My first dslr camera. Went with the body only and got a prime lens instead of the kit. Very happy so far, so much better than a phone or point and shoot. Pics are crisp! Camera is not to bulky and great for someone that has no clue what they are doing. From what I have read this will grow with me as opposed to needing replacement

Love it! I get beautiful pictures from it. The screen and viewfinder combo helps when taken pictures in brightly lite areas.

I would consider myself a photo enthusiast and this camera is an excellent addition to my camera bag. I think the sony menu is easy to navigate and setting up the camera was super easy for me. Compared to a full blown DSLR, I believe this compact camera with a good prime lense will give it a run (in most situations)!!!

This is a great upgrade from the Sony NEX-5N that i was previously using. I am able to use all my existing e-mount lenses but now i get photos with higher resolution. The menu system is better and the addition of WiFi support makes it a snap to transfer photos to my iPhone or computer. Looking forward to using this camera for a long long time...lastly, the Silver version has a killer retro vibe.

I switched to Sony A6000 after using Canon 40D for almost 6 years. The camera is simply amazing. Not only it is lighter, it has superb 11 fps shooting, phase and contrast detection, great image quality, etc. Also all the canon lenses can be used with this camera, using an adaptor.

The Sony - Alpha A6000 Mirrorless Camera uses an APS-C sensor (smaller than "full frame") that has high resolution and captures wide dynamic range, though it suffers from the smaller sensor size and that means more noise at higher ISO levels... Practically speaking that means pictures taken at lower light will "strain" the sensor to gather light, and that may result in diminished image quality... That said, the image quality (IQ) of the camera is generally quite good to excellent, though you will encounter some noise at higher ISO levels. With the advent of the Sony 6300 and 6500, this camera body is a bit out of date, too. The never revisions of this camera are better in terms of sensor resolution, ISO levels, dynamic range, and buffer size for faster shooting. If I had to choose all over again, I would pay the extra for the 6300 (or 6500) and pass on this model.

I purchased this as an Open Box Special and I am really happy. The camera looks brand new and is great to shoot with since its a small mirror less SLR. The grip is great and the camera is easy to hold with one hand.

I bought this for my wife. She does product reviews so she needed a good camera. This works very well and it’s compact so she can tote it around easily. I did opt to buy the 50mm prime lens over the kit lens bc of the type of photographs she takes but you should still be ok if decide to upgrade to a different lens later on. I would recommend getting a prime lens sometime down the road to take full advantage of this camera.

I upgraded my camera from Canon T3i to Sony A6000 because of lots of favorable reviews on the internet. I never regret switching from Canon at all. This camera is speed demon, especially with multi focus area and continuous shooting mode. It also has great video feature; no comparison to Canon T3i for sure.

The automatic mode is great. It's very useful when you don't want to adjust any. It will automatically adjust for you. Once I tried to take pictures for identity, it automatically rendered a photo that leaves only head and white background. That's amazing!
