Then a new one was ordered and was installed. Great tv so far. Guys did a great job installing and cleaning up. Love the picture. Sound has to be turned up a little louder even with the Sony sound bar but we like it.

The upscaling is fantastic and provides great picture quality everytime. No regret on buying this TV during Black Friday. I was thinking of buying Hisense U8 due to its good review but Sony is built to last and it was an awesome buy.

That said, the cross‑angle (off‑axis) viewing is not good—colors wash out and contrast drops noticeably when you move even a bit off center, which is tough in a wide living room. The interface is just okay: it works, but it can feel busy with extra recommendations and menus. Considering the price, Samsung’s comparable models look more promising to me in both feature set and wide‑angle viewing, which holds up better for group watching. The original tv came with a few dead pixels but it was an easy and hassle free exchange with Best Buy to receive the replacement. The return and exchange happened on the same day I requested and the replacement has zero issues. The tvs sound quality is above what I’ve experienced with multiple new tvs a sound bar/system will improve your experience though.

The color red really stands out. Sometimes too much. The sound is very weak. it needs a soundbar. Google platform very nosey.

But whats done is done right? I will say that after recieving it and setting it up im actually more excited about it now than ever. The picture is nothing short of incredible and the recresh rate when gaming is the best ive seen. All in all I kinda fell bad for feeling bad about viying it initially lol. Awesome TV and worth every penny. My family looks forward to movie night so much more now!
