my last one. They seem to be more gocused on how you want to use them. Some focus on gamers. Others on the cable broadcasts. I'm a movie buff so the 950h was the perfect solution. I know that oled sets get higher reviews but imho the value is not there and there are concerns that I have abut the technology. So far I have played a couple of hdr discs. They looked fabulous. Blacks are very good and the extended color gamut was great. Although I had seen both movies before I felt as if they were new. I also streamed some uhd content and found it as good as the discs. Standard content seemed to be very nice. The upconversion to 4k ftom even a dvd is fine. Though I purchased this tv on 10/14 it was only delivered on 11/5 so this review is based on a one day trial. Even so I am pleased that I made the purchase. The sound is better than I expected. Everyone hates tv sound ...and rightfully so. I was able to make out dialog better than I expected. That said I will look for a sound bar to improve the bass.

Picked this TV up a few weeks ago 55". it seemed kinda small to my other 55" i`m replacing. i asked if I could return it, no problem what soever. i ordered the 65", They delivered the new one and took the old one the same day. They even put the 55" back in the box. i`m so impressed with this kinda service. The TV is great, along with the picture quality and the atmos capable. I bought this one for the earc\arc HDMI jack for sound. not all the new TVs have this. But its a must for great sound quality. I highly recommend this TV to anyone who love a great UHD picture and great sound.

This is for movies watching streaming and daily content. PS4 does looks good on it but that is not what it purchased was for. It is in a bright room and still has a great picture.
