Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.With new TVs I expect the sound quality to suffer, it’s unfortunate nobody’s figured that out - or the companies just want to get more $ from you for sound bars and subwoofers. I was surprised at the sound (pleasantly) but it still needs an alternate sound source - big sound to match the big picture.

Thank you for the review and we do apologize for the inconvenience. You can download apps by accessing the Google Play Store on your Google TV and Android TV. The Google Play Store is where you can find all the apps available on both Google TV and Android TV. If you can't find the app in the Google Play Store, it's possible it doesn't exist or is currently unavailable on the Google TV and Android TV platforms. It's possible that a smartphone app doesn't have an equivalent on Google TV or Android TV. In that case, you might resort to casting content.

Picture quality usually depends on the signal and content. While we are not sure what device/streaming application you are using, you may try adjusting the picture settings of the TV according to your preferences and see if it improves your overall viewing experience. 85-inch TV is great. Stereo surround sound not so

The Geek squad did hook up my stereo receiver and speakers for the most part. The two big speakers are working just fine, but I am not getting any sound from my center speaker and my two small speakers. So I am not getting the full surround sound that I was hoping for.

This is definitely not the experience we would like you to have. If you are not able to get any surround sound effects when playing audio, there may be a problem with your hookup or there may be an incorrect setting. While we are not sure what brand/model of receiver you have this TV connected to, you may try following the troubleshooting steps using this article to isolate the problem:

You may also try playing different source device/streaming application that supports 5.1 digital audio channel to further isolate the issue.

THE SOUND IS ON THE SCREEN GOES BLACK EXCEPT FOR THAT LINE. I FOUND THE SOLUTION ON YOUTUBE TURN IT OFF FROM THE WALL OT FROM THE TV FOR IT TO COMEBACK. MY TV IS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD AND I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM IS ALREADY ON YOUTUBE.
