Customers are enthusiastic about the picture quality, citing mesmerizing visuals and excellent black levels. Many also praise the ease of use and the TV's ability to upscale lower-resolution content to 4K. However, some users find the remote control difficult to use, and a few have reported software issues. The TV's weight is also a concern for some customers.

The tv seems good. The first tv was broken, the second took a week to get. Geek squad deleted all our dvr content during set up and refused to mount the sound bar on the replacement tv, saying the $1000 I paid them for installation was only good on the first (broken) tv.

The smart TV features are nice and work but whenever there’s a software update the TV starts acting weird. I had to unplug TV from power outlet in order for TV to start working again. Other than that TV has been great.

We bought this TV and are very excited to use it but due to our living situation, we haven't opened the box yet. Once some of the needed construction is completed on our home, we will be in front of it all the time.
Thanks!!!

Bad experience with purchase of XBR75X940D TV

Purchased this TV at a Best Buy store on 7 Apr and they were back ordered so delivery was scheduled for 28 Apr. TV delivered but this was a re-furbished or returned TV. No instruction manual, remote not wrapped, no batteries included, TV wrap just pulled over. Fingerprints all over TV and one of the plastic cable management was cut off I guess when they were putting it back in the box. I called Best Buy Geek Squad and they were very helpful and said they place an order for me to be delivered a replacement on 2 May. Took another day off from work to wait on this delivery and it never came. I called Best Buy and they told me that an order was never placed to delivery a TV! Ugh!!! Again the Geek Squad lady was very helpful and was able to complete the order to deliver a replacement TV on Monday, 8 May. Took the day off from work to wait for the delivery which was scheduled from 8AM-12PM. At 10AM with no call from the delivery people I called Best Buy again and they told me that there was any issue with getting the TV from another location and it would not be delivered as promised. The next date would be 13 Apr, a Saturday. Not going to spend my Saturday morning waiting on a delivery that may or may not come. I told the Geek Squad lady to not bother with the delivery that I wanted this order cancelled. If they would have just told me "Hey we need to scavenge around for one" that would have been the end of it. So here I am a month later frustrated and having to start the whole process of buying a TV from anyone other than Best Buy. Thank you Best Buy for this experience.

Great picture, poor HDMI control and ghosting!

The picture on this TV is amazing but on high contrast images such as animation the ghosting is unbearable. Also I have had a lot of issues with this TV and the 940E with HDMI control and losing HDMI signal without reseating the HDMI cable. Unbelievable for a TV of this price range. I have also given up on Wi-Fi and just use an ethernet cable since the speed is slow although my router is 6 feet away. Avoid -- I Returned.

Best BIG 4k for the money

I used to have the 65x930C and unfortunately had a flew blown pixels and the tv could not be repaired so I got my money back towards another TV. I was just going to get the 65x930D, Oled or the Sony Z9. When looking at the cost of each and how much I paid for the 930, I knew that if I got the 930d, I was probably not going to be as happy because the tv would look smaller due to the speakers on the older model and really started thinking about this set.
The Oled while amazing is not as great as I think some people have it rated and with burn in a very firm possibility when I tend to fall asleep on the couch, I immediately ruled it out. I personally think video and audio are subjective to each person, and even thought I could read off every spec about the OLED, I just didn't love it when viewing in the store or on one of my friends sets. I really think it lacks a lot on 1080 content, their upscaler is NOT on par with Sony's.
Then there was the z9, Sonys flagship model. The Z9 is an absolutely flawless screen and I preferred it over the OLED, but at $5500 for 65 inches, I just could not pull the trigger. And ther was no way I was spending 9k on their 75 inch, even if I really did see the value of that tv, like I said flawless.
I decided to spend a little more money and grab the 75x940D and I am very glad i did. I used to think that tvs above 65 inches just did not look all that great. This tv changed my opinions drastically. The black levels and color on this set when watching 1080 or 4k content are amazing! I have mine paired with Panasonic 4k blu ray player(owned the Samsung as well until the Panasonic came out), Marantz Receiver and bowers and wilkins tower speakers and I may never go to the movie theater again! I love the new remote with the voice controls in it, last years model had two different remotes and that was pretty annoying.
I also have a small fortune tied up in Audioquest Vodka cables and a Panamax power conditioner. "Experts" might say that hdmis do not make a major difference, I switched between some lesser expensive and my new cables I got for this tv and there was definitely a difference. especially with audio, that you just do not get with other cables.
The only con I have for the tv is the darkened corners which other reviews had eluded to, but knowing that could be an issue, I only noticed them when I was starring at those specific spots, you just don't notice them during normal viewing. I will get the tv calibrated once I have 200 hours or so on it, I have had other tvs calibrated in the past and they have only gotten better with the service done. Even if that issue isn't cleared up, I will still say this is the best 75 inch on the market unless you consider the Z9 or OLED, but in the price range you get for those sets, you could buy 2 or 3 of these. No 3d glasses with the set, but I could care less as I hate watching anything in 3d.
Sony in my opinion is the only brand worth considering in 4K, i know a lot of people like Samsungs and I get that they are the "it" brand now, but if you want awesome natural color and great black levels, pick this set up!
