I purchased this for my Sony A7rii camera. It worked well, but I had to use an adaptor, since my camera is a full frame mirrorless camera. The only thing I did not like was using an adaptor even though it worked fine.

Great lens, required software update on camera before it would recognize the lens. Overall great product.

I highly reccomend this lens for Sony camera holders. Especially if you own the new Alpha a77 (now that is a camera) I had a less expensive 70-300 lens and was dissapointed with it. I can,t afford the 2.8 400 mm G yet, but until then this Sony lens 70-300mm G lens is excellent. My color quality is better than any lens I have owned and the sharpness and clarity is great. I shot elk, deer, birds and buffalo in the distance and I have pictures that I was never able to get before and they are "high quality sharp as a tack photos." I have owned this lens now for three months and I have shot 4,000+ photos. The camera so far has shown no signs of lens creep. I know that the camera itself plays a significant part of the quality, and this combo is dynamite. I am happy with this combo and I don't wish I had a different camera. Don't tell Sony, they might not like that I could be satisfied with this combo for a decade. Not good for them. I know this review is for the lens... I just feel that I am getting what this lens is capable of doing with the design work that has gone into the engineering of both for Sony. Congratulations to Sony for making me a happy customer.

The lense is fantastic and easy to use. The build quality is top notch and the pictures come out amazing! If you're looking for a sharp zoom lense to compliment your kit, this is your lense. The lense is really light and easily stored in a regular camera bag (no need for a huge bag or backpack). I would highly recommend this lense!
