This camera is amazing! Battery life is outstanding, thanks to the Z type battery, picture profiles are great when trying to get a specific look in your images or video. It takes stunning pictures and great videos, and there are so many different lenses to choose from native or 3rd party, the customization and possibilities are endless with this super compact light weight camera, the flip up screen is very handy in getting any angle or selfy shots, there are a ton of 3rd party accessories that work great with this camera. Highly recommend

I had a a6000 and it was fine but this new camera is much better and has better battery life.. I I bought just the body and my other kit lenses work great with it. I just bought the 10-18 mm wide angle lense and I get really nice real estate photos. It does don’t have an internal flash but I use the small Sony flash and works well together.

Great camera, autofocus is snappy and the IBIS keeps my video smooth! Flip-up screen is actually better in vlog more than flip-out since my eyes look like they’re looking at the lens instead of off to the side. I’m using it mostly as a top-down camera for my live streaming setup, paired with the Sigma 16mm 1.4 the image is fantastic!

I mainly shoot video and previously owned the A7III. I had issues with the A7III's recording limit of 30 minutes, and constant over heating. The a6600 fixes both of these issues and will basically film forever if you have enough battery power and storage. I also love the flippy screen and with a cheapo mic-relocator it's essentially the perfect form factor. The Z-battery lasts a really long time in this camera, welcome addition! HOWEVER! The rolling shutter on this camera is horrendous. You simply cannot hand hold a shot without it being jarring and nauseating to watch. Even Gimbal shots can be weird and jello like. Basically, if you're locked off on a tripod most of the time this is a great camera.

We recently took a trip to Smoky Mountains to see the fall colors. I left my a7iii at home and took my a6600. I love this camera! I was able to get beautiful images of the mountains and waterfalls and it didn't break my neck and back carrying it while hiking. I used the 16-55 2.8 and they make a great combination!

6600 has been a great vlogging cam to start off with. its auto focus isn't as great to me as the zve-10 but its pretty fast just make sure your lighting is accurate. overall great camera

This is a huge upgrade from my A6500. I've been using my existing lenses from my previous bodies and I'd say that this is a well worth it upgrade in photo, video, and battery life. The battery is now changed to the one that's used in the A7 line. I'm able to shoot photos (and a handful of videos) all day and only use up 10% of the battery!

I’ve got my interest back in taking pictures and videos when I came to Southwest Florida because there are lots of beautiful sceneries and wild animals here. I was looking for a great camera and a bidget friendly one. After my reaearch, the best option is Sony a6600 and Ive chosen the right one. The camera is very user friendly and easy to operate that allows me to take good pictures and videos. Thanks Sony! I highly recommend this camera!

So far i have had it for 1 week now and all i can say is that this camera is amazing. Almost all the capabilities as a a7r3-4 but with out the full frame weight. Very light and compact camera, nice grip and overall great performance.

Oh, the journey I have had with this camera. When I was using the old a6000, I found myself wanting more in terms of autofocus, and the 2nd generation cameras in the a6000 (meaning the a6100, a6400, and a6600) line all had the improved tracking autofocus and tap to touch focus, and although very much so more expensive then the lower models, the a6600 was well worth it. The game changer between it and the lower models was the battery. While the 6100 and 6400 both used the same batteries as the 6000, the 6600 used the same battery as the larger a7 series, and boy did it make a difference. At first it just seemed like a nice bonus, but in practice it totally changed my workflow. Before, if I went out for a 1-2 hour photo walk, I would immediately plug my camera in knowing I would need a charge for my next session. With this, I can charge it once a week or so. I honestly don’t even think about charging it. It also provides an ergonomic benefit in that they needed to mold a larger grip to accommodate the battery, and now you always have a firm grasp whereas the lower end models were a little slipperier. The a6600 also has a ton of custom buttons. You can map whatever functions you want to it, making the often maligned Sony menu invisible. For hobbyists, this camera is perfect. For professionals, it can serve as a solid backup camera. Only reason it may not serve as a great camera for pros is it only has a single SD Card slot, so if that card fails, you don’t have a second slot that automatically takes over or has been backing up the first one. But if your budget is tight, then this will be a great way to get your business off the ground until you can update.

I bought the previous model, the A6500 about 3 years ago. It was one of my favorite cameras I ever owned. More recently, I bought the A7 III to complement my A6500. My lineup of lenses includes a variety of both full frame and APS-C lenses. Even though I was often using the full frame camera, more than the APS-C camera, I didn't want to completely drop the APS-C line since I have so many lenses for it. But this camera gave me exactly what I wanted-- upgraded specs, a flipping screen and the same battery as my A7 III. That helped me consolidate into an easy-to-carry bag, etc. And I must say, using this camera feels exactly the same as using the full frame, except it's like I get a free 50% zoom on all my lenses. This is a great camera and I'm happy with my purchase.

Still learning how to make the most out of all it has to offer every day. Quality is amazing. Personally it is a perfect size and feels great with the grip. The larger battery I believe cause it to be a bit bigger than the 6400. Larger battery is an obvious plus. The 5-axis stabilization sensor you get in the 6600 does make a difference for sure. Eye AF for video on the 6600 is very cool even though the 6400 has the face detection. Like the upgraded technology. The headphone output is super nice, Have to love it. Overall it was a no brainer for me to go with this 6600. I am very happy with this and highly recommend

While I probably bought this TOO soon after the A6500 last year I was TOTALLY impressed with the First time using the A6600. I mounted both cameras side-by-side on a Monopod to see differences of quality ease and battery. I purposely did NOT preset anything until I got to the Location I wanted to take photos. That said, Iafter only charging battery to 100% and installing SD Card. After about a 5-10 minute qucik adjustments I set off to shoot. Totally impressed with the view finder and screen. Wow! I would either shoot Full Auto or in Aperature or Shutter depending whether I needed fast shutter or not. Truly much better and I didn't even set up the Eye Focus and would have set it up for animals since I was at The Living Desert. A Zebra ran across behind some tree branches and it maintained focus of Zebra without so much as a flinch. WOW! Again! The ULTIMATE positive was Battery Life. By habit I have already ordered two extra batteries and external charger for both convenience and I don't like using the Camera to charge always felt it wass less strain and usage of camera unneccessarily. After over a hundred photos and an hour and half shotting I was at 91% battery. I shot 358 photos and almost 5 hours later I was at 65% . Totally in AWE! I am hoping this is not a Premature 5 Star because I usually Rate after more than one useage and over a month of having something I rate. Taking advantage of a $200 discount as new Sony product that is rare, I paid the same for my a6500 last year body only since I have the lenses I want already. I will post an Update after a few more shootings the next month or so.

Great first camera. Got this on sale. Not all the features as the Sony A6700 but great first option at the price. Have really enjoyed learning how to use.
