Pretty light in weight given its size which is nice for mounting. Picture quality is great. Some of the best tv speakers out there, so if you’re not using a sound bar it isn’t the end of the world. Remote is very sleek, minimal, and easy to use. Operating system is fast with minimal lag while toggling between apps. 8.5/10 overall.

One of us is visually impaired and the brightness is quite helpful. TV as center picture is a nice feature when the soundbar stays synced.

It was a 4k UHD model and the pictures quality was great. However i knew i wasn't receiving all that Sony tvs were capable of offering. This new purchase of this Sony OLED A30L was the right move. My fear of OLED's stemmed from their past history of burn in's but this seems to be just that--a thing of the past. The picture is vibrant and crisp. Sports movies and video games look much better on this A80Land the sound is impressive for a TV this thin. A worthy upgrade and a very satisfying experience thus far. You wont regret it.

Vivid might be just a tad too vivid, but the other settings look great. However I feel the menu's are somewhat clunky. I wish that there was a way to see what type of signal (1080, 4K, etc) I'm getting from my source like I used to be able to do with my Samsung. I also had to basically disable the Bravia Sync because with my Harmony remote, i couldn't get the TV to switch to the proper input consisantly and when I turned off the system, the TV would switch to the GoogleTV before shutting down so that when I turned it back on, it wasn't on the right input. Disabling Bravia Sync solved that. I suppose I could use the Sony's remote, but I find it lacking to run my AppleTV. In other words, if you're planning to use everything on the GoogleTV side of things, then it's probably fine, but if you plan on using this more as a monitor for your other devices like AppleTV and connected to an AV system, then you might struggle to set it up properly.

We're sorry you've been running into difficulty. We've taken note of your feedback regarding the Video signal display and will be sure to forward this feedback to the appropriate department. The only way you can pull up this type of info is with a J series or older remote that has a "Display" button. K and L series remotes no longer have this ability. In the meantime, to get the full bandwidth capability of the TV from external devices make sure to have all HDMI settings set to their full bandwidth capability. To check the TV HDMI ports: Go to Settings > Channels & Inputs > External Inputs > HDMI signal format > Select which HDMI port > Enhanced.
Depending on the TV settings, the Home screen will be displayed when the TV is turned on. The good news is that you can change the TV startup behavior to Last input if you prefer your TV to power on with the last watched TV channel or external input. Please refer to the link below for more details.

While you would expect 4K content to perform well, which is undoubtedly does, what is sets this TV apart is just how well it handles 1080 and 720 HD content. The processing chip and software from Sony are top notch. After spending weeks looking at specs, reviews, and looking at testing metrics of the latest OLEDs from multiple manufacturers, I agonized over making this decision. Now that I had a month of pushing the A80L 77 through so many different types of content, I am more than impressed. It if very easy to recommend Sony, and the A80L model.

Would be perfect, except for Google TV

Great picture and a true black baggound makes for awesome movie viewing. This would be 5 stars for the fact that this is a Google TV which is total crap. Some apps like my Xfinity Stream is not supported and other apps I had to reinstall and change my login in order for them to work.

Delivery was very quick and the installers were knowledgeable, very respectful of our house (even put on booties to protect my floors) made sure we were happy with the loction. And cleaned up after themselves. The picture is so vivid that it looks like the people are right in the room with us. We are still learning all the features, although some are challenging. We upgraded from a 65 inch Sony OLED. The Google OS seems more stable than the previous Android. We are hoping Sony has made improvements as we were having lockup issues with the Android version. The picture quality is amazing. We use a Sonos sound bar and feel the sound is ever better with this TV. We are very happy with the purchase thus far.

Love Sony A80 series for the color

The color is very accurate with great dynamic range. Although it use the same OLED panel as Samsung and LG, the color is tuned to much accurate by Sony software. Also, the linking between other Sony speakers and Amp is very convenient.
