The price was a little bit more, but the picture quality is amazing in comparison to the Samsung. The Samsung had lighting issue which i was told by Best Buy that its just how the tv is made. No lighting issues here. Very vibrant and very clear, especially for the price. The built in google tv is awesome, especially if you are using YouTube TV with it. Highly recommend this TV!

The picture is fantastic. We have windows directly behind our couch and there is no issue with seeing the tv when it is bright in the room. I love the apps and the TV is very easy to use. I guess my only complaint would be that the TV always starts on a Home Screen and you have to select the cable box. Not really a big deal.

Depending on the TV settings, the Home screen will be displayed when the TV is turned on. If you change the following setting, you can change the screen that is displayed when the TV is turned on to the TV broadcast channel or external HDMI input such as your cable box or other HDMI devices that you were watching before turning off the TV.
1. Press the Setting (Gear icon) button on the remote control.
2. Select [Power on behavior], and then select [Last input].
Note:
The next time the TV is turned on, the TV broadcast channel or external input such as HDMI that you were watching before turning off the TV will be displayed.

Good picture, a few weird things that stop me from giving it a 5. Randomly, the tv will turn on or be on when no one is in the room. I use sling instead of cable for all my tvs, this tv during the last minute of any episode pauses for a second and almost buffers, then goes back to normal. This is on all channels . I use a sound bar so not sure about how it actually sounds.

Great as long as you don’t download apps

However I had to replace the motherboard on this tv once due putting apps on the tv itself. What’s the point in having a smart tv if you have to use a separate device like a Roku or Apple TV box to store your apps. We’ve removed all apps from our tv and it works fine now.

Yes they had the perfect picture showing when we saw the tv in person and it gave the illusion of 3-D effect, but we already knew it wasn’t going to be that way when we got it home. Color is perfect, the menus are a bit confusing, but that’s to be expected with new electronics. Only negative, is that they didn’t have it in stock so we had to wait for them to deliver it. But it seems Best Buy don’t have a it in the stores except for display items

The picture quality is phenomenal. I am a bit of a a/v snob and I was skeptical that this would meet my demands but we were on a budget. The only feature I wish it had (that would improve picture quality further) is local dimming. Im honestly not convinced that this would have have a huge difference but I can tell the difference. Overall, this was a great purchase. The perfect balance of quality, performance and budget.
