This is a no brainier. If you want an amazing entry level camera look no further. Do not get any other crop sensor camera.

A perfect camera if you’re a hobbyist photographer or videographer. You don’t need a fullframe unless you’re a professional.

The Sony a6700 is a standout APS-C mirrorless camera, blending professional-level features with a portable design. Upon opening the box I saw the manual, camera was very dusty and all the other stuff that came with it looked used. Nothing was wrapped or looked new. I went to best buy to return and exchange for a camera that was not open box and the associates said I had to ship it back. I will be returning and purchase the a6700 from B&H instead.

The camera is great. Great quality photo and video. Its not the best apsc in terms of specs. Fuji offers much better resolution, and video capabilities. But, its an all around good camera. No negatives that ive noticed. As a professional award winning photographer and filmmaker whose made a feature film, I'd recommend this as a great travel camera, or back up b cam, especially if you use sony full frame cameras, as the lens mount is the same. At its price it isnt fair to compare it to more expensive, premium apsc cameras. And having said that it doesn't punch above its class. I'd argue that sony typically overcharges for their offerings. But, value can be found in the overall system. Its just great for what it is. If your looking for more than this offers, check out fuji xh2/2s... they cost more. But, they are absolute beasts. I use an XH2 professionally. 40mp, 8k pro res internal, and I've never had issues. Purchased this as a travel camera for times i dont want to carry more expensive and larger gear.

Camera came out of box with a completely dead battery. After a day of charging using different chargers and cables, the camera still is showing a ‘battery exhausted’ error. Either the camera and or the battery seems defective

the Sony A6700 has been amazing. This is everything that i was looking as a B Camera. I wanted a compact and portable. Now i take it everywhere from my photoshoot to just walking around just taking random pictures. The autofocus is super fast, the image quality is sharp, and it’s so lightweight that I can take it anywhere. For both photos and video, it really gives me pro-level results.

This is a great camera. Bought this when it was time to upgrade from my basic Canon DSLR from 2018, and it's been a game changer. The built-in AI is great at detecting what you're taking a picture of, whether it's movement, low-light conditions, or portraits. Unless you want to, there's no need to mess with aperture, ISO, or shutter speed as the AI will make setting changes as needed to create a beautiful picture. It's lightweight too! I paired this with a Sigma 18-50mm lens from Amazon, and have been very happy with the results. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Upgraded to the a6700 from my older Sony body, and I’m blown away. The autofocus is insanely fast — it locks onto eyes (human or animal) instantly, even in low light, and tracks them perfectly. The new AI-based subject recognition is a huge step forward for both photo and video work. Image quality is top-notch with amazing dynamic range, and the colors straight out of camera look fantastic. The ergonomics are improved from previous models — it feels great in the hand, and the articulating screen is perfect for vlogging or tricky angles. Paired with my Tamron 17-70 f/2.8, it’s a killer setup for travel, events, and content creation. The 4K 120fps video and advanced stabilization give my footage a smooth, professional feel, all in a package small enough to carry all day. If you want one camera that can truly do it all, the a6700 delivers.

I'm coming from an old SLT A77ii and I hadn't really used it in a number of years. The A6700 is a powerhouse of a camera in terms of features: Weather sealed, IBIS, up to 4k120 video, AI focus and subject recognition, support for picture profiles, etc. etc., and a great number of lenses to choose from (Sony, Sigma, Tamron, Viltrox, etc). I purchased for an upcoming African safari trip and I've had some time to re-acquaint myself with photography. Currently have the Viltrox 27mm f1.2 lens and the Sigma 17-35mm f1.8 lens and photos come out great with both. Will be rending a 70-350mm Sony G lens for the trip. I was tempted by fujifilm cameras as well b/c of the film simulations, but you can kind of emulate that on Sony cameras as well if you want. Anyway, happy with the camera so far - no issues or bugs. Best APSC camera Sony makes.

Best camera I have ever owned! State of the art autofocus, scene recognition, tracking options. etc. Solid build, better battery life, and functional touch screen to access settings.

Excellent camera that meets and exceeds all of my expectations. The image and video quality is excellent, the settings are very easy to navigate, it is incredibly fast, weather proofing is tested and solid, and it's pretty lightweight. This will likely be one of the best hybrid cameras on the market for a long time

A great sensor with sensible handling of highlights and very pleasant colors. All the controls you’ll need, with subtle shutter sound and a broad selection of lenses. All this in a small package with with very good battery life. Can’t ask for more!

I had this for a few weeks now and I have no regrets. With all the features that it has at this price? Nothing can beat it. I don’t need to tell you the differences between aps-c and full frame because you already know. I was outside taking 4K60 and 4K120 videos of cars drifting, i never saw the overheat icon come up. Given that i recorded 4K60 for less than an hour and less than 2 mins of 4K120 every time, it doesn’t matter, that’s all you’re going to use it in the real world anyways. And i had 50% battery left when I was done. Whew! Glas i waited and upgraded from the a6100

This is a great camera at a pretty affordable price. Right out the box it was easy to use and with the lens I bought for it, my pictures have been coming out amazing.

I'm still getting used to this camera. It's amazing. I will not go into any technical details here, you can find it somewhere else. Amazing are photo and video quality, new menu, ease of use, battery life, AI, 4K slow motion video, etc. I own alpha 6600. Alpha 6700 is a huge step forward. If you are into serious photography and/or video, this camera is for you.

Great camera. Light and portable, high quality pictures, and future proof with all the Sony products coming out. Great investment.

It's an ok camera. I like it. There isn't much to complain about. Except that out of the box time to calibrate everything to a specific individual preference is tedious. It's the same way though for every camera manufacturer. Touching a small screen, or pushing the buttons to navigate the menus could be improved. None of that really matters to the camera itself. Sony has I think the best AI integrated autofocus technology on the market. Every shot, if video, or still runs through this AI technology, and really does help create in-focus stills and video. I'd recommend it for a lot of people because of this. You can turn this feature off. Totally ignore it. But for the most part in everyday use, you'd probably want it left on. Out of focus stills or video is the most disappointing thing to me, it's a total waste of time. I think the strength of the camera is all the technology they packed into it to aid in helping the user, focus on the content rather than operating the camera. I think that's a great leap for creators, film makers, photographers or anyone looking for a good semi-professional starter camera.

First of all, I have used this camera in 100 degrees and haven't experienced any overheating issues. It excels so much in photography and video. I used to use the Sony A6400 and still do, but the A6700 has been a game changer in my work, offering 10-bit colors and longer battery life alone.
