Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TL;DR: Sony support is excellent, but they have to be, with this many dead pixels across multiple units. --- Bought a new house, and had enough left over to buy a new TV! We were super excited to get this, and it was... disappointing. I love Android TV, and it's certainly responsive enough on this model. It's a nice-looking unit too. On top of that, the picture is superb. We thought we'd gotten a great deal on a great TV. Better yet, Sony support has been an absolute joy to work with! That said, I'd rather have a product that doesn't require such outstanding support, especially on day one. Settle in for story time. After having just moved in, the TV arrives on our doorstep. This thing is heavy. It's like 98% raw, condensed gravity and 2% TV bits. Seriously, it's something on the order of a hundred pounds or 45 kg, and it's not a compact little thing, it's big and unwieldy, so those hundred pounds are not about to be tamed. We very carefully unboxed the TV, found a way to dance nimbly around all the unopened boxes, put it on the stand, and turned it on. We stepped through the 47 pages of acceptances and waivers. I'm pretty sure I saw something about a firstborn son in there, but luckily we have a daughter. We found something to watch and just stared at it. Delight. Amazement. Beauty. We nearly cried because we could sit down and watch TV after moving. Then I noticed a line of dead pixels right in the center of the screen, about an inch or two long, 2.5 to 5 cm. Only really noticeable on bright backgrounds, but once I'd seen it, I could never unsee it. I called Sony support, and they were stellar. Our representative, Niko, has bent over backwards to help make this right. Truly, they have been the best part of this purchase, but that's not really how things should be. Right up front, I'll say they only offer a replacement or a full buyback - there is no partial refund option. Most replacements are a do-it-yourself effort, so make sure you have your chiropractor on speed dial. Niko had a replacement TV shipped out in about 10 days. My wife and I took the original hundred pounds of TV down, unpacked the hundred pounds of replacement TV, set it on the stand, and plugged it in. I had to step through the same 47 pages of accepting this and that and signing away my life, but I finally got it set up again. First thing on the list was to find an all-white screen, which was readily available on YouTube. Fired that up and... this replacement TV is worse than the original for dead pixels. We took this hundred pounds of TV down, lugged the old hundred pounds around, and - did I mention how big these things are? In order to find room to put the stand on it, we had to first find a place to set the first one down, and it's not the sturdiest of things to begin with. Also, I don't want to be blamed for making it worse than it was already, so it's no mean feat to juggle my own weight in TVs when I only have room for one. Anyway, we got the replacement boxed back up, and called Sony again. Again, Niko was fantastic. He spoke with his manager, and this time they authorized a white-glove replacement so my wife and I wouldn't have to play weightlifter again. The delivery company dropped the ball on this one a few times, but eventually, two gentlemen showed up to do the swap. On their way into the house, they mentioned that they pick up more Sony TVs for return than any other brand. This does not bode well. They juggle my weight in TVs again, and the thing is up on the stand. White screen from YouTube, and I start looking again. I found something that looked like a dead pixel, but it was just dust. I brushed it off, sighed in relief, and kept going, feeling more and more confident. This was misguided. I wound up finding a cluster of dead pixels after all, and asked the patient fellows who set it up to rebox it and take it away again. Sony support has been an absolute joy to work with, but I'd rather have a product that doesn't require such outstanding support. I've kept the original TV for now, and I'm going to be pursuing a full refund in order to buy a non-Sony TV.

High-precision technology is used to manufacture LCD and OLED displays to maintain a high standard of operation. However, with all LCD/OLED screens, regardless of manufacturer, there may be a small number of dots that do not change color. This is normal operation for LCD and OLED screens for all manufacturers. Most defects are only noticeable when an all-white or all-black picture is displayed and shouldn't be noticeable under normal operation. Sometimes dead or defective pixels correct themselves over time.

Not an OLED like I wanted but a nice filler tv for the time being. I am in process of upgrading sound for the Dolby Atmos. Haven't manipulated the colors but did notice the reds are a bit off. Should be a simple fix in the settings.

The remote takes a bit getting used to (I moved from a Samsung) but is very good. The feet on the TV seem a bit flimsy for a TV this size but it hasn't tipped over yet so all good. The placement of the ports is good.

The sound from the speakers is really great compared to my other television though it’s bigger. It’s very easy to mount on the wall. No buffering with my WiFi which is a plus. I bought a Samsung QLED 60 75" and wasn't happy with the picture quality or sound. It was worse than my 4 years old 65 inch Samsung. Sony 800H 75" just went on sale and after talking with Best Buy and reading reviews, I decided to buy the SONY 800 h. What a DIFFERENCE in SOUND and PICTURE quality? It had enhanced dialog and ATOMS, is this for reall???? YES!!! I give Best Buy a 10 if I could especially with the people I talked to unbelieve help... I don't see how anyone could buy a TV or other electronics from anywhere else. PEOPLE COUNT!

I was looking for a great picture quality and I never knew how good it would be! This T.V. has the Most Beautiful Color I’ve ever seen! It really brings the “Wow” to anything you choose to watch. 2 minor problems but worth it for the price

I love the android os and I also love that I can have my streaming programs right under input. It is very easy to set up. The only problems I have had is that occasionally sound stops working. I blamed my surround sound, but it is like the TV randomly (maybe every two weeks) needs a reboot. I just pull the plug and give it a few seconds, but I am told you can do this with the remote too. It is not a big enough deal for me to send it back or have someone over to look at it. The next problem is sometimes the remote doesn't want to turn the TV on, sometimes I have to use voice to do it but usually after 5 presses it works and other than a slight annoyance it isn't a big deal. Those are the only two minor problems, and I would still buy the TV again. The price is great and the picture is great.

We’re sorry that your experience has been subpar with occasional sound issues and remote control not working when pressing the power button to turn on. We’d love to help you troubleshoot your problem. In additional to resetting your TV, please make sure it was done by power cycling the TV by unplugging it for 60 seconds and re-plugging it back it in. We also recommend updating the software of the TV. A firmware update improves the functionality and features of your unit. It can provide fixes to any performance issues that may occur.

If a specific audio system is connected with an HDMI cable, please follow the steps provided on the link below to isolate and fix the issue.
1. Verify whether the TV has an ARC label on one of its HDMI ports
- If the TV has an ARC (Audio Return Channel) label on one of its HDMI ports, connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on the TV and the other end to the HDMI OUT (ARC) on the Soundbar.
2. Reconnect the cables and verify the audio output
- Disconnect the cables between the TV and the home theater system or home audio system, and then securely reconnect them.
3. Verify that the Audio Output setting in the TV menu is set to Audio System.
- Press the (Quick Settings) or ACTION MENU button, then select [Speakers] — [Audio system].
- Press the HOME button, then select [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — [Audio output] — [Speakers] — [Audio system].
4. Turn off the devices
- Turn off the unit and wait for a minute, then turn on the unit again.
- If the issue still occurs, turn off the TV and wait for a minute, then turn on the TV again.
