    Wonderful improvement from my 10+ year old Mitsubishi 85" 1080P TV. Excellent clarity and blacks, no blooming seen with my eyes at ~14ft viewing distance. I made no adjustments yet. Only issue, common to nearly all new flat screens I think, is more glare from side lights, versus the old Mitsubishi with its matte finish screen. This is only noticed when off or with an all or nearly all black screen when on. I've read that the Samsung "frame" TV with matte finish is not nearly as good at this TV though. Overall, very pleased, would recommend this Sony TV to others.

We're delighted to hear you appreciate the picture quality, especially the black levels, improved brightness, and very good blooming performance. And good to know you've seen the overall improvements of this TV over your previous TV. If you really want the best viewing experience, it's also a good idea to turn off all lighting sources as Sony TVs look the best in the darkest environment possible. Light from windows and lamps may cause glare on the TV screen. Using a brighter Picture Mode, like Vivid or Standard, will also help reduce reflection while watching TV or gaming.
