Love this TV. Super bright, great contrast, deep black levels that rival OLED, with no blooming. I compared it against the LG G4, I own both and prefer the Bravia 9.

Coming from an OLED, I don't miss the OLED. There is one small downside to this mini-LED though. With full screen, bright color images, there is vignetting on the sides and top corners of the image. It's not too distracting, but it's there. I guess it's the price you pay to not worry about burn-in. The brightness, colors, and clarity of the image are unmatched. Off-axis viewing is as good as my old Sony OLED too. The sound quality is great for TV speakers, but I'm still using a soundbar.

This is the best TV I've ever owned. The picture and sound are incredible. Even though we had Sony's "Flagship" TV, the XBR-75Z9D from 2017, the advancement in technology is very noticeable. This TV is brighter, has better color and even enhances the picture from Cable TV! You really notice the difference in the skin tones, sharpness, and clarity. Good examples that demonstrate that are News programs. The sound has also greatly improved, and you no longer need to connect Surround Sound components to you're WiFi. All components are connecting wirelessly to the Sony TV itself, using the Soundbar 9, large Subwoofer and their two larger Surround Sound Rear speakers.

Excellent TV. For the price, I think the TVs like Hisense U8N and the TCL QM8 are just as good. Maybe not quite as good but close at less than half the price. I bought this after having a trial with the Hisense U8N 85” in my home, mainly because I continually wondered if I would regret not going for a Sony that is more reliable from a reputation standpoint. I still have a Sony Bravia 46” in my other room that is almost 20 years old.

TV is actually phenomenal once I was able to attach the legs. Highly recommended for picture, appearance, quality, and 110/220v. I am partially to blame. I purchased the TV as an open box "excellent" product at my Best Buy store. I bought the TV as the price was great as an open box purchase. I was going to use it once we moved overseas and therefore never unboxed it. Put too much trust in Best Buy verifying that all the parts were there! After all, I had no issues with a Bravia 7 tv I bought just a month earlier as an Excellent condition too. Not to mention numerous other Excellent condition open box purchases over the last couple of years. No issues ever. By the way, Sony televisions are great that they can be used on 240V supply as well. Fast forward now to just a month ago, when my furniture along with my Sony Bravia 9 television is unboxed overseas. Surprise, 4 screws needed for the feet are missing as well as the remote control! I had to order replacements through Sony in Thailand and I am still waiting to receive them. Again, this is the part that is my fault. I should have unboxed everything when I got it home versus waiting until I was in another country months later. Needless to say very frustrating. I just purchased some universal M5 x 12 screws until the parts from Sony arrive. So grateful that they worked and I could use the remote from my Bravia 7. Still was a good price, being shorted key items was not expected. Excellent means all parts are included!! Buyers beware.

The Sony BRAVIA 9 is excellent for mixed usage. The TV gets very bright and has superb reflection handling, so it's suitable for use in a bright room. It also looks incredible in a dark room due to its exceptional contrast, and HDR content is impactful due to its incredible HDR brightness. It has modern gaming features that make it fully compatible with recent consoles, and its excellent response time delivers fast motion with minimal blur, which is great for playing video games or watching sports. Unfortunately, the TV's viewing angle is mediocre, limiting its usefulness for watching content with a large group of people.

Bought this back in October 2024 as a store return, fast forward December 2025 and I can say that this set has met all my expectations from a mini LED 4k set. Definetly worth getting the Sony wall bracket specific for this model, too. The only nitpick I have is the screen "dirty" look when the display is in transition from turning on to having UI, or HBO. For some reason there is uniformity artifact (from the led arrays behind the screen) It does not detract from the excellent black levels once the content is displayed. The UI is responsive and the remote backlight is great.

I have enjoyed this Sony Bravia!!! After watching the video reviews, the set up was a breeze. The picture is amazing to say the least. Make sure your HDMI cables are the 4k/8k 48Gbs cables and your screen pops!!! I have the audio connected to a Sony receiver 5.1 surround sound for the ARK. I have not experience any bug issues as of yet. This tv was an open box. The sales people from Best Buy we very helpful, answered all my questions and helped load the tv in the trailer. Thanks

All I can say is WOW! Watching movies, TV content is lifelike. The TV's sound is awesome, if you have no external sound system yet, this is enough for a living room not a dedicated home theater room. Tweaking the TV is simple not complicated, so nice. This TV is money's worth!! My wife love it too!

This TV is great, and it’s worth the premium. Watching nature shows and sports is definitely an escalated experience from our previous TV which was also a Sony LED (2019). The brightness has actually hurt my eyes when I was testing the settings during video game console setup. I can’t speak to the Bravia 7 being much of a downgrade or not, but if you get this TV I don’t foresee having much to complain about.

Great TV. The picture is very clear and settings out of the box are pretty great. I did find that I preferred the Dolby Vision bright tweaked a bit to find my own personal balance. The blacks get pretty black having come from an older OLED. Very Happy with the TV.

Best 85” TV available, and for my use case, better than 77A95L Virtually no blooming. Disappointing that color gamut is slightly lower than QD-OLED, but being super bright and very high color volume (vibrant bright colors) makes up for it. Sony should have released this years ago…and its priced too high.

Its a nice tv, good sound quality. You get a lots of reflection when screen is off. No problem viewing from side, ps5 look great, I love the tv for movies. I bought 85 inch because I own a 65 bravia and want to go bigger.

I wanted a huge bright TV for the upstairs TV room - this TV is incredible! The colors and bright pictures exceed all expectations! I would say the black levels are as good as an OLED - but I don’t have then side by side - hence I can just say the blacks are also outstanding!

The picture quality on the Sony Bravia 9 is truly amazing; super bright, insanely detailed, and the contrast makes everything pop. Watching movies and shows feels like being in a theater, especially on the massive 85” screen. Pairing it with a Dolby Atmos surround sound system is an absolute game changer.

We are so pleased with the picture quality and color. We thought 85” would be a bit much but it is perfect for our TV room. We would highly recommend this TV or any Sony.
