This is my first camera and I’m really enjoying the Sony A7V. The picture quality looks great, photos are sharp, and the autofocus works really well. It feels good in the hand and isn’t hard to use once you start shooting. The flip screen is nice and overall the camera just feels reliable. I’m happy with it and glad I went with the A7V.

I’ve been using the Sony A7V for the past few weeks, and overall, it has been an impressive experience. As someone who enjoys both photography and videography, this camera delivers excellent versatility for a wide range of shooting scenarios. From the moment I started using the A7V, I noticed how comfortable it feels in hand — the ergonomic grip and intuitive controls make long shooting sessions much easier. The full-frame sensor produces sharp, detailed images with vibrant colors and great dynamic range, even in challenging lighting conditions. I also appreciate the eye-tracking autofocus, which consistently keeps subjects in focus whether I’m shooting portraits or action shots. Video performance is another strong point. The camera records smooth 4K footage with minimal noise, and the in-body image stabilization helps me get steady shots without additional gear. I like that the menu system is relatively easy to navigate compared to earlier Sony models, and the customizable buttons let me tailor the camera to my workflow. There are a few minor downsides — the battery life could be better during extended shoots, and the menu system still takes a bit of time to fully master. However, these are small trade-offs given the overall performance and image quality. the Sony A7V is a powerful and flexible camera that has elevated my photography and video work. I’d recommend it to enthusiasts and content creators looking for a reliable full-frame hybrid camera.

I’m really thrilled with this camera. It’s lightning fast, the AI autofocus is very impressive, performs beautifully in low light, and is a phenomenal all-rounder for video, sports, wildlife, and general photography. The body size is also relatively nice and compact for what it delivers. I came from the a7cii and this was an upgrade in every conceivable way, aside from perhaps size (although the difference is negligible). The biggest quality of life upgrade is the partially stacked sensor, which delivers a vast improvement for high speed shooting.

This A7M5 has fast AI focus, not that light but ok if you want to get great photos or shoot videos.

Purchased to replaced my A7IV after nearly 250k shutters. Great AF as always, grip feels great and love the addition of A7RV multi-angular screen. Wish the viewfinder was better/brighter + fingers crosse that Sony provides Opengate in an update. Overall - very happy with this purchase.

Sony A7V is a revolution camera that leaps from A7IV, it has improved from its predecessor impressively in many areas such as long 630 shots battery life, Zero Blackout Viewfinder, Pre-Shooting Buffer, 30 fps electronic Shutter, and many others. This helps to improve outdoor photography. The Contrast Detection and Phase Detection of autofocus systems make Rapid autofocus with the new partially stacked sensor and Bionz XR 2 processor bring improved low-light performance make this camera a great all-round full-frame camera that many people are waiting for including the pros. I highly recommend.

I love this camera. AF is ver good and picture quality at high ISO beats my A7m3. I used it for indoor swimming sports and I can’t complain with the results. Highly recommended if you are looking to use it for sport photography. I have not tested video yet.

The A7V is a great upgrade to prior versions of the A7# line for bird/wildlife/sports photographers. A speedier processor for AI focus capabilities. Improved 33mp sensor with a wider dynamic range. Faster electronic shutter of 30 FPS. Most importantly a tremendous speed increase in chip readout. While not as fast as the global shutter on the A1 series, it is a huge improvement drastically decrease rolling shutter effect when photographing fast moving objects. If you are looking for some of the high end features found on Sony cameras thousand dollars more, this model will more than suit your needs. Plus the shutter actuation count (rated shutter life) in this model is twice that of prior models.

I was really excited to pull the trigger on the Sony a7 V because everything I’d read about the image quality, autofocus, and speed sounded legit — and on the whole that part delivered exactly what the hype said: crisp 33 MP stills, fast subject tracking, and a solid all-around performance for photo/video work. It feels well-built in hand and handles everyday shooting really nicely, even in low light.  But the deal-breaker for me was workflow: out of the box, Photoshop wouldn’t recognize the RAW files I was shooting, which was a huge pain since that’s my main editing tool. I tried updating everything and even different import settings, but no dice — meaning I had to return it instead of keeping it in my kit. If you already use software with good Sony RAW support (or can convert files easily), this still might be a great camera, but for my editing workflow it just didn’t click.

This is my first digital full frame camera and I don’t think I could be any happier! It gives me a little bit of the best of both worlds and for me that was a huge deal considering that i’m not quite sure if I prefer photography or videography.

This one is the best camera for everyone, if you are a photographer or filmmaker, believe me this one is the best election

This camera a huge upgrade in sony’s hybrid camera line and the greatest in new feutures as the pre capture ,4K 60 fps and a lot !

The Sony A7V is a certified powerhouse that nails the sweet spot between pro-level resolution and lightning-fast AI tracking, making it an absolute joy for both stills and video. The image quality and color science are top-tier, yet the experience isn't without its quirks; specifically, the camera can be surprisingly stubborn in Auto Mode, occasionally refusing to trip the shutter until you manually intervene with a tap on the touchscreen to confirm focus. While this "Auto-Mode hesitation" can be a bit of a flow-killer during fast-paced shooting, the A7V remains an unbeatable all-rounder that rewards you with stunning results—provided you don't mind giving the screen a little poke every now and then to keep the momentum going.
