It looks very good on most scenes the brightness is needed to see hdr like it is intended which that looks amazing! Am surprised that cable tv looks very good on this tv! But I have a window in the room where this tv is and it completely washes out the picture! SO curtains are a must if you watch dark scenes with natural like near by

So the first night I got this I thought it was great. Playing some movies on my 4k blu ray player, it made some movies look awesome. However, there were other movies where I really had to keep adjusting the picture to get it to look better. Cable isn't unwatchable, but it certainly isn't as crisp as it is on my Samsung Q90R. I understand that it is inventing 99% of the picture, so obviously images are going to be softer, and fuzzier. I think there is a Dolby Vision problem, maybe because it is source led and not display led. Some movies on Disney Plus were just so dim and muted in color. On my 4k blu ray player, I had to change the live color to high to get it to be more colorful. Other movies I had to keep at medium or turn too low. There was no great difference between Dolby Vision bright and dark. The PS5 looked great connected to it. I don't like how you have to choose either 8k or dolby vision. The other thing is I don't think, despite Sony's over year of claims, that there will be VRR or ALLM features, I don't know if that's a game breaker or not, but the picture quality was pretty amazing for PS5. In the end I felt like I had to make picture adjustments for every movie I watched either blu ray or streaming. I think it was just too much for me to do when I want to watch a movie right out of the box and do nothing with picture settings. I just feel like at this price point, it isn't worth it. I really wanted to love this TV. I think the capability is there waiting to be unlocked, just isn't the right time yet.

The most awesome picture, the upscaling to 8k is just outstanding , making details visible that even an OLED 4K tv can’t produce , the upscaling even makes 720p looks good. Sony makes the most natural colors where other brands lean more to the garish side of the spectrum . One of the great pluses Is the ability to sit as close as one desires to the screen because of the seamless clarity of 8k .The sound quality is also very good since the sound seem to emanate from the entire screen , with movies one would still use a surround system of course but for talk shows the tv speakers are great. It’s obviously a pricier tv but for those seeking the highest quality picture it’s well worth the extra cost . Couldn’t be happier with this tv

Awesome TV. Fast! Picture quality is incredible, blacks very close to oled (ok not quite when you have them side by side) but still I don’t miss my OLED tv. HEAVY!!

This is one of the better TVs you can get especially if you are lucky to get an open box one in good shape. The picture quality is spectacular and it 8K is added icing on the cake. I am so glad i went with sony as i initially went with the LG Oled G1 but i just could not tolerate the White levels and the brightless levels.

Amazing! As i opened the box to slowly start finding the information booklets, the really cool iluminated remote; which I had seen in a review and thought it was so cool. The feet or stands were wrapped well and felt heavy. after getting everything out of the box i started putting it together. Everything went together as it should and i plugged in my SONY 800M2 4K UHD player and power cord. I powerd on the tv and it was beautiful. The set was very easy and the picture was amazing. The sound is fantastic and the auto calibration for the sound took about 5 seconds. I first started streaming 4k and then watched a 4k disc. After watching 4k and checking the settings i went to youtube and searched ik videos. I watched several which were all nature videos put to see the detail in this and try to explain it is hard. I found myslf getting closer to the tv to try to pick out flaws. I stood right in front it looking at the detail in the hair of some animals while looking at the texture of the nose on a lepard. The colr on the skin of frogs and lizards. The space between the scales of a shake. I csnt wait for more 8k content to come out.

Gorgeous picture and excellent internal speakers on this tv. Intuitive, functional remote control. Felt comfortable navigating the tv menus as soon as I fired it up. Hopefully there will be an update to add 8K content.

Love my new television. Love the vivid colors. Very easy tv to operate. The few people I have over remark about the fantastic colors in 4K. We also love sports in 4K since we are at home. I also bought movies at Best Buy in 4K ultra high definition which look fabulous. Love everything about the new 75 inch television.

I do watch movies and play games on the TV and the upscaling is extremely nice and the Full Array LED aspect is really impressive. All my other tvs are OLED and I have to admit this is a major improvement over my A900E LED which didn't have the full array LEDs.
My big reasoning for the 8K though is for editing photos. Anyone who does so knows that even 4K on these large size tvs looks grainy. With the 8k that problem is resolved, the curves are perfectly rounded now, no more blocky edges, its as you would expect for having 4x the resolution. Being able to preview something close to scale size wise like a 40x60 print and have good resolution you will get like when you print it is awesome to fine tune the sharpening aspect of photos.
Overall Sony did an excellent job yet again!

This is absolutely the best tv I've ever bought! I've owned several top of the line Sony tvs in the past, also Panasonic's top plasma, none compare to this tv! The colors and brightness POP off the screen especially with HDR source material, it even makes old dvd's look phenomenal! The sound system in this tv also above average. Was torn between Sony's 77" Master Series OLED and this tv, I'm beyond happy I chose this one!! The only thing better would have been this tv in the 85" version!! Buy this tv now you won't be disappointed!!

The television is great! My Samsung 9000 curved stopped working after 5 years. So I hope this Sony lasts longer. Long story short the Home Screen with all the apps google Crome is wonderful! Very user friendly and beautiful picture especially with the Xbox series X!
Yes my Samsung was a little brighter but I believe the picture is better with this Sony.
Lots of people told me to buy Samsung which I do very much enjoy. But I believe Sony has the better television now.

Not all its hyped up to be so where do i start? I've had this TV for little over a year now and I'm actually gonna sell it as soon as my new TV gets the LG G2. So this TV does have a great picture but the biggest issue with it that makes it al most unwatchable for me is the crazy amount of blooming from the back light and i understand that it comes with the territory with Lcd's but its really bad on here. When you watch movies with black bars the back light just lights those black bars up and now there grey bars. I really think its the 8k resolution causing so much blooming because when you have more pixels you need more back light to light up those pixels causing more blooming also you need more and better processing to be able to process all those pixels. I really think that 8k is just another gimmick to sell more TV's i mean you can't even notice the difference between 8k and 4k also the 8k makes the 4k look worse from the upconverting. 8k just needs more work before its any good i actually think they should just scrap 8k and just stick to 4k its hurting the display instead of making it better that's my opinion just get rid of 8k 4k is enough.

Long time Sony fan i currently have 65 inch z9d and 75 inch z9f. but the Z8H has some major QC concerns.
Issue one cracked screen right out of the box
Second unit replacement had 4 dead/stuck pixels
Pic quality was great not oled blacks but fantastic for a 8k …..errrr 4k as this panel will not natively play 8k content. HDR was excellent
Just had bad luck with 2 in a row

TV picture and sound are great but it's worthless.
It broke down (T-Con board) within 2 years. A tv this expensive should last at least 20 years. Do not waiste your time and money buying any "Master" series. The cheaper model would be better

Tv has an amazing picture, especially at the open box price that I got it. Lots of features and performance is too notch, however... I had to return it due to it lacking many modern features that cheaper TV's have nowadays. The TV has 8k support on 1 HDMI connection. However it does not support VRR, ALLM or have a low response time. TV is focused on movie quality performance around 4k and 8k. Side note 8k will not work from YouTube or Netflix. 8k is only available from a dedicated 8k source through the HDMI 2.1 connection. I can't hate this TV for lacking features because it was a top tier TV s couple years ago, but specs and performance are being found on cheaper 4k and cheaper 8k TV's that this does not have. Bottom line.
This TV is for movie fans, not gamers. Don't buy if you are going to be using a PS5 or a Xbox Series X at 4k 120hz with VRR enabled...it won't work. Nor will ALLM (auto low latency mode). If those are not important to you, you can easily get 4k 120hz but not 1440p 120hz. It has to be 1080p/120hz or 4k/120hz.
