Expected more at this price. Going back to OLED.

Delivered at the end of October, and exchanging it for the 77" LG C3 for the same price. Now that I've owned my LG GX for 3yrs, I don't think I can go back to LED. The bloom has been quite noticeable, and not just around text. Against a dark background, under the Dolby Vision Bright mode (apparently the most color accurate), people would have bloom around them. It also didn't take moving much off angle in order to see bloom and color degradation. That also means the depths of black aren't competitive with mid-tier OLEDs. If you own an OLED, stick with OLED. if you're upgrading from an older LED, this will rock, BUT same price gets you in to great OLEDs. Pros: Sound is impressive. Very bright. Cons: does not compete with OLEDs at the same price. Once you experience the crispness of an OLED, it's hard to switch back to LED.

The room is bright and a LED tv works best. Because the room is narrow there is no offset viewing. Refresh rate is great for viewing action movies and hockey.

Switched to the mini led because the Sony OLEDs just don't get that bright and have a lot of issues with glare. That said though even with the "anti-reflextive" coating touted in the descriptions there is still more glare than there should be. Sometimes even worse as there is this refractive effect across the screen from bright lights that are at an angle. But the over increase in brightness minimizes this a lot. Still a winner!

With X-Anti Reflection, pictures are much clearer with less light reflection, off-angle color and brightness are preserved with less glare. If you really want the best viewing experience, it's also a good idea to turn off all lighting sources as Sony TVs look the best in the darkest environment possible. Light from windows and lamps may cause glare on the TV screen. Using a brighter Picture Mode, like Vivid or Standard, will also help reduce reflection while watching TV or gaming. In speaking with an associate, I was advised about this tv and after some deliberation, I took the plunge. So far, I’m glad for the advice and I am thoroughly enjoying the tv. The picture is quite crisp and my PS5 looks good on it. The speakers aren’t half bad either, though I did install a Sonos sound system.

The antireflective coating does partially reduce reflectance of ambient light from windows, but it also introduces light rainbow effects due to refraction effects with that ambient light.
