It does everything that I could ask for. A great hybrid camera. 10fps and 4k with great autofocus, especially with great battery life and a full frame sensor. The greatest thing is that you could adapt your lens with great results. It's a win, win.

I bought the Sony Alpha A7 III after doing a lot of research. I wanted a full-frame mirrorless camera but I wasn’t yet prepared to invest in an a7R or the newer A7C. When I found a deal on a competitor’s website and BestBuy matched the price, I knew I had to take the leap. For someone with basic knowledge of photography, the A7 III has been easy to use and very accessible. At the same time, it rewards learning and practice. I have been so impressed with the quality of the pictures that have come out of the camera, and I’m excited to experiment with videos soon. The camera isn’t nearly as big as I thought it would be. It’s almost dwarfed by the massive Sigma 24–70mm lens that I bought to go with it. Overall, if you are a novice or beginner photographer, the A7 III is still a great choice.

I've been using Sony Cybershots for many years and just upgraded to the a7iii. And what a jump that was. The a7iii menu system is super dense and can seem overwhelming at first, but the level of condigurability is typical for Sony.
The autofocus is crazy fast, and just recently Sony released animal-eye detection in a firmware update, so now taking perfect photos of your cats and dogs is so much easier. In addition, with that update, the long elusive time lapse function has returned to the a series.
The a7iii is a powerful tool in a small mirrorless design. It's relatively small compared to dslrs, so much so that others have said it's too small to grip. But it's perfect for me, because I've got small hands!
All in all, I'm so happy with this upgrade.

Great camera and currently at a price that is friendlier to newer/intermediate photographers. As someone who shoots with an A7IV and was looking for a second body, the difference in functions between this and the A7IV was much larger than I expected, so I would prefer to spend the extra money on the A7IV again

Improved Auto Focus over the M2

I got this as an upgrade to the A7 ii and is a definite improvement. Bigger battery means much more use between charges. Much better autofocusing. Two memory slots although I only use one of them so far. The M3 is a tad heavier but still feels nice in the hands. I also shoot stars at night and find that the M3 is easier to manually focus on stars -- many more stars are visible in the monitor than were seen with the M2. Maybe due to a better sensor? Maybe due to a better monitor? Focus Peaking, on both the M2 and M3, is a great feature that I used a lot when in manual focus mode.

This was an upgrade for me from the SonyA7ii, which I had used for several years, so I am very familiar with the Sony menu, etc. I am mainly a stills shooter with only some video. The improvements over the A7ii, such as the vastly improved AF, faster fps rate, touch screen & battery life are great. I already had Sony full-frame lenses to use that I love. So far, my experience with the A7iii has been very enjoyable. Highly recommend! Great service with my purchase at Best Buy,

This is a great camera that’s easy to use. Takes high quality photos and great low light videos. I ended up getting this one because after 3 years my a7s2 had a malfunction with the sd card slot and the insurance had run out by then. Hopefully this one last a lot longer because without insurance these Sony Cameras are expensive to fix and Best Buy won’t allow you to extend your warranty after it’s up.

I love this camera. I love it for photos and video. I love it for everything it does. 2 SD card slots with 1 slot being SII speeds which is amazing. It does beautiful photos and beautful video and I haven't had the first problem. This camera is super worth it. I was going to get a sony a6500 but for the price this camera is worth stepping up. It's not just a basic model it's fantastic and fully professional grade. If someone is looking for their first camera and can spend some money or a seasoned pro wanting another camera body then GET THIS! .....unless you want the more expensive version that does 42MP files. I'm happy with it and I love it and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Have been wanting a full frame mirrorless camera for a while. Wanting a bit lighter system than the pro Nikons that I have been using for years. After doing tons of research I went with Sony and have been very pleased with the performance of the camera so far. The menu system is a beast and still figuring it out. Once that is mastered and the camera is set up to my liking I think it will be great. I love the feel of the camera in my hand and it has produced some beautiful images. Super responsive and tack sharp photos. Very pleased so far and excited to get more lenses!

Fast full-frame camera. Use it for sports photography paired with a 70-20mm 2.8 lens. Upgraded from a Z50. Love the 50, but this full frames gives sharper images (gathers more light).
Battery life is excellent.

Great camera with some flaws. No Flippy screen or touch. Menu sucks. Grip could be better. But no camera under $2000 can come close to this. The Auto focus on this camera makes forget about my minor complaints. I highly recommend this camera.

I've been using my camera for 2 months now, and even took it on my trip to Hawaii. This full frame camera is packed with power (I love the battery life--one pack for the day) and the body is strong enough to withstand my travel in the rainforests of Hawaii. Photo quality is beautiful...and when it comes to low light, this camera works so well. I basically have the power of the A7Riii but for a cheaper price and less megapixels.

A73 is just awesome!!!
Initially I wanted to buy a7r3!!! But at looking at the features of A73! I just went it and grabbed it!!! Now it realize that I diff the right thing!!! It is a very nice camera with tons of features! Most of the features are use friendly and it dint take me time for a transition from Nikon to Sony !! I have been using with my G master 24-70 2.8 and Sony 85 1.8!!!!
Both are exceptional piece of lens !!!!
Any new buyers just go for it!! You will love it!!

To start off, I want to give this camera 5 stars based off performance but there are little quirks that keep from being so. The menu system is a little bit complicated to find small changes you want to make. Thankfully they have a function in the menu that allows you to customize the important features for quick customization, in addition to the customizable buttons the camera has. Mainly though, my biggest gripe is the lack of a full articulating screen on the back. I wish Sony would design the screens in mind for bloggers like canon does. Having it flip upside down isn’t enough for those who use a microphone. The autofocus for facial recognition is fantastic so there is a work around. I want to give this a 4.5 but it’s not possible on this forum. The camera is a great bargain for the cost.
