Considering the cost savings over OLED I am satisfied with this unit. My one complaint is the prolonged start up process. That’s why I gave it a 4 rather than 5 star rating. I am sure this applies to all the models, regardless of screen type. And I don’t think this applies to a direct connection to a cable box. I disconnected the wifi to eliminate starting into the connected services. But the TV seems to be expecting to be connected directly to the cable box. My unit is connected to a surround sound receiver. If I turn the TV on first then the receiver the TV doesn’t automatically find the receiver and says that the cable box is off. So the receiver must be turned on and fully running before turning on the TV. Most of the time this works but sometimes it triggers the receiver’s input menu and that requires selecting the cable box input on the receiver’s remote. Add to that the annoying screen saver mode that a Xfinity now boots into and you have a rather tedious process just to watch simple TV and one that requires the use of 3 remotes. My former 2017 Samsung TV booted quickly and correctly every time with minimal intervention. Otherwise I recommend this TV and Sony’s menu system seems to be straightforward and and easy to use. My one other complaint with most systems these days is the lack of a sleep button. They sure are handy. P.S. Brightness is certainly not a problem. It’s very good.

We had the pleasure of having it installed by the Geek Squad. They were very knowledeable about the brand we chose, The installation was excellent! I'm very glad we chose to have it installed. We are a football family. (Roll Tide!) It's like you're standing on the field with the players and Coach Saban! We will enjoy it for a long time!

The color quality is natural and realistic. The brightness is perfect for my living room, as the room is dark, with the light on down the hall. Downloading apps/signing into apps is super easy. Only issue i had is the tv froze (once), possibly because the internet in my area is spotty. After turning off the tv and resetting my modem, I’ve had no other problems.

The remote takes a little getting used to. The one that can be downloaded to a cell phone has chronic complaints regarding ads that pop-up, didn’t add it as a result. The sales person at Best Buy was friendly, accommodating and her recommendation was a huge success! Highly recommend Best Buy and the TV!!

There is a couple things to point out to new buyers. 1.) Make sure you create a google tv account and update the software for optimal picture. 2.) Sound bar is definitely needed if you do not mount TV. This helps balance out TV/Sports ETC. Otherwise TV speakers have some inconsistencies for loudness and need adjusted throughout certain movies.

Pairs well and easily with the Sony sound bar wireless HT-A7000 system. Atmos and dolby sound great. Downsides. The controls get laggy often. And I've had to do hard shutdowns (unplug it to get it to reseat) least once a week since I've owned it.

There are so many apps available that I almost never use my firestick or Apple TV. The sound from the speakers is better than our other TVs. So, I rarely turn on my connected Bose surround sound system. I haven’t figured out some of the features yet. Like, I couldn’t find a sleep timer setting. That’s about the only con I have.

Excellent TV, easy setup

When it found the Apple TV it switched over to using it for sound, without me fussing with speaker setup or anything. The picture is amazing: we can see everything we’re supposed to, even during daylight and those “artistically “ dark scenes. Naturally it works amazingly well woth the PlayStation. Very happy with this purchase!
