We chose to buy it because our last Sony Bravia was purchased in 2006, and while it was top of the line for many years, and still working well, we retired it for a smart TV. This Bravia is much more impactful than it’s 65” predecessor, the clarity is typically excellent for a Sony, and despite other reviews complaining about the sound quality, we have not noticed that we need or even want to add a sound bar. Pro tip: if you are buying one of the larger models just bite the bullet and pay for Geek Squad installation. Those guys were worth every penny. My TV is perfectly installed, they did it efficiently with perfection, and it was worth it just to not have to carry it down my basement stairs or try to get it home in my midsize SUV.

Colors, sound and other functions need some tweaking, but overall is a great, big TV at a reasonable price. Also, it's a Sony. We have a 13 year old 55 inch Sony TV that still works and shows amazing picture quality.

Very Slow Functioning

At first we thought it was an Internet issue, and our cable company came out to see what was going on. The Internet was working perfectly. It sometimes doesn’t load you into YouTube and you have to find a back door to get in. We’re not sure if we just got a defective TV or if this is how all of them are but it’s definitely on the slower side and super frustrating when you’re watching a movie and it has to buffer for five minutes. It’s also frustrating when you can’t log into YouTube and you have to sign out and sign back in for it to act right. We got it on sale, so I guess you get what you pay for…
