Its like having a movie theater in your living room. Outstanding picture, and easy to hook up smart features to wi-fi. Hard to put together because of the size and the instructions are just pictures no words takes at least two people.

I was debating between a 65 in 4k OLED, the SONY 75z9d and this TV. For the size of my room, the 75 inch TV made more sense. The 75z9D has a crisper picture, but the price difference between the two TVs is hard to swallow. Very happy with this TV. Great picture quality. Easy to control features.

This is our 5th Sony Bravia Television, I am wondering why we waited so long to get it. The only thing better than the TV is the GEEK Squad and their service, not only getting it on the wall but putting in the wire boxes as well. Very neat and professional and in an extremely timely manner!!

Was going to do the X840D until I went to the store and saw them side by side. While the 840 is a great TV, the 940 is even noticeably better to a non audiophile. If you aren't sure, go see them both and decide for yourself

I was hesitant to spend this much money on a television. However, since this was going to be a centerpiece of my home theater, and after seeing the product at the Best Buy Showroom, I took the plunge. Paired with a Dolby atmos soundbar the exceeded my expectations. The picture was bright and sufficiently showed excellent blacks. I have yet to use the 3D but I am very happy with all the 2D features. The menu was easy to maneuver. I read no directions during setup and it was very self evident. Very happy.

Moved up from a 70 inch 850C and am very pleased. The blacks are blacker as advertised. The 3D is much much better on the 940D.

I was locked in to purchasing a LG OLED because everything I read said it was the best TV on the market. It was time to replace my Pioneer KURO Plasma which many years ago had the title of best TV. I attended CES last year when LG received awards from CNET for Best in Show for the OLED. But I was also impressed by SONY's XBR. The Z series is SONY's flagship, but not financially realistic. So I "settled" for the XBR75X940D because for almost the same $, I got a much larger display and sacrificed a teeny bit of black level. Ran a google search to optimize settings. Frustrating set up with wireless internet - couldn't figure out how to enter alphabetic characters to enter password for WiFi - had to plug in a physical keyboard via USB. Have yet to watch any 4K content but the upscaling with Direct TV and my OPPO player has been impressive, particularly PIXAR movies. Very happy with my purchase, esp as I got a great deal with open box pricing.

The Sony 4K 75 inch is an incredible picture the clarity both in 4K content as well as HD. Full backlight creates deep blacks Pure whites and great contrast I went from a 60 Inch Samsung plasma to this Sony no regrets

I initially went to buy the 65" TV and was talked into buying the 75" by my wife, kids, and the Best Buy Salesman. I found the menus easy to navigate and the picture is very good, especially when streaming Ultra 4K programming. Unfortunately, there is not much programming available to date. My daughter and I have used it most for gaming - the detail of the various characters is incredible.

It's been over a month now and it's been a joy watching the 4K content on the TV. The blacks are deep black and provides sharp video for the content. I have tried bluray & DVD's both and results have been superb.

I was considering 65" OLED, but when I saw the the Sony XBRx940D side by side in Best Buy, in Gilroy, CA, my mind was made up. First of all, props out to the Gilroy, CA store who had the TVs set up better than any store in the Bay Area; why? Because they did not have every TV set on VIVID! I was able to see each TV that I was considering with the optimal or near optimal display settings. While the OLED is great, I was sold on the size, upscaling, accurate color, motion rendition of the Sony 940D. Got it home and popped in Star Wars Awakening on 1080p on Oppo 103. Oh My Word! It was simply awesome and not even 4K. Had a few basic support calls and Sony Support was great. It's not a perfect TV, but pretty darn great and at the current price, I think it is a steal Once again ...kudos to Magnolia/Best Buy in Gilroy, CA for having the TVs setup in such a way that you can make an informed decision on a significant purchase.

This 75" Sony is a new Christmas fixture on the main wall of our living room. SUPERB COLORS, deep rich blacks and whites and unbelievable color pallette. 4K Discs meet or exceed our wildest expectations. Beautiful presentation on the wall, upscale, clean lines.

Excellent picture in both 2D and 3D. Very satisfied with this TV as the center piece of my home theater system. Included owner's manual not impressive, but PDF download available on Sony website. A bit expensive, but worth it if you enjoy movies at home.

This TV is everything as advertised. I previously had a Samsung 4K TV I exchanged for this one because the Samsung TV had software issues affecting my use of it. I am totally happy with this unit.

Great picture, vibrant colors. Love how thin it is and that the wires are all hidden. We have it in the great room above the fire place. Sometimes I feel I am right there in the picture! My husband researched it online before we bought it. Great choice!

This is the best TV I have ever owned and I have purchased five in the last three years. Sony is again the power house in Television that they used to be. It isn't cheap but well worth it.

Though the picture quality may not be up to the standard of the Sony Z series or the LG OLED it does represent a value. The 75 inch Z is $4000 more expensive while the 78 inch LG is even more outlandishly priced. We sit 14 feet from the television so the large size screen was a priority. I found the best results were obtained by starting in either of the cinema modes and making refinements from there. The clear setting for clarity yielded the best compromise for motion though you will need to pump brightness to compensate as this darkens the picture a bit.
