We have a dark room so are very pleased with the quality of the tv picture. We added a separate sound bar that we are having problems with. The background noise is louder than the people speaking which makes it difficult to decipher what is being said. Since we aren’t listening directly thru the tv speakers, we aren’t sure if this a a tv issue or surround sound problem but think it is the surround sound. We need to have the Best Buy technicians back out after the holidays to rectify this problem.

I debated between Sony and LG, and I'm glad I went with Sony. The colors and sharpness are amazing on this TV. Moving through the menus is very responsive, and I like the feature that you can control your cable box right from the TV remote. This 85-inch is a beast and, although I wall-mounted it myself with a little help from my brother-in-law, I recommend paying for the professional installation.
