Brightness issue with use of closed captions

I purchased this TV and really liked it at first! Local dimming is good, but you will see some minor blooming in the black letterboxes when bright images come near them on the screen. When watching darker content and using closed captions, the entire screen becomes mildly brighter when they are displayed. This fluctuating brightness was distracting, especially as we often use closed captioning, and ultimately led to us choosing to return the TV. Of note, we were using an Apple TV 4K to view shows and movies on the television and noticed this problem when using Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+ and Prime Video.

The Sony Bravia 9 Mini LED 85" is an excellent TV. It is as close to the LG G4 OLED that I've seen. I bought the Sony Bravia 9 because it is in a very bright room. Also, even though the professional critics say 'burn-in is no longer an issue with an OLED, my understanding that 4 out of 100 still have burn -in issues. The picture quality is not quality is not outstanding but it is excellent. Contrast is everything to me and this TV gets an A- but the LG G4 is an A+.

This set has Great Picture quality. I had a 75" Samsung which this Television replaced. We had previously been a fan of Samsung, however, in comparison, the Sony 85" Class BRAVIA 9 Mini Qled 4K UHD does in fact, have better picture quality.

This tv has great color and clarity.
When ever I switch from another app to the Directv app to watch tv, the mouth and sound do not match up. The tv is up to date on firmware, so I have to hard restart everytime to sync up mouth and sound.
Finally, the tv has a rechargeable remote. Unfortunately, a charging cable is not included. You need to provide it yourself. That is just plain and simple corporate being cheap and greedy. Include the $5.00 cable in the package.
After all said and done, I would purchase a different Sony tv.

Regarding the audio synchronization on the DirecTV app, this can often be resolved by refreshing the app's internal data. We recommend trying the following steps:
1. Clear Data and Cache: This removes temporary files that may be causing the glitch. Go to Settings > Apps > See all apps > Select DirecTV > Clear data and Clear cache.
2. Force Stop: This ends all background processes for the app to give it a fresh start. Go to Settings > Apps > DirecTV > Force stop.
3. Check for App Updates: Ensure the app itself is up to date. Open the Google Play Store on your TV, search for the DirecTV app, and select "Update" if it is available.
Regarding the remote, we would like to clarify that a USB Type-C charging cable is an included accessory for this model. We apologize that it was missing from your box.

This is hands down the best tv money can buy. If you are worried about oled as the hype is all around that, I encourage you check out the Bravia 9. Comapring it to the A95L it is very close and often I found the B9 to stand out as the winner.

This tv is top notch, best in market. Its sound quality is also amazing.when the tv got got delivered to me it had hand prints on the tv screen because of which light was reflecting. Best buy team exchanged it for a new one. Amazing customer experience.

I love this tv , I’m so glad I went with the 85 inch I wouldn’t have it any other way, best picture best sound and I’m only using the tv’s speakers. Thank you Best Buy for forgetting me in the right direction and choose in the right TV

This is a very nice TV. The reason we're not giving it a 5 star is mostly due to the price and BestBuy itself. Think there are other TV's out there that may be comparable at a better price point. BestBuy rewards have been awful to deal with. I've been given so much misinformation! I actually want to have them pick up the TV but of course it's more of a hassle for us than them. So, in closing we will not recommend BestBuy to family or friends in the future.

The Bravia 9 is very bright TV. Works well in a room with a lot of windows. Upscaling engine on the bravia 9 is great. Makes low resolution movies and tv shows look great. Black levels are really close to OLED levels. Very pleased with purchase.
