This is the best mirror less camera available. It’s an older model but there’s so much you can do with it in a perfect portable size and weight. I sold mine 2 years ago and got it back just because my a7 IV it’s too big some times when I’m out and about taking pictures. Definitely a good starter camera, and a good choice as a daily camera.

I am using this small camera for video 90%....it's small, light, fits my small back perfectly. It focuses quickly, locking on moving subjects with any delays. That flip screen is great, especially when doing self broadcasting. The only thing I wish it could be better is the battery, which last very short, compared to A7III. I have to carry 2 for most of time. I am happy with this camera.

Pros: -light weight -the viewfinder is on the side opposed to the center (a7's) which I like because my face oils don't smudge the screen -weather sealed - auto focus is very fast cons: NO IBS! but just make sure your lens does and problem solved!) battery life sucks, load up on extras I don't mind the "hot shoe being in front of the flip up screen" because there are work arounds like the hot shoe mountain that has double hot shoes (center and left/right) Pretty user friendly considering it is my first Sony!

I own a sony a7iii but was looking for a backup camera my kids could use for their vids and photo needs (they are into photography/videography and have been in their schools av clubs). This camera is such a great option for people who want great professional looking pictures and videos at a lower cost than the high end mirrorless cameras. While this is not as compact as the a6000 it is much smaller and lighter than the a7iii.

Now that its on sale its such a steal. Amazing 6k video thats down smapled to 4k, looks amazing! The burst photos always come out crystal clear. Paired with a tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 with built in VC takes amazing photos. I use this camera to take pictures of the family, hiking and any outing.

Its basically an upgrade on the a6300 and while it does not have IBIS like the a6500, its a much better performing camera in AF. It will also has no recording limit and does not overheat as fast as the a6500. It may last 5 to 6 times longer than the a6500 before it shuts down about 2-2.5 hrs. I had 2 Canon 70d and had the a6300. although the a6300 had the continuous eye AF in photos it did not match Canons dual pixel AF in video. But now I can truly say that the a6400 surpassed the Canons AF.

Easy to use, small, light, the quality is great! Great camera for travel. The tour guide complained that I did not listen to him instead walking around with my SONY too much :)

Been doing a lot of reviews of many of the new cameras. Wanted one that would provide excellent focus and 4k video. The 6400 was a lot less money than I was willing to spend, which allowed me to get more lenses and a gimbal and still spent less than many other brands or models. Such a great value. Once my wife and I started to take pictures and video, I found the camera went way beyond expectations for this price point. 10 frames per second of fast moving objects and found 95% perfect focus on what should have been in focus. If your willing to increase the iso in low light, even better percentage of in focus! And the higher iso looks really good.

This is probably the best APS-C camera available under $1,000. I went with the Sony A6400 over other options such as the A5100, A6100, A6600, and the full frame options. I chose it over the A5100 and A6100 because I wanted all the benefits the new models offer such as the autofocus upgrades, but I also wanted the video options the A6400 comes with that the A6100 does not offer. I opted for the A6400 over the A6600 because I didn't feel as though IBIS was worth the $400 price increase since I'll mainly be using this for in-home videos for YouTube and livestreaming on Twitch. I'd suggest even if you're looking into the A6600, to just pick up the A6400 and pick up a nice lens with OSS with that $400 that you save.

Great affordable camera especially for video because ultra fast autofocus. Also useful in doin continuous videos, can record up to 45 mins and up without stop. On the other hand to prevent overheating, either buy an external battery housing or dual battery pack so battery won't overheat if you run camera recording for a long time.

This camera introduced me to photography. After doing a lot of research it came down to the a6400 or the a6000, and I don't regret spending the extra money to get the a6400. It may be a bit overwhelming to navigate through its menu and functions but with a little bit of research there is nothing to worry about. I also use it as a webcam from streaming and it works the charm with the 4K video quality. Overall, a great camera for multiple purposes, I would recommend purchasing extra batteries.

I bought this camera for a videography project. I absolutely loved it !! I wish I got a better lenses, but even with a cheep lense it function extremly well. Both photo and video quality came out so well. Super easy to use!!
