I have had the Sony 77" XR A80L for two weeks. I have not explored all of the functions however, I can say say that the picture is excellent. I was concerned about viewing this in a brighter room but , that has not been a problem. The TV is plenty bright enough. My LR doesn't have windows behind or opposite the TV. I have windows at 90 degree angles to the right and left of the TV. The windows are 20' away on one side and 10' away on the other. I will glare on the screen during the daylight, at wide angles but, direct on viewing is not an issue. Otherwise, daytime screen picture brightness is very good. For low light and dark room levels, the picture is great. There are plenty of professional online reviews. I don't think that those reviews exaggerate the PQ. The sound quality is the best TV that I have ever heard. I compared the this Sony TV to an Samsung S90D at a Best Buy store. The in-store comparison is subject to the store setup. The Sony, Samsung, and LG displays all ran different sample loops so, it was hard to do a complete comparison. I found that the Samsung colors to be pretty flamboyant, I thought Sony colors looked more natural. Also, the Sony seemed to have finer detail in things like grasses and flowers and leaves. What sealed my decision to go the Sony route was when the loop changed and faded to black. I thought that the A80L turned completely black The S90D seemed to have some gray in its black image. Other notes. Samsung has a nice TV; I just prefer the Sony pic. I didn't think that the Sony A95L was worth an additional $2300 especially given that so much of electronic A/V devices are (nearly) obsolete after 5 years. It's costing me an extra $7.50 monthly for Netflix 4k streaming. For the extra subscription they still only give us 'B' movies. My older Sony S790 bluray player does a nice job upscaling my blu-rays. It would cost another $200 - $400 for a 4k player. And, then, 4k movies are another cost, Think upgrading DVDs to blurays and now repurchasing movies in 4k - maybe they'll be viewed a couple of more time. Maybe they'll be on the garage sale table. A80L is a fantastic TV for me. No regrets (except maybe I would get 83" next time).

So far it is great nice picture good quality, sound adjust well to different lights in the room the 77” screen brings more life like entertainment the price was fair the remote works fine at this point am very pleased may be looking at getting a smaller one for a different room same brand looking forward to getting a nice sound board and woofers to bring the sound out more to match the great picture

This Television was an amazing purchase and came with an amazing quality considering my vision isn't that well. Includes many different channels to chose from and was an amazing purchase overall.

I love the TV. This is an upgrade from a previous Bravia model (XBR55-950D) which finally bit the dust after several years of use. The upgrade was well worth it. The colors are great on anything I'm watching or doing. Whether it's streaming, live TV/Sports, Playing PS5, or using it as a secondary monitor for my Laptop it just pops. There is some configuration you have to do to the HDMI Inputs to make sure it's displaying at the resolution and frame-rate you want, but that's pretty standard for most TV brands. Interface is easy to navigate (Google TV), setup was easy. One feature I see only available on premium TVs and that isn't given too much attention is the ability to turn off the display and have only Audio come out. This isn't as prevalent anymore since you can effectively play music from a bunch of devices, but I find it really nice if I want to play a YouTube playlist or long form music stream without the display being on. While the onboard speakers are decent, I do recommend either an External Sound Bar or Sound System in conjunction with the built-in's to get a great sound experience.

Great picture! Setup an using it are easy. Switching over from an older HD plasma TV, and the colors and clarity are excellent. Very happy with this Sony. Can't speak to the audio quality as i have it connected through my receiver and Atmos surround.

Amazing clarity! This TV really makes details very clear and crisp. The colors are superb and the black is pure. The sound is very good but way better with a quality sound system. The remote is easy to use and setup was a breeze. Remember you get what you pay for! Sony is the way to go!

Amazing product! I have always been a Samsung fan but… if your watching 4k content the clarity, colors and sound are amazing! Haven’t tried gaming yet but Im sure it will be first class. Also very bright TV which is great for the basement.

This television replaced my Pioneer Elite Kuro in my surround sound system. Quality is excellent and there is no problem with brightness. Television is in a pretty well lit living room.

I am extremely sensitive to motion issues caused by the frame rates not exactly matching the TVs. I searched a very long time for a television that I could use with minimal motion issues. While no television I researched was perfect, this one had the best ratings. I've now had this television for a month watching 4K, blu-ray, and DVD discs, in addition to using my roku and Directv. All of these items through my Denon receiver. While it has not been complete perfection, this is the absolute best I've ever achieved without having to endure the dredded soap opera effect. My 7 year search for a great 4K television is finally over and I plan to keep this television for many years to come. I can also add that I'm very pleased with the image quality, especially when watching HD and UHD content. Some of the scenes are stunning. Thanks to Sony for concentrating on improving the motion handling. :)

I went to Best Buy to view some current TV models. I've always had a Sony so I checked out several Sony models and decided to get an OLED TV. Since there was a slight cost difference between the 65" and 77", I went for the 77" model. The colors were very natural and not over blown or saturated like the Samsung TVs. Why only 4 stars? I would have given it 5 stars but . . . . . . My 2 older Sony big screen TV had a simple sleep timer on the remote. You click it, you select the length of time and click it again and you are done! This model while costing quite a bit had a remote that was not back lit! And trying to find the sleep timer, forget it and good luck! I called Best Buy and no one could help me. I had to call Sony and was able to locate this. Let me explain this simply like this: the older Sony TV with a sleep timer button on the remote is like wanting to go to the bathroom and then go directly and do your business. The current remote takes 4 steps to get to the sleep timer, thus it is like wanting to go to the bathroom and instead of going straight to the bathroom, you go run around the block first then head to the bathroom. This is crazy. And without any back light to the remote, try doing it in the dark as I did last night! What is wrong with you SONY?

Great bang for your buck with this sony bravia XR Oled tv. Pretty light in weight given its size which is nice for mounting. Picture quality is great. Some of the best tv speakers out there, so if you’re not using a sound bar it isn’t the end of the world. Remote is very sleek, minimal, and easy to use. Operating system is fast with minimal lag while toggling between apps. 8.5/10 overall.

Bought this TV for our dark room and it has been awesome. the size is not too big but is a great size for any large room. It also has magnificent colors and clarity. I would recommend this TV.

This TV has the best picture i have ever seen on TV! It was so easy to set it up, it practically does it itself. I love watching my Ultra High Def. 4k movies on this beauty! I hope it lasts a long time.
