Broken Dolby Vision or 120hz VRR. Not both.

Couldn't use receiver as single input without changing in the menu every time you switched inputs. Also Dolby Vision looked a bit green. G4 will be the TV I go with.

We are really sorry if our A95L didn't live up your expectations and that it had to be returned. This is certainly not the news we'd like to hear from you. While the A95L supports 4K120Hz and Dolby Vision, the TV does not support Dolby Vision at 120Hz at this time. We will have your feedback noted as we always strive for the best customer experience. As for the power on behavior, you can actually change the TV startup behavior to Last input if you prefer the TV to power on with the last watched TV channel or external input. Incomplete and sloppy install

Soundbar wasn't installed, TV camera was not installed, and sub-woofer wasn't positioned correctly. Techs rushed and did an incomplete job. I didn't realize how much was left to be done until after they left. TV is great, it was just bad work by Geek Squad

Dead on Arrival

The only two choices was wait for another sold out TV or wait for a technician to come repair a brand new TV. I decided to go back to LG

Gamers BEWARE, only 2/4 HDMI 2.1 ports & 1 is eARC
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This TV may be amazing in just about every way.. but for some dumb reason they cheaped out on HDMI 2.1 ports. This won't matter to most people, but only 2 out of 4 of the HDMI ports support HDMI 2.1 allowing 48gbps signals. This matters if you have multiple next-gen consoles or may get them in the future. If you plug your Xbox Series X or PS5 into one of the non-2.1 ports, you'll have several features and capabilities turned off and limited. To make matters worse, one of the two HDMI 2.1 ports is the eARC port. So if you're someone who wants to have a sound bar and be able to change the volume with your TV remote rather than a separate remote (amongst other benefits like better sound), you now only have 1 HDMI 2.1 port to work with. It is difficult to find good quality HDMI 2.1 splitters. Why you can't include 4 HDMI 2.1 ports on a TV that costs minimum $2800 all the way to $5000, I do not know. Personally I have an Xbox Series X, PS5, Apple TV, and eARC sound bar. So yeah, just be aware that it's going to be a headache if you're in a similar situation.

If the soundbar connected to the TV is equipped with 4K/120p passthrough to support the latest video formats including Dolby Vision, you can connect your AV devices (such as Blu-ray Disc player, set-top box, gaming console, etc.) to the HDMI IN jack on the speaker system with an HDMI cable. This way, you can also output sound such as Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS:X in high quality.

5 star tv compromised by logo dimming

When watching SDR sports with peak luminance set to high, the tv will dim down over time when there’s a static scoreboard, making the broadcast much less impactful. LG and Samsung have either removed logo dimming or given the owner the option to disable it in the menus. Sony is at a competitive disadvantage for this, and needs to address ASAP. Everything else about the tv is fabulous.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience using your BRAVIA XR A95L. We’ve taken note of your feedback about the ASBL kicking in or static logo dimming, especially when watching sports content in SDR. We also appreciate pointing out the peak luminance setting that determines how bright it's going to actually be on the average. Picture settings allow a wide array of changes to color, contrast, motion settings, and brightness that can improve the viewed content on your TV. Unfortunately, you cannot turn off ASBL (Auto Static Brightness Limiter) on this unit.
If the same image is displayed repeatedly or for long periods of time, image retention may occur. This issue is not a malfunction. We have equipped this TV with functions, [Pixel shift] and [Panel refresh], that are designed to reduce image retention. These functions automatically run according to your TV’s condition or you can run them manually.
Despite your concerns, we're delighted to hear that you like most of the features of this TV, especially the excellent picture quality.
