    This is an OLED TV. I do not recommend for outdoors or for watching in brightly lit rooms. I knew this going in. We have this TV in a room which has variable lighting, and I have automation which dims the lights automatically when the unit is powered on. Don't' get me wrong though. The TV can be used with typical room lighting. I'm just being a perfectionist. That all being said, this quality of the picture is outstanding. This is a videophile's TV. OLED is known for its deep blacks. This TV does not disappoint in that regard. I found that the default contrast was too much, so I lowered the contrast slightly. I have the unit connected to an external 7.2.4 Atmos sound system. When she watches by herself, my wife likes to watch and listen to the TV sound. But for me, the external sound is way better than the TV sound. Since the TV features eArc, Atmos and other hi-res sound formats can be piped from the TV to the external sound system. This allows steamed content with Atmos to come fully alive. Not to mention the bass! The AppleTV TV app is buggy. It randomly switches into sub-title mode even if the material is English. No problem with other TV apps - Amazon, Curiosity Stream, Netflix. Since I have an AppleTV+ box, I use that for watching AppleTV. OLED TVs can have burn-in issues. This TV has features which minimize and even correct burn-in. But I still try to avoid keeping stable content on for long periods.

    A great improvement over our XBR65A8H oled. We have had a couple of problems with it turning on and off by itself.? I think this might be a Directv or google problem although there are issues on the internet with similar problems. I would like to try the newer model but just not sure it would be worth the price difference. Oled prices are dropping and I don’t think they will disappear with mini led replacing it. I can’t say much about the sound quality of the whole screen because we have in wall speakers but it sounds decent without the sound system.

    I stepped up from my Sony 60" Bravia (2009). That was the flagship model back in 2009. This new sony is quick amazing! The OLED technology as well as the 4K clarity is simply almost unreal. I really, really enjoy this TV and quite honest fits perfectly in our living room as it's on a corner custom TV stand. Love this TV and hope it lasts for a while. Will probably get the exact same size if this one eventually dies.

    I recently purchased the Sony Bravia 8 OLED and overall, it’s been a great experience. The picture quality is stunning — deep blacks, vibrant colors, and sharp contrast make movies and 4K content look amazing. The Acoustic Surface Audio+ system is also impressive, delivering clear and immersive sound without the need for additional speakers. I’m using it mostly with a PS5, and the gaming performance is smooth and responsive, with support for 4K at 120Hz, VRR, and low input lag. It really enhances the gaming experience. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish it had more HDMI 2.1 ports. Still, it’s a solid premium TV that delivers excellent performance in every category that matters to me.

    The picture is awesome compared to my old 65 inch Sony. Only issue I have is keeping the connection with my optically connected speaker. For some reason it will revert back to the TV speakers. It’s really annoying to have to go to the settings and reconnect it back to my speaker.

    When we purchased this TV, I was looking at other, equally impressive televisions. But the salesman mentioned that the Bravia 8 I was looking at was made to be paired with the PS5 gaming system. There are a couple of extra functions that are available when the 2 units are paired together. The only issue I had with the TV so far, the PS5 and TV did not sync seamlessly. I had to google my issues to learn what settings to change to get my game system to work with the Bravia. It's a beautiful picture.

    The TV is as expected. The image looks great the issues are just that there is some artifacting issues that happen in certain movies at 4k. Make sure that you bring a vehicle large enough for this TV to fit vertically. Great TV, it isn't the best value though.

    Amazing picture especially for movies and dark lit rooms. A little glare with the lights on or if you have the window blinds up but not terrible. Great viewing angles. The software is meh all the settings are messy and confusing at first. I had sound delay issues on certain picture settings. Quality Sound bar or sound system is a must to make the perfect set up.

    The 77" model has a superb picture. I think I may have won the panel lottery. This thing looks Really good. Love the Quad leg positions and how easy they are to install. The thicker back on the TV looks great and feels very solid/high quality. HDR / Dolby Vision looks Amazing. Has great peak brightness. Very color accurate out of the box on most of the presets. If you get the Calman app, it will unlock Custom 1 and 2 for additional Settings options. The A95L is simply priced too high to make the stretch vs the Bravia 8.

    Very nice pics and nice to have a Google TV given we stopped paying for cable. I initially bought the Bravia 9 mini Les but honestly Oled is just amazing. The tv size is great and fits perfects given I had to downgrade frim an 85” tv which was a bit overwhelming for my eyes given our living room is not that big. Tye sound is better than my previous LG oled but I also added a sono sound bar which makes it more enjoyable

    I was worried about this TV not being bright enough, that has not been a problem. My first OLED and it's everything I expected. The sound is very good and I have a pair of Sony noise cancelling headphones that I had paired with a Samsung QLED, they were always crackling. Since pairing them with this tv with 3D sound pairing crystal clear. 1 to a 100 99.999.

    We purchased a Sony - 77" Class BRAVIA 8 OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV (2024) We love it the picture is beautiful colors and very clear. It is like being in a movie theatre my kids and family are really enjoying this TV we had Geek Squid mount it on the wall great job very professional. We are very happy and Best Buy truly is a great place to purchase electronics and appliances.
