I upgraded from the Sony A7 IV, and the improvements are noticeable right away. The autofocus is incredibly fast and accurate, especially with eye and subject tracking. The partially stacked sensor makes the camera feel much more responsive, and the rolling shutter is significantly reduced compared to previous models.

I upgraded from the a6700 which was a good camera as well. I had not idea what a difference in camera they are. The autofocus reads my mind. With precapture and 30fps black out it's hard to miss a shot. Phenomenal camera highly recommended.

Switching from the a7R III to the a7 V is a massive leap forward. Between the improved tracking, the burst rates, and the fully functional touchscreen, it's a whole new experience.

Originally had the Sony a7iv paired with the Sony 200-600 for wildlife. Decided to part with the a7iv and get the new a7v. Fantastic upgrade. 30fps raw, partially stacked senor to help lessen rolling shutter for birds in flight. Very pleased with this camera. I wish they would have eliminated the mechanical shutter and went fully stacked sensor and upped the megapixels to 45mp to fully compete with Nikons z8. Overall very happy with it.

Takes great picture and video, only thing is there is a ton to learn on how to use it. If you are going to shoot manual, in Auto it's easy to use.
