    I have had this TV for six months and the display now goes out randomly only with backlight and sound remaining. Sony support has been zero help. I would not recommend this product.

The software update improves the performance of the TV and includes key features, applications, bug fixes.

      On some screens, sports and fast action scenes go by in a blur or motion lag. Our Motionflow XR refresh rate technology keeps movement smooth and clear, allowing fast moving action sequences in sports and movies to be seen with lifelike clarity which results in less motion blur and afterimage, more flowing motion. In addition to setting various settings related to the TV display such as noise reduction, motionflow, and cinemotion settings for picture quality to smooth out any content, picture quality also depends on the signal and content. You can also select the appropriate picture mode for your Android TV according to the content you are watching such as movies or sports to enhance your viewing experience.

      We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing some audio issues. This is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have in our product. We would like to know more about the issue that you are having with the TV. Please allow us to help you and turn this into a better experience.

      There are a couple things to try to fix the issue.

      In additional to restarting your TV, please make sure it was done by power cycling the TV by unplugging it for 60 seconds and re-plugging it back it in. Also check that your TV is running the latest firmware.

      1. If you are using the TV built-in speaker, make sure the sound output is set to TV speakers and not Audio system
      Press the (Quick Settings) or ACTION MENU button, then select [Speakers] — [TV speakers].
      Press the HOME button, then select [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — [Audio output] — [Speakers] — [TV speakers].
      2. Check the volume control.
      3. Press MUTING or MUTE or VOL or (Volume) + button to cancel muting.
      4. If headphones or Bluetooth audio devices are connected, sound is not output from the TV speakers or audio system connected via eARC/ARC. Remove the headphones or disconnect the Bluetooth audio device.

      Does the black line appear on all inputs? Power reset the TV, simply unplug the unit and wait 1-2 minutes then plug the device back in and power on and check it again. Press the HOME button again to display the menu screen. If no lines are visible on the menu screen after power reset, other external sources (such as cable or satellite box, internet video device, or other devices like a DVD player) or cable connections could be the cause of the issue. Check the link below then try following the steps to resolve the issue.
