Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible my first set had a few lines going thru it and I only had the tv for a few days after setting all my streaming and cable services I couldn’t get rid of the lines so I was very disappointed in this Sony TV I tried factory reset a few times and I unplugged the set and waited for two mins plugged it back in and it still was there. Just Received my replacement tv today I’m hoping I don’t have any other issues. Otherwise the tv had great picture and sound just wish I didn’t have this issues

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I knew I wanted an 85" TV for my family room which is 20' x 24'. I looked at others and settled on this one due to its size and picture quality. The TV sound out of the box was good, but I decided to pair it with the HTST-5000 w/ the 300 W Sony subwoofer, which is now outstanding. It fills the room with great sound and is good with movies, TV Shows, and streaming. Since my family room has more light than my theater room, I decided on this TV due to its brightness vs. an OLED. It is perfect in this room. The picture clarity is outstanding, the motion smooth, and no jitter. I opted not to use the legs and mounted the TV above my gas log fireplace, giving me plenty of room for my Sony Soundbar. Since above the fireplace was the best place to mount the TV, I did worry about heat. I checked the temperature and knew it was within range of the operating temperature, but to be the safe side, I ordered a heat shield and put it under the soundbar, which lowered the temperature by 30 degrees. Because the TV mount swivels, pivots, and articulates, I can position the TV so there are no shadows, and it is viewable from all of the seating positions, which range from 0 to 45 degrees, with no loss of picture quality. I attached a picture during the day with the blinds slightly up and opened to show the picture quality of an SD TV show which would be the worst possible picture, and it is still good. If I watch streaming 4K or Bluray, it is simply incredible. The TV comes with many pre-loaded apps, and you can add more. I rarely find myself using the Amazon Cube. The airplay works flawlessly with both movies, youtube, videos from my iPhone, music, etc. I also attached my Bose over-the-ear headphones; they connected immediately and worked great. I had read that some people didn't like the screen they were presented with when the TV was first turned on. You can change a setting: what the default source is at startup. We have ours to turn on to DISH, which made the wife happy. The remote is nothing fancy, but this one still has the number pad on it, making it faster than the "new" style where the numbers appear on the screen. The remote also has four short but buttons for Youtube, Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video, along with the typical Yellow, Blue, Red, and Green buttons. Another added feature is allowing the volume to be displayed on the TV or not displayed when changing the volume on the soundbar. One last note. The TV has both an ethernet and wireless. Since I had ethernet behind the TV, I hooked it up but found I was limited to 100MB, I have 1000GB and tried the wireless and was getting about 850MB so in my case, wireless was the better option for streaming. So if you have fast internet with access to ethernet, you might try wireless, which isn't limited to the 100MB limit that the ethernet is. All in all, this is an excellent TV for what I am using it for!

The picture quality is amazing and ive had this TV for almost 3 years now with absolutely zero issues. I had a samsung TV before i purchased this sony and i had to restart it once or twice a week until it finally quit working. Never had to restart this TV ever and we have it turned on A LOT. Movis, tv, gaming, its all amazing. My TV is an 85 inch, huge, and it's crystal clear no matter how close you are to it or how far. I would very much. recommend this TV. Not to mention, the staff was excellent as usual.
