The picture quality of this TV is excellent. We sit 10 feet away from it and it's like we're at the movie theater. We watch TV with a lot of light (the east side of our house is all windows - TV is pointing south) and we have no issues. It is also great at night but it's not pitch black in our room as we have some ambient lighting behind our backs. Well worth the money and if we had to do it over again, we would buy the same TV.

What a picture. Excellent contrast with realistic colors. No motion blur with any sports.

If you're looking for a set over 65", this is the way to go. And the 85" is easily the best value/bang for the buck set on the market, not even close. No, this won't beat an OLED in picture quality (I've had 2 OLED sets)....and if you're in the market for 65" or less, get an OLED if you really want the best picture, and are willing to pay a little more. But for 90% of content, this set is on par with the best ones out there.

Ok, let's face it you get what you pay for. This TV is unbelievable. I didn't want just another TV I wanted something that was spectacular and I believe this 85" Sony fits the bill. The picture blows away my old plasma (also a Sony) and that has a great picture so moved it to the living room. Thanks Sony

After much research and time sorting different televisons, I'm very happy with this model. In the 85" range, this is the best television for the money. I have this coupled with a Denon avr6500h receiver and a sound system. The Dolby Vision and Atmos is awesome. Only a few television will show Dolby Vision and this is one on them. The bravia sync does not work well with my setup so that is the only negative. The picture is top notch, no complaints.

Awesome TV. It’s taken me awhile to get over the price I paid for it but everyone that’s come over has commented on how awesome it is. Great picture and huge. Love it!

I really wanted to love this TV. It looks great watching a movie, playing video games and streaming. While the picture is a bit on the soft side it has depth to the picture and very natural. Colors are accurate (to me), and I wanted to love the tv...but I got it to watch sports. However, when watching sports it’s nothing but a pixelated muddy mess of colors. Motion can’t seem to keep up, pixels and halos around moving objects. It’s horrible. They said the processor was among the best out there for ups along and it’s not. It’s just not good at all. I had Comcast out, tried various streaming services, and I still couldn’t get it to a setting where it was even bearable to watch sports. Near the end I did run my cable box through my Xbox as I believe there’s an Xbox 4K upscaler built-in, but I couldn’t get it to even look good through that....at least $3000 good. I took it back once and was going to get an LG nanocell and the manager said I wouldn’t be happy. I told him I’m already not happy! He was not cool and basically threw the consultant that listened to what I was using the tv for under the bus on his recommendation. So here I am wasting my time waiting for the return truck and they get here and say we can’t take it off the wall. Well I’m single and I’m not going to do it. So I have to take another half day off work to wait on these chaps. It’s been a nightmare and frankly, I’m looking to hopefully get the 75” nanocell or q70. See if either one of those can process motion better. We will see. Signed, No Sony for me.

Awesome product from Sony as usual! Great picture!

This TV is awesome -- the picture in a dark theater is beautiful. I'm pretty picky and I couldn't be happier with this purchase 9 months ago...until today. It won't power on. It comes on, then it shuts off, and I get the 4 flashes of the red Sony light. Working on Sony's repair department, glad it's under warranty still. Very concerned if this continues to be an issue. A quick google search doesn't bode well I'm afraid.

This t.v. is awesome! And at 85 inches, man this thing is perfect for the living room. Upgraded from a 45 to an 85 and wow let me tell you. This t.v. is easy to use, apps are simple to use and other than that it's a 4k tv with a clear crisp picture.

I am impressed with the sheer size of this Sony TV. At 85 inches, you need some serious wall space. The colors are rich and vibrant, and the deep black levels rival that of OLEDs, at less cost.

I was impressed with the price, features, size and the picture is incredible. I recommend you have the Best Buy people deliver and install the TV. It is absolutely a two person job. We could not be happier.

This is a stunning TV! Great buy! It's huuuuuge and the picture is so amazing! Completely worth every single penny! Only complaint I have is that you have to be extremely careful to never let anything touch the screen. This is our second purchase of this tv because the screen in our first one was so easily damaged.

Great picture. As close to an OLED TV as I could get and It’s and 85” tv! Once you get the tv home, you will not be able to tell the difference. As I use the built in Hulu, Prime and Netflix apps, I do wish a few of the buttons on the remote were programmable.

This is an absolutely awesome TV! The colors are so vibrant and the detail is amazing. We saw this one and another one in store and it was a no brainer! Spend the extra money and get the 900 it truly is worth it! The colors pop off the screen and makes you feel as though you are in the picture.

We have been enjoying this Sony for a month now. We splurged when buying and paired with Bose 700 sound bar and bass module for complete viewing package. We are movie buffs and love being comfortably at home instead of in a theatre—this unit delivers theatre quality in the comfort of remaining at home. Basic DVD’s are enjoyable to watch and as we purchase new DVD’s will buy 4K ones which are phenomenal to watch. Controller is easy to understand as well as menus. We did mount tv on wall by BB (3rd party installers) and our recliners are straight in front from unit. Furniture on side has great picture viewing as well. We plan on years of enjoyment—have not gamed yet; know that it too will be fantastic! Highly recommend saving up to purchase this tv and sound system.

I have owned several large screen TVs from Samsung. I am so impressed with Sony. The picture is amazing and it is very easy to use. Love watching the colors and action

This is the first time I bought big screen 85" sony led 4k,it is amazing,pictures so much clearly ,good quality, easy to set up,we love it

My wife and I are not the most technical people around, but the Sony TV is very easy to use. We have had little problem going through the menus and the quality of the picture is amazing.
