It's a great super-feature rich camera. I know professional photographers talk about it as an entry level professional DSLR camera. It has a nice feature of allowing your iPhone to remote view and remote control camera off the camera's built in WiFi. This is great for professional quality selfies. This camera is packed with features and has tons of buttons all over the place. That makes it somewhat complicated to get used to using. But the superb picture and video performance makes all the effort of learning how to use the camera worth it. For me the biggest reason I got this camera was it's ability to take professional 4k videos for v-logging. Lots of phones can take nice 4k videos under bright sunlight, but if try to take videos under low light or indoors under low light you start to get disappointed with the amount of static that starts to show up in even the best phone video cameras. I originally purchased GoPro Hero 8 with Vlogging Media Mod (total cost of $380), but then I was heavily disappointed with the grainy static looking 4k video quality on lower light videos. So I returned it and got the Sony A6100 -- much much much better. The Sony A6100 is a compact DSLR camera that can take 4k videos comparable to what you expect from a $1500 Canon professional camcorder for about half the price. But unlike the $1500 professional camcorder it takes great still photos. Many digital DSLR video cameras hard limit video recording to a maximum of 30 minutes because their compact case isn't built for the heat build up that might happen beyond 30 minutes. The Sony A6100 has no such hard limit. The only limit is that when you go beyond 30 minutes you won't have enough battery life to go much longer and you are more likely to trip the camera's overheat sensor, which will then promptly stop the video recording. I spent another $150 in "case relay" brand accessories to allow me to go for several hours of continuous videoing in moderate temperatures (up to 90 degree F not in direct sunlight) So I'm happy. I get professional DSLR quality still photos and professional quality 4K videos in one device that costs under $800. It's kind of the entry level for an all-in-one device that meets both professional phots and professional 4k video needs.

Incredible autofocus for a budget camera. Very light and easy too carry for traveling. The only con is the battery life. Good idea to buy a spare Battery.

I absolutely love this camera! It is great quality and very easy to use on the go. If you've been wanting the canon digital camera this is the one you should get, and honestly its better quality!

wanted something a little smaller than my previous canon rebel and love how compact this is! takes great photos - has a built in flash. if i had to choose one thing i would change, it would be that the digital screen could be turned and folded in to be protected when not in use. However, not a deal breaker for me. Happy with this purchase!

This camera is very good. The quality of the pictures are great but the only thing that isn’t too great is the battery life it has.

I use this camera daily for picture taking and video work. The weight is perfect and the ease of taking pictures is second to none. I have other cameras at a higher price point that don't capture 4k video with as much ease as this one.

Only had a chance to use a few time BUT as always, Sony cameras NEVER disappoint!!! My first Sony was back in 2000 (the first 5 megapixel on the market) and after 12+ years of fantastically beautiful photos, many turned to framed pics for friends and family for gifts, started to use my cell phones as my go to camera. Then phone broken in a move forcing it's much overdue retirement. Love this new camera and so far fantastic pictures. Having a little trouble with the new features but because Sony is, what I feel is user friendly, just a little learning curve. I know that with time spent with the camera will be worth the small frustrations. Bottom line GREAT camera and good price point for what you get with a Sony!

I started off with the Sony A5100, mainly for the flip up screen, then I switched to the Sony A6000. I was disappointed that there wasn’t a flip up screen on the Sony A6000, while I did enjoy it and took incredible pictures I switched to the Sony A6100 and I’m so glad I did. There are so many features and I love taking family pictures and being able to see myself with the flip up screen instead of using my phone as a mirror image. As far as thinking about the Sony A6400 that wasn’t a option for just a little difference I stuck to the Song A6100 and so happy I did.

The camera has an amazing quality and as a beginner user of digital camera, the settings are pretty easy. You can upload your pictures from the camera to your phone. Last but not least, the price was amazinggggg!

After you watch a few YouTube videos you’ll find that this camera is pretty easy to use, I recently purchased this because I am expecting my first child so I wanted something to take good pictures and videos and the quality of this camera is really great even without an expensive lens but I do plan to get a better lens than the 16-50mm lens this camera comes with. Overall easy to use, super easy to send the pictures on the camera to your cellphone you just need to download an app on your phone that will connect with your camera, really happy with this

Bought this for my girlfriend as a graduation gift with the intent for her to use it for videos, but it has became her main camera and she’s loved it ever since. 5/5. Great quality for the price you will pay

Great camera, purchased it as a gift for my god-daughter and she is absolutely loves it. She hasn't put it down since she got it. Camera takes high quality pictures and very easy to handle.
