    Goofy mounting holes for wall mount

    Rear Mounting of tv forces the television to be mounted quite higher than normal. Mounting holes are irregularly NOT centered to the back panel of display

    Returned for an LG

    Returned Sony A80L for LG C3 due to lack of available HDMI 2.1 ports ( only 1 because second has to be used for arc sound bar and other 2 ahre hdmi2.0, LG has 4 hdmi 2.1) which for a $2700 TV is insane. I have ps5 and xbox series x so i was only able to have one console running 120 hz 4k. Bad motion processing, where it looks like people or objects moving is blurry all the time no matter what motion settings used. Picture was unimpressive coming from a 2020 LG OLED ( also has 4 hdmi 2.1 ports). Don’t waste the money. Buy an LG OLED. The fact i went through the pain of boxing back up a 77 inch tv and driving it back to the store should tell you something. Sony a80L also has no game bar you have to buy the a95L to get it.

    The TV in my opinion is not worth the money . Black scenes are way too black where you cant even makeout whats going on . If your in a bright room its bad and if you look from the sides of the tv and not straught forward its bad .

    Returned this TV. Too dim for my taste even on the brightest setting. Got a Samsung S90 and a huge difference in brightness.

    Piece of Crap - I got a Sony Lemon

    Piece of CRAP - I got a Sony Lemon! On several occasions I have a green screen covering the whole TV screen. I have to unplug the TV and restart it and hope the green screen does not re-appear again.

    Its a lot darker than i wanted. It also goes black and you need to back out and go back into what you are watching

    The tv is awesome but I bought it with a sole intention to use it with my xfinity app but Sony and xfinity have a conflict of interest with each other that was never mentioned in a 4 thousand dollar purchase.you absolutely have to have the cable box before it will work.

Regarding the Xfinity app, unfortunately, this application is not natively supported in the Google Play store of the TV. As an alternative, if your phone or tablet supports Chromecast, you can simply use this feature from the Xfinity (Comcast) app to cast the content to this TV.     Do not buy if you are looking for a Dual Audio Output TV, for simultaneously listening through an external soundbar and headphones. Although advertised as having this capability, it does not work if your Soundbar connects with HDMI ARC/eARC, which most new Soundbars have. If you use a converter to convert the HDMI ARC/eARC to Optical you can get the dual audio to both the Soundbar and Headphones, but you lose any ability to control sound with the remote control and have to control the sound through your Soundbar app on your phone. I spent hours on Sony Chat to trouble shoot this issue with no resolution. Do not spend your money on this TV.

    Sony Bravia OLED too dark. Bad choice.

    Everything is good until every dark scene. The TV is simply too dark. We were going to return and get the LG G3, but realized that there is a 15 day return window. I recall having a longer (I.e., acceptable) return period at Best Buy. That one slipped by me. Never again.

To start, if you haven't already, we suggest updating your XR77A80L firmware to the latest version.     Best (Worst) Buy awful customer service

    Best buy is the worst customer service, scheduled for delivery, app gave me delivery date, delivery date came in and it was late, I call Best Buy and they tell me it will deliver later that day, two stops, then, driver call me that he doesn’t have the TV or help to install and that I have to call Best Buy to reschedule, I call Best Buy 5 times and open a case, 2 days pass and no scheduled delivery. Wasted a day of work waiting for the TV and now I have vacation commitments that Best Buy is preventing me from having. Worst customer service! Buy your devices elsewhere
