There is nothing not to like except the remote control lacks the channel numbers on it. You can't go directly to each channel. Solved the problem by purchasing a Sony remote on line for under 10 dollars. Great set otherwise.

However I have apps that will now not open no matter what I do. I upgraded from a sony Z9F and had issues with that one when i first purchased however after the 3rd update it took care of all those issues. Fingers crossed it does same with this one!

Very Disappointed

Or so I thought. This is the second Sony 77-inch TV I've had. I bought the first one (an XR-77A80J) a couple of years ago. Recently I began experiencing total screen and audio blackouts lasting 3-5 seconds. Geek Squad determined the mother board (the "brain" of the smart TV) was bad. OK. Fine. A replacement was ordered and (about a week later) the replacement was installed. Nope! It didn't work. Well that happens. A second replacement was ordered and (about a week later) the second replacement was installed. Nope! Also defective! Soooooo, my Protection Plan kicked in and Best Buy totally replaced my Sony TV -- in about a week -- with a new current model (an XR-77A80L). YEA!! Nope. We're experiencing the same blackout problem -- again on a TV that is two years newer. I'm going to seriously consider a different brand of TV when/if Best Buy decides they can't fix it.

Best Buy provides First Class Service & Equipment

We were pretty sure we new which TV we wanted to purchase but couldn't locate it in the store. The salesman was very friendly, helped us locate the unit and went over the features with us. He also explained and demonstrated various accessories we should consider--we bought the corresponding sound bar. Next he helped us with various purchase/financing options and set up the delivery and installation at a time that worked with our schedule. This is an outstanding set and we are very pleased with everything from start to finish with our Best Buy experience--we will be a return customer for sure!
