Simply AWESOME with Bravia 9 soundbar system

Needed a forklift to bring it in over the balcony in the Box because the stairwell was toooo narrow. Scheduled the GeekSquad for the wall mounting of the tv and the soundbar system. Paired with the Sony Bravia 9 soundbar, sub, and wireless battery powered satellite speakers. A GAME CHANGER.! Download the Sony TV app and you can fine tune the sound system from there. It also contains a sound system test video that will blow you away with the capabilities. Additionally, room sound acoustics are adjusted automatically within the Sony TV app. The tv was paired with a Apple TV 4k streamer and setup along with downloading cable tv apps and other apps was a breeze. Geek Squad installation crew was awesome and did a great job!!! Measured EXTENSIVELY and drilled holes only once. I suggest everyone get the full motion Sanus mount for this tv and it will be the last mount you will ever need to buy. Well made and extremely well thought out per the Geek Squad installers. Get the Sanus tv-soundbar plug kit as well. Yes it adds to cost but the clean installation with NO WIRES visible is really sharp.!

At first I was a bit hesitant to consider size over outright picture quality. This was my thinking having grown fond of OLED Sony products. Our other TV is a 77-in OLED. Let me just say that after having this installed in our living room, sheer size and yet still a very impressive picture quality have one me over. This TV has changed movie night for the better. Subtitles are readable, action moves great distances, it continues to impress months later. The Google TV smart integration is really the best out there.

A sweet spot for size, quality and price!

Why? Because it's a true jack of all trades: -Price. I just replaced a 100" Sony that was 3-4 time the price of this. -Immersive 98", -Picture quality (upscaling, motion, color accuracy) -good brights and darks (contrast), -local dimming is good enough to not notice (unless turning the lights off and staring at the black bars instead of watching the movie). If you're on the fence about it choose between this for size or 85" Bravia 9 if you want the next level up in picture quality. OLED can take a backseat for now (My kids are still enjoying our 77" A80J).

Great TV

You need to make sure you have 4K content to enjoy its capability. The HDR is much better than my previous TV, and the Atmos decoder works well with my sound system. The installation not so great. They should measure twice and drill once so they get it in the correct spot.

98 inch tv review

I would match the performance of this tv with sony x90l and hisense u8 in the 98 inch size. I'm very happy with this purchase.

SONY has outstanding reviews in Consumer Reports and they are all true. We have a 75” SONY and that helped us decide on this tv. Better than going to the theatre. Can’t go wrong with quality. Comments from friends are unbelievable!!! Don’t have to go out somewhere to see the size of a great tv from the comfort of home with snacks or interrupted by people moving and disrupting you as you’d get at the theater. No germs either.

Way heavier then other brands, thats because its built like a tank. Zero problems and did not putchase warranty, well because its a Sony. Software, processing, picture is all top notch. I was on the line with this TV and a chinense brand mini led TV. If you do your homework this TV outperforms, will have zero problems, and will outlast.

Easy to mount great picture

Wow what a difference with the picture quality on the new television. The picture and the smart menu are perfect with the benifit of now not having to connected an Apple TV since it is pre installed on the tv. I am very happy with my choice. When we took the tv out of its package it had easy to hold handles on the backside making the mounting to the wall easy with only two people.

Unbelievable Quality and Massive Size

They did an outstanding job installing the unit and took the time to explain the features. All i can say is wow! This replaced a Sony 85” 900F and it is impressive. Gaming is smooth and enveloping but i am upgrading our AVR to a Denon 4800H to get the 120HZ pass thru and VRR features. This is currently on sale for $4999 and the Denon was priced matched to $1799 with additonal incentives. This is highly recommened.

Better than a projector

The size can be a bit overwhelming but it sure beats a projector for a movie effect in my opinion. Sometimes the screen can be TOO bright though. I'm still adjusting the settings to optimize my experience. Overall, very happy with my purchase.
