Almost Perfect - Rolling shutter is awful.
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5I mainly shoot video and previously owned the A7III. I had issues with the A7III's recording limit of 30 minutes, and constant over heating. The a6600 fixes both of these issues and will basically film forever if you have enough battery power and storage. I also love the flippy screen and with a cheapo mic-relocator it's essentially the perfect form factor. The Z-battery lasts a really long time in this camera, welcome addition! HOWEVER! The rolling shutter on this camera is horrendous. You simply cannot hand hold a shot without it being jarring and nauseating to watch. Even Gimbal shots can be weird and jello like. Basically, if you're locked off on a tripod most of the time this is a great camera.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Battery, Picture qualityThis camera is amazing! Battery life is outstanding, thanks to the Z type battery, picture profiles are great when trying to get a specific look in your images or video. It takes stunning pictures and great videos, and there are so many different lenses to choose from native or 3rd party, the customization and possibilities are endless with this super compact light weight camera, the flip up screen is very handy in getting any angle or selfy shots, there are a ton of 3rd party accessories that work great with this camera. Highly recommend

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Picture qualityWe recently took a trip to Smoky Mountains to see the fall colors. I left my a7iii at home and took my a6600. I love this camera! I was able to get beautiful images of the mountains and waterfalls and it didn't break my neck and back carrying it while hiking. I used the 16-55 2.8 and they make a great combination!

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Pros mentioned:Picture qualityI had a a6000 and it was fine but this new camera is much better and has better battery life.. I I bought just the body and my other kit lenses work great with it. I just bought the 10-18 mm wide angle lense and I get really nice real estate photos. It does don’t have an internal flash but I use the small Sony flash and works well together.

Perfect Travel Companion
|Posted .Owned for 10 months when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I have owned the Sony a6600 for a little over a month now. I was contemplating between this or the a7iii. I was weighing the pro's and con's for both devices, I spoke to the BestBuy specialists, and watched numerous youtube videos, and came to the conclusion that the Sony a6600 was the right choice for me. The deciding factor for me was the price/use. How it came to that was actually by the BestBuy associate. How and when I use my camera is for family events and adventures; which consist of portraits and some action photography because of my 2-year-old son's energy :) The Sony a6600 has been awesome. I upgraded from the Sony a6400 because of IBIS. I know that article after article will tell you that IBIS does not play a part in photography but I don't know if I am different but I do see a difference in the clarity of my shots compared with my Sony a6400. Also, the a6600 feels more premium than the a6400. The buttons are easier to use, the layout is slightly different because of the bigger grip, and when paired with the G-Master 16-55 mm the combo works very amazingly. I know that the G-Master and the a6600 cost almost the same as the a7iii paired with the Tamron 28-75, but the more I thought about it, it was like comparing the number 1 setup in the APS-C to the number 2 in full-frame, and for the money, I was spending I really wanted something that offered the most for my money. Go Big or Go Home.

Great with anamorphics and for video and photos
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Recently made a switch from using Canon DSLR cameras then finally switching over to Sony starting with this a6600. I made the switch since Canon requires alot of different adapters to use different lenses and I eventually got myself an Anamaorphic lens, only bad thing was the lens was not supported by any Canon cameras and the lens adapter i needed costed a fortune in order to use all lens functions from IS and to autofocus, etc. Images are sharp, color science is still pretty good even among newer cameras with the latest color science, im a big video type of person so using this with gimbals, anamorphic lenses, mics and even the Ninja V screen is definitely an amazing setup for doing videos and plus you look more legit with it all hahha, overall very satisfied. Only thing I have against it is getting used to Sony menus after being used to Canon menus, will be a mess at first but its not impossible.

I really like this camera
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I bought the previous model, the A6500 about 3 years ago. It was one of my favorite cameras I ever owned. More recently, I bought the A7 III to complement my A6500. My lineup of lenses includes a variety of both full frame and APS-C lenses. Even though I was often using the full frame camera, more than the APS-C camera, I didn't want to completely drop the APS-C line since I have so many lenses for it. But this camera gave me exactly what I wanted-- upgraded specs, a flipping screen and the same battery as my A7 III. That helped me consolidate into an easy-to-carry bag, etc. And I must say, using this camera feels exactly the same as using the full frame, except it's like I get a free 50% zoom on all my lenses. This is a great camera and I'm happy with my purchase.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This is a great camera. Did lot of research before choosing this one. Bigger grip than the others in the A6* series. Also has inbuilt stabilization, which will help me spend less on the non-stabilized lenses. The Eye Tracking which comes standard is considered better than the other brands.

Expensive DSLR, is it worth it?
|Posted .Owned for 6 months when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5I paid around $1200 plus tax brand new for this DSLR. I got this primarily for video and due to 4k quality. Overall it took me a while to learn all the functionalities of this camera...which I have to revisit from time to time. I wish there was a FLASH? Guess they took that out on this model. I got the 16mm sony lens for video. It is cheap and works great. However, I would NOT RECOMMEND that lens for picture taking. It's worse than my sony camera from 10+ years ago. LOL I plan on buying more lenses to use with this camera in the future.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I recently invested in the A6600 myself and have been very happy with it. It’s nice and small, great for traveling. Has a flip up screen if you are interested in doing vlogging. You also save a ton of money on the lenses as it’s a APS-C camera. I currently use the Sigma 16mm and 30mm and the quality and sharpness has been stunning.
