I recently had the chance to use the Sony A7C for my photography endeavors, and I must say it left quite an impression on me. As a photography enthusiast, here's my personal take on this compact full-frame mirrorless camera: Design & Build Quality: The A7C's design is simply fantastic. Its compact and lightweight body is a breath of fresh air, making it incredibly convenient for on-the-go photography. I was particularly impressed with its sturdiness and the premium feel of its build. The flip-out LCD screen adds flexibility to my shooting angles and is handy for vlogging or capturing creative shots. Image Quality: The A7C's 24.2-megapixel full-frame sensor delivers outstanding image quality. The colors are vibrant, and the dynamic range is impressive. This camera's ability to handle low-light conditions amazed me – it's a real low-light champ. Plus, the real-time Eye Autofocus ensures that my subjects are consistently sharp and well-focused, which is a game-changer for portrait photography. Performance: The A7C is no slouch in the performance department. Its rapid burst rate is a boon for capturing fast-moving subjects. Whether it's wildlife, sports, or street photography, the camera's responsiveness and accuracy were a joy to work with. The 5-axis in-body image stabilization works like magic, delivering clear, blur-free images even at slower shutter speeds. Video Capabilities: As someone who occasionally dabbles in videography, I found the 4K video quality to be impressive. The real-time Eye Autofocus is a feature I love, ensuring that my video subjects remain in focus. The camera's flexibility with various picture profiles and settings enhances the creative potential for video projects. User Interface and Connectivity: I admit, the menu system can be a bit overwhelming at first, but once you get accustomed to it, it offers a world of customization and options. I loved using the touchscreen LCD and electronic viewfinder for composing and reviewing shots. The camera's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity made it easy to transfer files and control the camera remotely with the Sony app. Battery Life: Here's where I have a minor gripe with the A7C. The smaller battery means you may need to carry spares for extended shoots. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something to keep in mind. In my personal experience, the Sony A7C is a remarkable camera that combines the power of full-frame photography with a compact, travel-friendly design. Whether you're a hobbyist or a professional, this camera has a lot to offer in terms of image quality, versatility, and convenience. While the battery life may require some planning, the overall experience I had with the A7C left me thoroughly impressed and eager to continue using it for my photography adventures.

You pretty much know all the pros and cons of this camera at this point after so many YT reviews. So I will be focusing on the actual experience I have, especially compare to A7III. First thing first, I have a relatively small hand and wearing glass. Below are my personal experience after playing with A7III and owning the A7C. --Handling is on point to me, even my pinky can fits onto the grip just fine. I can see the problem if you plan on using the GM lenses. --It is light, especially pairing with the kit lens. You WILL notice the weight different vs a7III w/ 28-70. --Yes, the EVF is small, but I can see the whole thing nice and clear with my glass on. I was having trouble seeing the whole EVF on the A7III. It was too big with a small eyecup so all the icons and settings on the edges were bury to me. --The 28-60 kit lens is very sharp! --No need to select focus points with real time tracking! --Almost every buttons are customizable, except menu, playback and shutter. --Flip screen is much more useful/fun than you think, even for stills. This camera is perfect if you want to travel light, pack light and mostly using a small lens. I wish there is a front dial and C1, C2 on the top plate, there is no reason not to have them on this camera. Other than that, I am very happy I picked this over a7III since size and weight are the reasons I interested in mirrorless in the first place. I highly recommend you play with both first before making the decision. They are very similar in spec but targeted at different group of people.

It's compact full-frame mirrorless camera that offers excellent image quality and reliable autofocus performance. Its lightweight design makes it ideal for travel and everyday use. I use it for travel photography so I love that. I’m still exploring its full range of features to unlock its complete potential. However, I have concern over how it was delivered. I paid full price and when it arrived the box was not sealed and there was a chip on the outer side. I had to travel overseas the very next day so didn't had the time to take it up with best buy. Was it a open box used camera?

Everything is fine except the blue tooth, the set up is not straight forward.

Great little camera for those looking to move up to a full frame from an APS-C. I was coming from the NEX line and really liked the compactness and weight of the APS-C cameras. I tried the A7III and honestly, it was too big and too heavy. I'm on the more petite side and it was uncomfortable to hold and use. I returned the A7III and splurged the extra couple hundred dollars for the A7C - best decision ever made. I'm mostly a kid sports photographer with some landscape and travel thrown in. The picture quality in the sports photos was far superior to what I was used to. With the tracking focus I was able to get more shots in focus. If looking to move up from an APS-C, give the A7C serious consideration.

Even though this camera is getting old, it still delivers very good photos. A7c is relatively fast. Light weight. Very good for traveling. Pairing this with Sony FE 50mm f1.4 GM delivery outstanding pictures quality.

As a beginner, it is the wisest decision to go with this first instead of the A7C ii. It has all the features that suits my need and for a camera that was released years ago, it is still so versatile! I’m very satisified with the outputs and for its discounted price, i am still able to get a good lens!

This is a great compact high res camera that takes wonderfull photos in 24 megapixel. It is much smaller and lighter than most other cameras in its class. Changing lenses is very simple and quick which is nice for in the field photography

I've had this camera for about a month, upgraded from a Sony a6000 and I'm loving everything about the new Sony a7c. The familiarity with the menus and functions paired with usage of the same smartphone apps has made the switch seamless for me. The image quality is phenomenal, this is my first full-frame camera due to my preference for small footprint designs and I am blown away. Can't wait to plan my next shoot with this little beast! I do wish there was a kit bundle with the 20mm f1.8 prime lens at the time I purchased, my kit includes the 28-60mm zoom which is good but I'll be upgrading the lens as soon as I can afford to.

Bought open box and it was just like knew, only issue was that it was missing the charging cable, but thankfully I had a spare one. The camera is one of the best I’ve used for photos and will soon use it for videos.

I am really enjoying learning how to use this camera, after coming from the iPhone photography world. The A7C has great versatility and many Sony lens options, and the compact size/weight is perfect for traveling or bringing it to the work environment when needed. The build quality is high and the placement of functions is well thought out -- it is comfortable to hold. I am looking forward to using it also for video recording.

When it comes to quality, you really cannot go wrong with this camera but one thing that is a little upsetting is that it does not include the newer alpha menu system. Also, additionally you cannot shoot above 60p 4K so if slowing down footage is your thing, you might want to look elsewhere. With those minor things aside, this such a good camera and the form factor is really the biggest selling point imo... Compact cams are getting better finally.

I've been using this nifty cam for a few days now and I must admit, zooming in to the pictures taken with this always comes as a surprise. It feels so much like an old point and shoot cam, that the final quality of the pictures is such a pleasant surprise. I'm still getting used to the limited controls on the cam, and customizing it to my needs. There are still some nikon controls that I miss at times which at times I find it hard to find - but I suppose that's just me getting used to a new camera system

I needed something lighter that my Nikon. This fits the bill and it is feature packed. It feels and handles like a pro cam. I really like it. Full-frame and mirrorless make this unit as smooth as butter. I have only taken a few pics, as I had a medical problem, but as I get back on my feet, I find this to be the cam for me. Light, but sturdy. Its compact and easy to carry, even with extra glass and accessories. It is pricey, but well worth it. I highly recommend.

Works well with manual control and a prime lens Trouble focusing on auto with kit lens. Proba ly would buy with the $200 50 mm prime onstead if could do it over, or better yet, the 35mm Sony 1.8 prime lens.

This is a great full frame camera for the price.. Really love the quality of image it takes once paired with a quality lens. The kit lens is good but not mind blowing .. The menu system is a little confusing but will get sue to.. Over all a great buy..

I’ve done a lot of research on this camera so I knew what I was getting. It was everything I needed! I’m a user of the A73 and wanted something with similar performance but smaller and lighter. The autofocus is much better on this. People complain about the ergonomics but I had the Sony a6000 for years and this feels similar and familiar to me. The lack of buttons don’t hinder me either. Once your ok with this the camera is amazing!!

So far I like this camera. It has a built in level which is nice. The color seems to be outstanding. I took some outdoor photos and they looked very professional. Now I need to figure out what all of the other buttons are for and really start digging in with this one. I like how you can email photos straight from the camera to your phone after downloading the edge app.

I’ve had this camera over a year and half now. And all I can say is “thee best camera I’ve ever owned”. I’ve recently been using it for recording my family podcast and it’s Amazing!

So far as a beginner photographer I am loving this camera. I also use it for video (YouTube) and it’s excellent—best quality. I’m still learning traditional photography but it’s been amazing nonetheless
