Exactly what I was looking for in a hybrid camera with the features of much higher priced models. Have been using it for everything from Astrophotography to portrait work and it's been a pretty painless experience.

If you coming from the A7iii, I think it is an excellent upgrade. The auto focus itself is worth it. Wether if you are shooting video or stills, it just grab on the subject without fail even if you are shooting at f1.2. If you are upgrading from the a6000's it's a no brainer.

Upgrading from an A7III. Using it for real estate photography. Love the upgraded menu system and resolution. Photos are sharper and love having more megapixels, which helps with cropping. Quieter shutter, larger viewfinder. The flip out screen is awesome and comes in handy when shooting vertical. My only cons are battery life. Definitely took a hit in that department. Other than that the camera is perfect and I plan to put it to work for years to come

I was torn between getting a canon or Sony camera body, but I am so happy I went with Sony. This camera body is easy to hold (my hands are very small) and fits perfectly for my everyday walk around town bags.

Love the camera. Definitely a phenomenal upgrade from the sony a7iii. Better and quicker autofocus, love the screen being able to swivel which makes a huge difference when holding the camera in different angles.

I’ve been using this camera for about a month now, and I’ve encountered a couple of issues. The most significant one is that the viewfinder doesn’t turn on. I found a workaround by closing the screen and moving the lenses, which seems to resolve the problem. Another issue is that the camera turns off when I’m outside. I’m not sure if it’s due to overheating, but I doubt it since I don’t use the camera for more than 10 minutes at a time. However, these issues don’t usually occur, but I’m concerned that they might happen during a work shoot. Despite these problems, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed using this camera. I understand why this camera is highly recommended. It takes great pictures and video, and everything is straightforward. If you’re unsure whether you prefer video or photography, this camera offers a great all-around solution.

Upgraded from a7iii, the jump to 30 MP was nice. Video footage looks like a cinema camera when shot in s-log3. Truly no better hybrid camera out there right now, even the Sony A1. Check me out on Instagram @orozco.media!

Sony has really bat it out of the park with this one! They improved on every single aspect of the a7III and this even rivals what the a7sIII is capable of. I chose the a7IV over the a7sIII because of it's versatility. It has a good mid-range sensor with a higher pixel count than the a7sIII, which makes it good for taking photos. It also has all the great cinema-grade features capable of creating cinematic content and indie films. On top of that, the addition of the new articulating screen and the ability to connect to a computer without a capture card really helps make this a one-man video producer's dream come true!

Absolutely game changing after having the a6100. I instantly saw a difference in my photos while still using the same lenses! I am so happy with it.

Excellent camera if you are doing portraits but for wildlife it does not have enough frames per second. Overall, I would say it’s valuable for the right person.
