If you reading review in regards to the back lighting this should help. Yes it is indeed an issue with a pitch black screen and while I am not thrilled about it, when watching movies its completely unnoticeable. If you are look to clear that the A80J is the next best option. Having said that it is an amazing 75in TV for the price and have no other negative issues. Easy to setup, easy to use, very bright and sound quality is much better then expected.

Wow! I mean seriously, the Sony Bravia XR 95j is freaking excellent!! I’m so glad we’re waited for the March / February sales and wicked glass we spent the extra money to go with this one, instead of the Bravia XR 90j. It was worth every penny just for the way reduced glare and reflection and the wide angle viewing, which was important to us. Wife was furious that I spent the extra money for the X95j, she stated that way, right up until we turned it on and she heard our teenage son saying “Holy crap!” She walked into the living room and her jaw dropped, the image on the screen was just stunning, and we hadn’t even tweaked the settings yet! Lol. The other great thing is that with regard to the settings, it’s unlike most TV’s we’ve had in the last 10 years, the settings are quickly accessible, understandable and they do exactly what you think they’ll do! very, very user friendly. So much so, I can jump in and out and change the settings if needed for a different movie or show, literally in seconds, without losing the picture on the screen, so you see the changes on the fly. This is a really great TV and it’s currently on sale for like $2299 in my market, like $700 off the regular price, and in my opinion, the regular price is worth it as well. Very, very happy with this, and the wifie is still thrilled with it and telling everyone how great it is! Lol… The photos don’t really do it Justice.

Awesome TV. Best picture of any brand in this category, if you are looking for any non-OLED TV, this one is the best 4k on the market. Sony's focus on picture quality and accuracy and colors is second to none. I didn't like the way that the Samsung looked it almost looked like they were pushing too much brightness, this one is bright but it's also gets very black in the areas that it needs to and I'm impressed even if it's not an oled. It gets pretty close. I'm also very surprised that the sound coming out of this thing. It has speakers facing you and it also has speakers off the side that reflect for a more realistic immersive sound coming just from the tv. I have a very nice sound bar, but I haven't used it since I got this tv. Sometimes it gets too loud, but this one manages to give you a very good sound. The TV comes with software that you could calibrate the picture using the sensors on the television. Overall I'm very happy, and would 10 out of 10 recommend a top notch television. As regards to the software the Google TV software is very responsive I'm not too Keen with some of the advertisements that you get, they're not all up in your face but they are there. But I don't think you can escape that with any TV nowadays that you're using their software.

I did a lot of research before buying this TV, and I am very pleased with this beautiful TV. I prefer Sony's very natural, accurate colors. The TV picture is very bright in my family room which has lots of windows facing west. The beautiful picture is very crisp and clear. I chose another Sony because of their reliability record above other brands.

This TV is so good its crazy. CRISP is the word I will use here. Good black levels, Bright, colorful, great anti-glare, hdmi 2.1, It runs with a Playstation 5 /Xbox series S without VRR better than my LG did with it lol. You will not be sad about this purchase if it is within your means.

Recently purchased this TV because my old one died. I looked at several different brands and model’s including OLED’s. Liked the OLED picture quality but did not like the burn in issue. Finally decided on the 75” Sony x95j model. So far I am very happy with this TV. The build quality is very apparent when looking at it and picking it up…it is fairly heavy. Really enjoy the picture quality too. I have made a few adjustments to the settings and it is beautiful. But feel that I can make a few more adjustments to make it even better. Watching football games on this big TV is amazing. Really liked the changes Sony made to allow better viewing from wide angles. It works great !! 4K disc viewing is terrific. The video is crisp and clean. The blacks look really good and the colors pop. Probably due to the new processor in this TV. Anyway I am very happy with my choice.

Having only had it a couple of weeks, it has performed above my expectations. Better if room is darker but even if not, the picture quality is very good. Overhead lighting is reflected more than the anti-glare feature indicated but still tolerable, we just cut them off. Room darkening curtains help in daytime. I am still learning how to best use features as the instructions are via online only, no real user book unless you print it yourself (I thought I saw a PDF). Setup a little tedious if you are not adept with the latest tech. Overall, I am pleased. I replaced my 65" Samsung because it was 1 year too old to get Disney+ as an app even though I had the proper firmware, so Samsung lost my business. They just wanted folks to buy new tv's. Finally, my son has an OLED and my black in a dark room is near the same quality imo.

Super happy with this TV, it is so beautiful. This was 3x what I've spent on any TV in the past and worth every penny. It's in a room with direct sunlight facing it from windows directly opposite and I can still see it during the day. At night I have preset settings I can easily flip to to adjust brightness and it looks awesome. Rtings gave it a lower score than I thought they would but I've always thought blooming issues on Sony were overhyped. I have a 55x950g as well, and on both TV's I've noticed blooming a combined 1 time in 2 years. Black uniformity is not an issue. What I'm most pleasantly surprised by is how QUICK the apps are on the TV. Switching from apps, apps opening, it's all insanely quick, much faster than it was even on X95J (granted I have gigabit internet and have this TV wired). I personally see no need for 3rd party streaming sticks on this one.

great tv with a beautiful picture. just make sure you setup the picture settings your self and don't use the default settings, just do a search on youtube how to set the settings to get the best picture quality. I normally do not leave reviews on products.

Great tv. Very bright. Does well in bright rooms. Colors are great. Motion is good. Looks very clean. Out of box picture settings are good. It’s not OLED quality but it probably wouldn’t do well in my bright room

Amazing TV! Picture is supper clear for all streamed movies. We still can’t believe the detail that we see with it. We’ve had for over a year and no issues so far.

Purchased this tv to replace an older Sharp Aquos that recently died. We were looking for an OLED tv but went with this one due to the space available in a cabinet. The picture quality and sound are awesome! The views are great from just about any angle thanks to the x-wide angle tech from Sony. The room this tv is in has lots of windows and the glare has not been an issue. So the x-anti reflection technology from Sony seems to be working. Android TV is okay and takes some getting used to. The google assistant on the remote has come in handy with navigating to different apps. Overall, we are very pleased with this tv especially for the price.

This is a great tv, I was between this and the A80J. After a lot of thinking, research and store visits I decided on the X95J. Reasons? I did not want to worry about potential burn out issues with the oled, yes I am not getting the color spectrum and blacks but that did not bother me at all. I use the TV for movies, streaming and a good amount of time for gaming and this TV is excellent. You had to change some settings to get what you prefer, in gaming I changed as possible to get more vivid color but without creating extra lagging and the result is awesome; you will get to the settings menu with some time and you will be able to change quickly to find the best configuration for you. PS5 is used with it and the contrast and color is great, HZD looks outstanding on it (will upload some picture later). I have had the TV for around 2 months by now, the sound is good but if you add a sound bar it will just make the experience better (I have a basic vizio with wireless subwoofer, watching movies with it just make the movie theater experience not being missed at all). In summary, this is a great TV and now is on same price than in BF. The TV performance in lighted environment is ver good, with some lights on in the room and specific angle you will notice some reflect due the anti glare coating but is the n a very specific angles and lights on, not an issue really. What I miss? The control similar to the A80J… this is the top LCD model of 2021, it would be great if Sony included the same control than on the top oled model which has backlight. Anyway you can get it online for 80 dolars and works with this TV as well, but for the price and being a flagship model it would be a nice touch to add the top control. Quality build? Great as well, you can see it and feel it, the TV is heavy and feels robust. Finishing is high end, slim frame and back covered with a nice design. Base is strong and nice looking as well, allows a super low profile, and 2 different widths.

Picture quality and colors are solid and vivid with new XR processer that came out this year. Very bright LED even in a room with lot of sunlight. TV speaker sound quality is impressive (among TV built-in speakers), but of course nothing compare with the SONY sound bar that we're pairing with. Black uniformity / local dimming is great by not the top, if you looking for true black BLACK, go with OLED but do keep in mind burn-in needs to be taking into consideration, very depends on your usage.

I debated between this and the A80J OLED. I am not an expert but try to research and read reviews / watch video reviews before purchasing a major product. I'm indifferent with this tv. I decided to go with LED because I was still worried about the longevity of OLED. I did not want to pay the higher price for the OLED and also get a protection plan because they are seemingly more susceptible to issues. All of the tvs look great in the bright store playing 8k videos. I feel that the local dimming on this tv is not that great for the premiere model even though reviews seemed to say it was great. Again, I am no expert though. Lots of blooming around text etc. I've noticed some dark scenes have seemed kind of washed out looking like the backlight was too high or something. The black bars on the top and bottom also show a lot of blooming. I have also seemed to have seen the tv actually change brightness in a dark scene almost like a noticeable flicker. I am not sure if that is from one of the auto adjusting picture settings where it is supposed to adjust in real time. I have auto local dimming set to high. I am not sure when you would ever use anything but this setting? Picture quality is awful without it set to high. I have adjusted other settings according to what I've researched the best picture settings to be. This tv was purchased as an upgrade to a bigger size but to me It is not much if any better than my 2017 X900E mid tier model Sony I upgraded from. I have had good luck with Sony and no issues from my 2017 model. This model has had an issue. I picked this TV up in the beginning of December but did not end up opening it and hanging it until the beginning of February. Just since then I have had the TV turn on to a blank dark grey screen 4 different times. No apps or anything just a blank screen. I have to move my console table away from the wall to get to the surge protector to unplug the tv which is a pain. I wait and plug it back in and it will return to normal. For this to be their top of the line LED I find this unacceptable and an annoyance. To have already happened 4 times in 2 months I am a little concerned. I hope this is somehow resolved with a future software update. Apps - Netflix is the only thing that consistently loads every time in a short time. All others seem to have occasional issues or are slow to load. Sometimes HBOMax will say experiencing technical issues or something along those lines but if I go downstairs and use my Roku HBOMax will load with no issues. Not sure what is going on there. I have not had it long enough for a long term review but if the blank screen issue is resolved and it is as reliable as my other Sony then I think I will still be happy with my purchase.

Has a good picture and no burn in. Got CNN burn on my old OLED TV. Colors on the new Sony TV are great.

EPIC! Incredible audio & awesome visual picture. Just a great tv. The audio has fooled both me & my dog. It was easy to set up. I highly recommend this product

Very Impressed with this TV. Just Wow!! Was going back and forth between this tv and the OLED A80J and the brightness of this tv won me over and the right decision for my room which has a lot of windows. 4K HDR picture is beautiful and all though colors are not as deep as the Sony OLED, they are still GREAT and very impressive! Sports in SDR is really good too. Plus the fact that I got it for $700 off, it was a no brainer! Highly Recommended!!

GREAT TV COLORS ARE VERY NATURAL ,love it any sony premium tv gona be great value
