I had originally purchased the Sony 850D 75" 4K television thinking that I would save some money, and quickly returned it for the 940D. Not that the 850D was a bad television it's just that this one is so much better! The black color is so much deeper and the overall lines just seem more crisp. I love this television!!!

Now this tv has it all , good hdr , great options for picture adjustments. Takes a while to get everything set to your likes. I’m very pleased with this tv.

I'm very happy with my Sony 940D. I had an 8 series Sony prior and decided to go with a Samsung 65" and was excited about the bright colors. But after a week I realized that I didn't like the fake appearance of things and wanted the true colors and contrasts for movies and such. I returned the Samsung and went with the 940D. Looking forward to seeing my first 4K Ultra HD movie on it.....

This set has left me quite impressed over the few weeks that I have owned it. Great picture, colors, lighting, and brightness, even when up-scaling from 1080p. As with most 4k sets these really shine when viewing native 4k content. I have been watching The Grand Tour on Amazon, and it looks AMAZING!

I was looking for a replacement for my 73" Mitsubishi DLP HDTV big screen. I am happy with my purchase!! Although, I was expecting a huge difference from my DLP and I have not. The image is definitely sharper and brighter which is what I was looking for. What I am happy and surprised to report is that the image is not like my 55" LG in my bedroom or other Samsungs I've seen where the image is too artificial...looks like a soap opera or where the actors are standing in front of a blue/green screen. That was my biggest hesitation of upgrading to a new TV. I am glad that is TV maintains a cinematic image!! Live TV, prime time shows and sitcoms all look "real" and not like actors are in front of a "screen" showing CG. I cannot comment on the smart aspect of the TV as I am not sure how to set that up yet. I use a receiver as my "switcher" or input to the TV. So my cable, Blue-ray, gaming systems, etc are all connected to my receiver and only use the TV as my monitor. But I do not know what do do when the TV/Smart TV is receiving all the signals (video and sound). How do I get sound into my receiver from the Smart TV? Just something to think about when upgrading to a TV with Smart TV and you use a receiver to listen to the audio portion of the TV/threater experience.

High quality picture, and amazing color. No need for movie theater.

From set up to use, this set is really special..easy to navigate the software that gets you going..outstanding apps and connectivity .. I chose to link with a Sonos surround sound and it works seamlessly..I would recommend that you have a Geek Squad technician adjust the factory color pallet, as the picture went from great to unbeleivable after this proceedure.

First bought the xbr65x930D around May and picture wise it's beautiful but then kept seeing the 940D and around Nov decided to pull the trigger on it and it's just an amazing Tv just amazing picture wise sound wise pair this tv with an oppo 203 or the Panasonic 4K player and it will look so much better.... It's well worth the price specially for a living room

Compared 75" 4K HDR TV's, as came away liking the Sony model better than the current Samsung model, both are nice TV's. Though just like the Smart TV package, Sony 4K HDR technology and back lighting a little better than the Samsung Edge Lit model. Upgraded from Pioneer PRO-150FD 60" Plasma 1080p, which was a very nice TV, though happy I made the change...

I originally bought the Sony 850C but after having 3D issues, I took it back and ended up with this one the 940. It's twice as expensive but the picture both 2D and 3D are great. The 3D is much more noticeable on this one then the 850. After calibration it was even better. Would buy again.

This is a beautiful very bright picture! 4 k content is stunning!

The Sony TV has exceeded my expectations. The blacks are fantastic and short of OLED, the best I've seen. Jaw dropping colors, brightness and HDR capabilities make it even better. I highly recommend this set. Geek Squad mounted the TV in my basement and did a great job as well.
