Great product Sounds great looks good in the car The apple play is a great feature, very happy with this purchase

I really like my Sony receiver, great upgrade to my 2009 Chevy Silverado. Sound is good but will sound even better with a subwoofer. Installation was quick (a little over an hour), the only thing I wish I would've done different was talk to the installer about location of the USB cord, not a huge deal though. Over all I give it a thumbs up.

I put this on my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. What a refreshing change! The Apple Car Play is snappy and responsive and sound quality is good.

I bought one for my car and love it. So I bought another one for my wife car. The monitor is big and it has good sound quality.

2017 ram 1500, bought this unit for my truck for the Apple car play. Everything works excellent, with excellent sound, Couldn’t be happier!

This is in response more to some of the negative complaints. I used this thing extensively over a two week period while on a 7000 Mile Roadtrip. Pros: -This thing sounds good for starters, I installed a set of kickers in my 2016 toyota corolla and I am questioning if I even need a woofer. -Android Auto worked flawlessly (My advice to people struggling with disconnecting is use a legit Samsung cord as I find those are usually the best rated from a power standpoint. You want a cord that can push atleast 2.0A and it will say it if it does so. Anything below that and the cord will not be pushing enough power for everything android auto wants to accomplish. -Screen was bright enough that even on a bright day could see fine. Cons: -WHen it does disconnect it can be fustrating, if that is something you dont want to deal with then pay for a unit that does android or carplay wirelessly. -Capacitive are not the worst but if you want ease of use go for resistive as that will act more like your smartphone. -If playing video files from a USB most play well except files that depend on say a 5.1 audio source. If it was 2 channel audio like old king of the hill episodes they played fine. (MKV Files) I am sure mp4 video files play flawslessly although havent tested. Thats really it the complaints are minor and determine if you should go for the 3000 model instead. Also visually there isnt a lot to customize so if you really like tinkering this probably isnt for you. Straight forward unit that makes your music sound better and gets to the point. For 399 what more can you ask for.

Daughter’s first radio in her first car... 2005 Toyota Matrix fit great and set up was easy. Changed to a 2009 Subaru Impreza without any issues. Daughter loves it and her friends are jealous. Good hands free unit for safe driving and the sound is great even on stock speakers.

works great with my samsung phone. easy to operate. sounds good. i want to get back up camera for it.

I caught this radio on sale for $400 at the time of purchase I owned it for almost 6 moknths before it was literally ripped OUT of my truck dash and stolen... but in those 6 months It was a GREAT radio. Of course I wish that the android auto was wireless but that was literally my ONLY complaint it was very useful and pretty quick as far as double din radios go. It sounded great in my 2009 Silverado and I miss it... lol

Apple car play works great! The display is nice and the added sound quality that this adds to your car is well worth the cost.

Works really well! An amazing unit for an older vehicle. If you have the Sirius online APP there is no need to put the satellite receiver separate in your car as the CarPlay has Sirius as an app on there!!

This is my second Sony car stereo and I really like them both. Lots of features but easy to use

It's not that the Sony 3000 isn't functional, it is. What it's lacking is being intuitive and fun. Look at the home screen, it's indicative of what you'll get. Practical. The notification screen, practical. The color choices, practical although you'll probably default to the blue displayed. I guess I expected to much but I trust the Sony brand. I do like that it reads all the useable apps when you plug in Android Auto. It functions well it is just lackluster. The resistive screen is somewhat annoying, it tends to scroll when you touch it so I have to fiddle with it when driving. I'm going to return it for the Pioneer I originally wanted when it becomes available. I wished I liked it more.

Bought the XAV-AX3000 as part of a complete audio upgrade for my 2005 Mercedes C230 Kompressor Sport, which included new head unit, amplifier, speakers and soundproofing. I enjoy having BlueTooth, although the interface is extremely rudimentary. It can only connect to one phone at a time and only remembers the last phone connected, plus lacks the ability to personalize the different phones. The unit interacts well with my steering wheel controls and I am very satisfied with the sound produced. But, the ONE feature feature I was most wanting and excited for was CarPlay for my iPhones, which flat out doesn't work! I've spent the past two days double and triple-checking the complete installation, troubleshooting any aspect that may cause this anomaly including checking voltage drops and resistance buying Apple and Anker Lightning cables in multiple lengths, including 12" and CarPlay just doesn't work! As soon as I plug in my lightning cable and select a song, all buttons on the head unit become non-operative, all of them! When I try the steering wheel controls, regardless of function ALL of them raise the volume, sometimes running away without stopping until the music is maxed! This can only be corrected by turning the key off and pulling it from the ignition while music is screaming at 115 dB. Im at a loss and will return to Best Buy tomorrow to inquire about a replacement head unit or returning it outright for something better.

Could benefit from some customization options, but this unit works great. Screen feedback is great. Android Auto is fantastic. Small rear footprint is nice too. Lack of disc drive is kind of a bummer because I couldn't get a bunch of video files to play via USB. Some did, others wouldnt or wouldnt play audio.
