Amazing tv! The quality for the price was unbeatable. I would recommend buying a cover for the screen as my son just broke it so we are looking to replace it with something similar quality we had never had a nicer tv than this one. Great for playing call of duty, movies even has a great speaker system,

This tv was a replacement purchase for the Samsung that I had purchased less than a year before that decided to stop working right before the holidays. Best Buy was great with the Geek Squad insurance coverage which helped with this purchase. Had the tv now for over a year and it has been great!

This Sony TV beats some other TV's I have owned in several ways. Darker blacks, more vibrant color and better spec's. I did find that the setup for the Sony TV was more sophisticated, for example the automatic sound balance procedure. But in general I found the Sony setup process really smooth and more comprehensive than others. In addition I have to say that the remote is more functional and easier to hold. One key reason I chose this model TV is that it does have a faster refresh rate and higher motion capabilities i.e. Motionflow XR 960. A not so apparent point is that this set has the connections coming in from the side (other than power). Some brands put the HDMI and other connectors right where they will interfere with a wall mount (which I prefer). So I do recommend this set.

Excellent picture and Sony quality. This television sound was good but I added the sound bar and sub for performance.

Had this for two years now. Picture is okay, but certainly not the best. The I/O board (HDMI, Ethernet, etc...) has been a huge issue since almost the beginning, causing me to reboot, reset, or unplug. The Google operating system is aweful and extremely sluggish, sometimes freezing entirely. I'll finally be ordering a new main/IO board at some point and will see how it goes. Pretty dissapointed with Sony. Over the years I have had many Sony products with defective components, cold solder joints and other issues. The majority I successfully repaired, but their quality control needs a bit of help. Although I am retired and haven't done it in years, I repaired electronics for decades and Sony was the most common television I came across. I bought it on false hopes because of so many positive reviews at the time. They aren't so positive now.

Purchased to replace a 4 year old 65 inch LG 4K TV, this set has considerably more brightness available and upscales 480 and 1080 programs much better. Haven't had to mess with calibration much, it was pretty good right out of the box. I don't use games so I can't speak to that aspect. For 4K HDR programming, it does an excellent job. I use a dedicated AVR / speakers for audio, I tried the internal speakers and they were adequate. The Android TV menu system works well, the remote is ok too. I use a Harmony hub and Alexa to control everything and it works fine with this set. Overall, I very pleased with this Sony TV and would recommend it. Though some OLED TV's might have better contrast, this TV works better for a brighter room, I still have a 12 year old Panasonic plasma and this beats the picture quality hands down!

Sony makes excellent 75" displays with great picture quality.

I used to live alone so I didn't watch much TV in my living room. I recently got a roommate with similar entertainment preferences to mine, so we started watching quite a few TV series together. I had an excellent 55" TCL TV with a great picture and sound. wanted to upgrade to a larger TV as a Christmas present to myself, so I spent several hours over a 2 week period researching online. I made myself a chart comparing specs, prices, and availability, then headed to my nearest Best Buy with it in hand. I was was pretty sure I was going to buy either a Sony 75" X85J or a 65" X90J, which are both the same price. According to my research, the 2 series were very similar, with the edge going slightly to the X90J. That being said, some of the specs that were important to me tilted to the X85J. Best Buy had a lot of different brands and models on display, so I spent some time looking at some of the models that I had ruled out on paper. After viewing several models, I agreed with my research that the Sony TVs had the best picture and specs for the money I was intending to spend. One of the displays they had was exactly what I needed to see, a 55" over a 65", right next to a 75". Seeing the 55" over the 65" quickly convinced me that there wasn't enough size difference to justify spending the money for my upgrade, so I was leaning heavily toward the bigger screen. The sales rep that helped me had been with Best Buy for a couple of years and was very knowledgeable. He pointed out the differences between the 2 models, then discussed my needs. He agreed with me that the 75" was going to make me happier. The next challenge was whether or not it was going to fit in my SUV. He borrowed a tape measure for me and we measured the box. I went out to the car and measured, determining that the width would work getting it in, but I was about 8 inches short getting it in lengthwise with the front seats as far up as I could get them and still drive. I remeasured at an angle and estimated that if I took the headrests off we could rest it on the back of top of the seats. I went back inside with a big smile and said "Let's do this." I bought the 75", we opened it to make sure the screen wasn't cracked, and plugged it in and fired it up to make sure I didn't lose the "panel lottery." Everything checked out, so I went to get the car while he brought the TV to the front door. It took a lot of maneuvering, and I think he said 3 times "It's nit gonna fit," but sure enough, we got it in safely. Once I got it home my roommate and I had it unboxed and up on the wall in about 1 minutes. Setup was a breeze, and the picture looks fabulous in my living room! Just a reminder, TVs look a whole lot bigger in your house than they do in a massive warehouse sized building with high ceilings. Make sure you measure where your new TV will go before you buy it!

If you are going to spend extra on a TV, the picture and motion on this is top notch!

I recently purchased the Sony 75" Class X85J Series LED 4K UHD Smart Google TV. It was quite easy to get everything set up for watching. Instructions were fairly easy to follow right there on the screen. I am really pleased with the functions and picture quality of this TV. We enjoy watching Netflix, Apple, etc, and find it wonderfully easy to access and enjoy many programs. Access is easy and the picture quality is excellent. I also enjoy the sound and volume range on this TV, It is exceptional. Perfect balance of treble and bass. I am confident that I will enjoy this product for many years to come.

Great picture for the price. No complaints. You can’t go wrong with a Sony. I’ve had this installed in my garage for two years, which isn’t climate controlled. That should speak to its durability.

TV was mounted in my room, the display is amazing, we could see all details perfectly a d sound quality is great, no need for an extra speaker in the room.

I got what I expected! It’s been a year now and I do not have any complaints. Great compatibility with the xbox consoles as well. Nice to see movies and play games. Nice deal with huge size

Great TV. Love the picture quality. 4K content looks really nice. Don't like the fact that it powers on by itself even when all the settings are done to prevent this. This is driving my wife nuts.

Bought this for the oled screen and 120hz refresh Rate to game on. Have used my Xbox series x and pc on it and both look amazing on this screen. Tv also has all the new streaming apps you can think of and connects to google home easy so you can use voice control on google nest devices. Tv remote also has mic to use voice controls very easy and convenient. Have several tvs in my house but this one is by far the best looking, performing and sounding, which I forgot to mention this tv has serious bass no need for a sound bar also gets very loud and remains clear even at full volume.

Having such a large television to watch in my bedroom is perfect, and when I play games on my PS5 you won't believe how you become emersed in games

Having scaled-up from a 32" 17-yearold CRT TV that finally failed, I am very pleased with the performance of this 75" 4K UHD Sony flatscreen TV. The picture is stunning. The built-in speakers are quite good, even though the sound has much less impact than a movie theater experience. Set-up was a bit frustrating, because initially there was no sound or picture when the input was from cable. I went through set-up again thinking a mistake had been made, but that didn't solve the problem. I went through the numerous trouble-shooting steps that Sony gives in its reference manual, and that didn't solve the problem. Finally, I called the cable provider service number, which does an automatic cable box reset followed by an automatic reboot. That solved the problem! If I were to make recommendations for improvement, it would be first to add a cable box reset and/or reboot to Sony's trouble-shooting list in its reference manual. It would also be useful to have analog audio output in addition to optical, for those who have older audio systems. A problem that was noticed once or twice is something of a tear-drop image of small items displayed on screen when the items move very fast. But this was only observed for a few seconds in some 50 hours of viewing. A second problem was reaching Sony Customer Service when I had the no-sound-no-picture problem. The phone number that Sony provides said it was no longer operable when called. The first phone number provided an alternate number to call. But the second number gave a message that it was currently not working. I never called back to see if this was a temporary disruption. None the less, I found the TV itself to be very impressive.

I just purchased this television and am extremely pleased with the purchase so far. My previous television was an LG, which was great, but this Sony is an upgrade from the LG. I have found the Sony television directory of apps is easier to access as well as linking external speakers. The picture quality is superior to the LG, but that could just be the upgrade of refresh speed (60hz vs 120hz). The only negative with regard to this television is Google. I am just not a fan of Google and their practices. I recommend this television to consumers.

Bought an LG 2 years ago because my last Sony stopped working after 3 years. So I figured I'd save a few hundred dollars with a different well known brand. After 2 years the LG developed a blue blotch and that's all I was able to see. So I decided to go back to Sony and I'm so glad I did. Android TV is amazing. It's super fast and everything is easy to get to. The picture quality of the TV is great. The black levels actually look black instead of a dark gray.

We bought this as a gift for our son. It really popped on the screen and we felt we may have lost him from coming over Sunday to watch the games on our 10-year old 70" TV. So, we decided to buy ourselves one in the 85" size from Sony to keep him interested. It really provides a beautiful picture with lots of speed for the refresh rate in watching sports. My son says he can see the expressions on the faces of the fans in the stands while they watch the game with him!
