Better Options out There

The worse part of this tv is the android tv - the only app I can get to work with audio is Netflix, everything else comes up silent.

While we're glad you like the picture quality, we’re sorry to hear you are experiencing audio issues with your Sony Bravia TV. We value ypur input and appreciate the feedback. Please allow us to help you and turn this into a better experience. Some of these issues can be fixed by simply restarting the TV. To do that, simply press the power button for about 5-10 secs while the TV is on. You can isolate this issue by following the troubleshooting steps below.
1. If the issue persists after the TV has restarted, perform a power reset and disconnect peripherals from the TV.
In additional to restarting your TV, please make sure it was done by power cycling the TV by unplugging it for 60 seconds and re-plugging it back in.
2. If you are using a soundbar, make sure the sound output is set to Audio system and not TV speakers
- Press the (Quick Settings) or ACTION MENU button, then select [Speakers] — [Audio system].
- Press the HOME button, then select [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — [Audio output] — [Speakers] — [Audio system].
3. If the audio system is not compatible with Dolby Digital or DTS, set [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — [Audio output] — [Digital audio out] to [PCM].
4. Check if the [Digital audio out volume] setting of the TV is at maximum.
Press the HOME button, then select: [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — [Audio output] — [Digital audio out volume]

Did not fit my application

Moving the mount was a big effort and was just easier to replace a Samsung with a Samsung because the mounting holes were in the exact same position.

TV is Bricked

Not so impressive with my new $3k+ tv

We'd like to know the source or device that you are watching to isolate the issue. For high resolution HDR pictures, the following are required to watch high resolution HDR pictures such as 4k(50p/60p):
Connect the 4K (50p/60p) playable device.
Use a Premium High Speed HDMI Cable(s) that supports 18 Gbps.
Set [HDMI signal format] to [Enhanced format] by selecting [Settings] — [Watching TV] — [External inputs] — [HDMI signal format] — the HDMI terminal you want to set.
Check whether the connected device has the latest settings or firmware.
You can also configure various settings related to the TV display as color, contrast, clarity, motion settings, and brightness for picture quality, or screen size that can improve the viewed content on your Android TV. Amazing picture and sound

Not overly impressed

We understand that some consumers don't have the same type of environment at home so you can change some settings while in the Dolby Vision mode and see if the symptom improves.
If the the pictures are dark or washed out when on Dolby Vision mode, you can configure various settings related to the TV display such as color and brightness for picture quality, or screen size. Set your TV to Dolby Vision Bright.
1. On the supplied remote, press the Settings button.
2. Under Picture mode, select Dolby Vision Bright.

Can't mirror laptop
