The panel has severe backlight bleed on all four corners.
Anytime the screen is black, or the image is dark, there is an extremely noticeable white blur and light coming from each corner. It’s become worse over time and I’ve only had it for a few months.

Hi Justen,
Thank you for choosing and purchasing our Sony X800H BRAVIA Smart TV.
We appreciate your time sharing your reviews. We regret to hear that you're having a display issue with your Bravia TV. We value your input and appreciate the feedback. We would like to discuss this further to assist you.
The LCD screen is made with high-precision technology to achieve a high level of performance and picture quality. To achieve this level of performance, the backlight setting of the TV is set to maximize the screen brightness. However, you may notice uneven brightness on the TV when watching in a dark environment or when the screen is blank. This condition is normal and not a malfunction of the TV.
If it bothers you, there are few adjustments that you can do to minimize this condition. Please refer to the link below for more information.

Bought the Sony TV (12/4/20) to give another brand a try because my Samsung began to have issues after 10 months from the date of purchase. The color on the Sony does not compare to Samsung in my opinion and also later told by someone in the store. It would be as if you are using the Cinema/Movie option. The color isnt rich all around and to add to it, it looks like the picture is sort of smoky looking when watching certain movies (no clear HD feel to it).
The WI-FI connection is horrible, I have Xfinity and the TV is no more than 15ft from the modem. I have to constantly reconnect to the server at least 3 to 5 times a day because it either looses connection or after we link a phone to the TV (air play). The picture quality distorts when switching from one stream service to another or for no reason throughout the day (takes a minute to clear up). I have since went to Best Buy to have the Sony replaced for another Samsung TV and will receive it right before X-mas.
I've learned you can't go off of the preset programs displayed on the TV's in store and expect the same experience at home.
The whole experience from returning the Samsung to being convinced the Sony was a better option to having to pay additional installation fee to have the Sony replaced has been a long drawn out experience to say the least.

Picture is good in a bright room. The unit I received had terrible backlight bleed in the top and bottom left hand corners that washed out the image. The motion on this tv was jittery when watching sports. I ended up returning this for a 65” 950h. It’s worlds different. Buttery smooth motion and zero backlight bleed. Colors pop more and blacks are blacker.

When it became inevitable that I had to work from home and we are all quarantined for the foreseeable future. I decided to do my home work on a new TV. Although I wanted to get and 86 inch, I realized my stand and room itself would probably be overwhelmed by the addition, I settled on the Sony - 75" Class - LED - XBR X800H Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR, it was on sale and available at my Rochester NY location and had 3 in stock and was able to go pick up (curbside). Thank goodness because everyone must have had the same idea as there are none left with exception of being shipped to you.. Any way, this is a relatively new set (Feb 2020 was released) and there was not a ton of reviews on this, but was pleased with the unboxing and the general set up as I was plug and play ready... and having had recent 65 inch Sony I was replacing. I am all set up for Dolby ATMOS and now with this TV, Dolby VISION, so I am very excited with this capacity for picture size, Dolby vison and streaming and Physical media to be used to their full intent. I suffice to say I am very happy and satisfied... Although the one con is the manual is very basic in nature, so if you are a novice in general or a newbie to Sony you may fine navigating through screens and optimizing your settings may be a challenge...but will be worth it when you do customize it to your liking... One piece of advice to anyone that is in my situation..... you have to active you HDMI sources to enhanced, they come as standard so if you want 4k and dolby vision, this must be change or regardless of what you stream whether through XBOX , ROKU, APPLE,whatever...won't have the best picture you can possibly get.. Case in point, MY XBOX would not verify dolby vision content through Disney+, Netflix or VUDU and until I switched my HDMI source through TV to enhanced will not have true Dolby vision through any of these sources.. As a side note I now have Dolby vision and ATMOS running fine into TV and receiver and XBOX X, Netflix and VUDU with one exception...Disney PLUS+. you can get DolbyVision just not Atmos at this time...so don't go crazy, it is not you, your TV or media player , it is a Disney plus limitation that only is on some providers Like apple 4 k and maybe Roku, so just beware so you don't make yourself crazy.. Other than that Great TV picture , lots of options to help customize and integrate with your system and priced now to be able to have your cake and eat it too... oh yeah.. need to have a stand at least 58 inches wide and at least 18 inches deep or this won't fit... another reason I didn't go with and 86 inch... Feel free to ask any questions as this is a new product and barely reviewed, but highly recommended at this point! Happy viewing!!

We love this TV!! We purchased it for our den which is a wide room. Even at a distance the picture is super clear and the color is great.
We previously only bought LG TV's but the salesman told us he had the Sony TV and he thought it would be much better than the LG. We are totally impressed and glad we went with the Sony.
The set up was super easy. We love all the features and were able to connect our DISH remote no problem.
The only issue we had was that we had to wait almost 3 weeks for delivery. It was worth the wait !

We replaced our great 65" Sony HD TV with this new one, not because of any issues with the 6-year old TV, but because our TV serves as our sole source of entertainment. We love the 75" TV because of the video quality which is unsurpassed and the sound quality. We love all the features of this TV and we now have an in-home movie theater. I can't go into all the technical aspects of this TV because I'm not qualified to do so, but if you want high quality video and sound, this is the TV for you. We love the fact that it is an Android TV which opens up a whole new avenue of opportunity for the user. We live in a small home and thought it might be too large of a screen for our home, but it is not. We sit approximately 12 feet from the screen. Another factor that we love is that the Dolby Atmos sound is easily set up using our Nakamichi sound bar with woofer and rear speakers. It was so easy to integrate our existing sound system with this TV's menu settings. You will love this TV with its Ultra 4K video streaming ability. We cannot say any good about this TV. It is a bargain at the price that we got it for at BestBuy. We had the Geek Squad set it up for us, because it is too heavy for us as we are senior adults. This TV is awesome and we highly recommend it.

I purchased this television as an exchange for another brand that broke after a few weeks. (I won't say the name here, but it would seem they make much better phones than TVs...)
Even though this TV was on sale, it still cost about $150 more than the previous brand and more than my budget was going to allow. However, the extra money was WELL worth it!
As soon as I opened the box, I could tell the level of care and quality was far superior. Unlike the other brand, the packaging was designed to fully protect a unit of this size. Fully unboxing the unit, I could see the far superior difference in construction. The bezel seemed more solid, and the feet were solid metal and very sturdy. (I don't use them though because I wall mounted the TV)
When I first turned on the TV, I could already see the difference in picture. The colors and contrast ratio were so much deeper than the unit I took back. It looked (and still looks) AMAZING! And the first time set up wizard was super easy to use. It actually automatically named the HDMI port when I connected my Roku.
The only cons I could really give this TV is the interface is not as pretty or intuitive as the other unit I took back. Also, the remote that comes with the TV is HUGE! But these are very minor quibbles. I only add them to round out this otherwise glowing review.
Finally, and this is just more a really cool feature for me, is the ability to turn off the picture. If I use the TV to play music, it allows me to turn off just the picture, saving valuable LED wear time. Very cool!
So, would I recommend this TV? Oh yeah! Well worth the extra money!

I initially went online to look for an LG to replace a Vizio that just wasn't working out. Between the time I started looking and before I added the LG to my cart I saw this television. I was especially interested because it was a 2020 model for a price not much more than the LG. So, on impulse, I went with this. I am not sorry. The picture is deeper and richer than the Vizio (which was not old) this one replaced. It has every bell and whistle you could possibly want. Adding or removing apps is a cinch, and menu navigation is effortless. Set up took minutes, and I was almost sad when it was over because that itself was a pleasant experience. I would recommend this to anyone who can't (like me) step up a tier to an OLED television. Switching between inputs is extremely fast, as is switching and starting streaming services. I am old enough to remember when television was "furniture" and the look of the cabinetry was a critical factor. All televisions look the same these days, but this has more inside than I ever anticipated. Even the sound is adequate, but I'm running a Nakamichi Atmos sound bar and this handles it beautifully. (I had to talk to Nakamichi tech support for problems with the Vizio TV and the tech I dealt with there was very high on the Sony products, which probably helped my decision.)

It has a well built menus with apps ranging from all popular streaming services as well as the ability to chrome cast and AirPlay! Setup was very easy, it’s colors are absolutely amazing and the built in speakers are also very good quality. I love that the placement of inputs behind the tv are horizontal so no wire pole the wall behind (I have it mounted). Overall 5 stars from me, easy to setup, amazing quality display and packed with features.

It has been 5 months since purchasing this TV, and I love everything about this TV. The ease of using the remote and down to the picture quality of the TV. As for the sound I can not say about it as I use Sony home audio system with it. The best part is everything works seamlessly together, example press the power button on the remote will turn on my audio system, and the my cable box, and I can even control the volume of the audio system, and the flipping channels on the cable box as well.

We don't watch much TV anymore, but when we do we like to have as much quality in the onscreen experience as we can get. The image quality of this XBR X800H is jaw dropping stunning. While setting it up, I brought up some 4K and 8K YT demos and was mesmerized by the image quality. We literally watched those for an hour before even turning on any TV programming. The onboard wireless Ethernet signal is 2.5/5ghz and and provides excellent wireless video streaming reception. Setup is painless, simple, and logical. This unit is loaded with more features than you can imagine. Getting the 75" screen also will give you an upgraded picture quality/screen image from the same Sony product line with screens smaller than 75". Play around with the "auto" light feature to get the brightest picture. Once you do that this unit will not disappoint. The 75" screen is HUGE. You will need a TV base/pedestal AT LEAST 54" wide and 20" deep. Know THAT before you get this unit to save yourself a lot of headache. Get the TV pedestal furniture or the VESA wall mount (rated for at least 90 lbs.) BEFORE you get this. BB frowns on laying TVs this large flat when transporting from store to home, so I let them haul it to my house (for free). BB had to order it (not in store) and had it to my house in 3 days, and that was during the BF sales, plus all the other confusion going on in the world right now. Once you figure out the picture brightness of this XBR X800H you will be in TV heaven. You can completely disable/OPT-OUT from the Google app features (which are very feature rich) COMPLETELY if you don't want them, which was another requirement for me. The remote can be voice controlled, but requires GooglePlay. Got it on sale for $500 off. It will last for ten years. Sony reputation, build, and quality. The sound quality is very acceptable. I have it attached via HDMI ARC to an Onkyo 7.1 audio system with 7 speakers and the realistic surround sound is an audio fest. Sony really got it right on this one. A solid long-term investment.
