This camera is pretty amazing, I've had it for less than a week and I'm very happy with it. Have taken some amazing pictures already. It's great for both the beginner and the upcoming photographer. There's an intelligent-auto-mode for people who just need the camera to figure out everything for them, and then there are various other modes where you can manually set the aperture, ISO and shutter speed. I'm learning photography and I really appreciate having both modes available. The camera and any memory cards, lenses, etc, that you might want to buy, such as a telephoto lens, are on the more expensive side, but if you can afford it, it's worth every penny. The menus and options are extensive, catering to the more learned photographer, but a great way to learn digital photography. Compact and sturdy construction. Plus you can shoot 4k video in 24fps and 60 fps (cropped), which is great; or you can shoot in HD at higher framerates if desired. I plan to use it for video auditions and film production as well. I bought the camera and the $499 TAMRON 70-300 mm zoom lens and am having a blast. The pictures I've posted here are taken with the zoom lens, because it's working out so well.

The A7Cii comes equipped with some nice upgraded features from the original. Most notably, the 33mp sensor allows for excellent picture capture and the addition of 4k 60p - 10bit makes it a great option for video as well. Great camera in a small package.

Fantastic full frame compact camera. Just what I needed for travel. Picture quality is outstanding. Looking forward to purchasing a longer lens.

I needed something smaller than my Canon R6 to take on vacation and decided to downsize to this gem of a camera. It's MUCH lighter to carry and produces images that are of better quality IMO than my previous camera. Perfect for my needs and I couldn't be happier.

Absolutely wonderful camera. I would recommend this to anyone who is serious about photography and videography. A great alternative to the ZV-E1 for content creation, it is sturdier, and still has high ISO settings for shooting in a dimmer setting.

Excellent camera high-quality compact camera with 4K excellent

This camera has excellent battery life and checks every box for me, including 4k60 and a 33mp sensor. The body is also very light compared to other cameras, and the balance with larger lenses feels good. The new menu system is leaps ahead of the a7c, so if you’re debating between the two you should get this one.

I ordered a black unit, but Best Buy sent me a used silver one with a third-party camera battery. When I raised the issue, a Best Buy employee said they would charge a restocking fee despite it being their mistake. After escalating to a manager, they arranged for pickup from another location. I drove 45 mins each way, only to be told it was out of stock, even though the app showed three available. After more back-and-forth, I opted for home delivery, but once again, I received an open-box item. The package arrived wide open, missing manuals, and with the display flipped out. This was the worst buying experience I've had with Best Buy. Ticket Reference ID: 352064928.

Purchased brand new and received a used camera. Settings were already established and in Spanish. Camera strap was unraveled and a charger that usually doesn’t come with the A7CII brand new was included inside the box. I shipped it back and Best Buy still processed a restocking fee and am currently in a headache of a process trying to get a full refund. Honestly wouldn’t buy cameras from Best Buy as I see this is a common headache for other customers

I got a used camera... This is what the menu looks like when I turn it on. The box was clearly worn and the paperwork looked like it was jammed in the box. Plus there was literally nothing to protect it during shipping.

I’ve had the Sony A7iv for awhile and it’s been fantastic. I’ve always lusted after the size of A7c, but it was just too limited. The A7cii is near perfect with its 33mp sensor, additional dials/buttons, new AI/AF, improved LCD and EVF, LUT support, internal Timelapse, auto framing, new menu system, marker display for photos, etc., all while maintaining a compact and light form factor. It took me awhile to customize all the settings and dials because I was not able to import the A7iv settings into the A7cii. The buttons feel a bit different than the A7iv (less travel), and obviously the smaller body means the grip and feel is different. But this is what I wanted when I originally bought the A7iv, and I’m glad Sony finally delivered.

Love this camera. It is super light and easy to understand. Takes Amazing picture and videos. Definitely would recommend!

I recently purchased the Sony a7C II and have been very satisfied with the camera’s performance. The compact full-frame design was a key reason for my purchase, and the image quality has met my expectations in everyday use. Autofocus is fast and reliable, especially for still photography, and the camera performs well across different lighting conditions. Image quality is excellent, with good detail and consistent color output. The updated controls and handling are also an improvement over earlier compact Sony models. One drawback is the recent price increase, which makes the camera somewhat expensive compared to when it was first released. The reason is unclear, could be recent tarifs. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase and the capabilities the Sony a7C II offers. I need to say that it was a smooth buying experience from BestBuy...

So far I am enjoying this camera. I am camera newbie but with the auto mode I look a bit skilled. I primarily video my parrot using the 4k at 30fps and it's been perfect for the need. I bought the Sony memory card to go with it and so far I've filled it and dumped it 30 times at least and not a single hiccup. The bird autofocus is very good which keeps him in focus pretty well. I was using the FX3 prior to this doing 4k 60fps but the bird autofocus in this makes me look like a skilled photographer. The FX3 is a nice camera and when they add in the AI chip it'll be hard camera to beat but for now it's back in the bag and this is my go to. I also own the A7RV but this seems to have better low light performance so I find I'm reaching for the A7CII for most situations. It's also tiny for a full frame camera but for some reason I find it easy to grip even with big hands. I seem to like to have my index finger waving around in the air ready to push the next needed button so the remaining 3 fingers seem to grip it perfectly. The photos have also been fantastic and I don't find the viewfinder or screen lacking for my needs. Auto focus is doing the work so all I need to do is make sure the framing is right. I wear glasses and the view finder still works for a quick photo to let me know quite a bit of info, including if my photo will be framed how I want. Kind of expensive but will use both full frame and apsc e-mount lenses. It's a full frame camera though so you'll get your best image with full frame lenses, or so some say. I shoot a lot in apsc mode with full frame lenses for that extra bit of zoom.

This is a fantastic camera. I was worried about the not have a middle standard EVF but after one day of photos it was completely ok with it . This camera also is the C cam and gimbal cam for my production company. It has already done auto I interiors and b roll and wide shot work on a TV series . It’s a solid camera for both photography and video work.

Best option for a lightweight camera with excellent quality for both videos and photos. (It doesn’t compromise quality for either photos or videos!)

so far so good, this is a beast and should be relevant for many years to come, love the retro looks, the added controls and custimization options. just got an 85mm so can't wait to start some portraits!

Bit expensive bit excellent camera. I would have liked the lends to of have been incleded with the purchase. I also didnt like that a charging cable did not come with the camera.
