Sony has really made a terrific camera with full SLR features. Hesitant to make the switch? Well don't! There are many third-party lens adapters that work well with this camera. The autofocus may not work as well as their native systems but, shooting in manual is a real pleasure. Don't wait, get this camera!

all the sony items are so good ...but this sony a6000 is the best one.....

Love this camera! I'm glad that I chose this model over the A5300. It's the perfect camera for beginners and it's lightweight so you can take it anywhere! I ended up purchasing the body only and upgraded to a more versatile lens.

Best mirrorless camera. This is my 2nd a6000. User friendly, nice apps. Good for video, no 4k but no biggie, love taking videos with this camera.

I purchased the a6000 open box body only for $300 in store with a Sony 50mm open box for $107. The price was unbeatable. I took this camera to Banff and was able to capture stunning photographs. It is light and compact which made it pretty easy to take on hikes without coming in the way. I do regret not buying another wide-angle lens for the landscape though.

This camera is a replacement for My Nex-7 that was stolen. I love the size and the quality of the pictures. I wish there was an affordable zoom lens that lets in more light at far zoom than the one available. So I have only fixed 1.8 and 2.8 lenses.

Great camera body with outstanding performance. I would suggest getting a better lens however. The kit lens is good but does not push the camera to its fullest potential.

From excellent, colorful rich images to stunning video, this camera does it all. I can get incredible action shots with the gear shutters speeds or intimate close ups with soft backgrounds. The incredible sensitivity makes shooting indoors under low light easy. The multiple images at a time work wonders when trying to capture that perfect moment.

The A6000 takes great pictures. I did a good deal of reading to familiarize myself with available settings and features. There are great lenses available, though right now I have only purchased a prime lens. This camera has made photography fun. Not the latest, but still one of the greatest.

As a supplement to my Alpha 77ll, this mirrorless camera delivers great images and allows complete control in building your exposures. Video function is outstanding and also gives you control as needed. A good value and a starting point for possible step up to the 7 series cameras -MD

Good all around light-weight camera for beginners - I was looking for an entry level mirrorless camera with overall good function but not too expensive - I think this was definitely the best choice for price and function. Only overall drawbacks which are unappealing to me include that the camera is not weatherproof and you can not turn off the sound. I also purchased the 35mm 1.8 lens which pairs nicely with this.

Everything that I was looking for in a compact mirrorless interchangeable lens camera

I got this for my wife since she likes taking tons of photos of the kids. I figured that it would be an upgrade over her iPhone. She loves it but the only problem is that I ended up having to buy her a camera bag to go with it.

This is a great camera, but hopefully it will last longer than the previous one (older model of this same camera). It sometimes has trouble syncing up with the new lens too. Hopefully doesn't need to go in for repairs already...

I used the camera and a Sony telephoto lens and they worked well together. I still have to get used to it to get the most out of it, but so far I'm liking what it offers.

I bought this as an alternative to my old DSLR. I love how small and lightweight it is. I decided to skip the kit lens and bought a 50 mm lens. I love it so far. The image quality is great, I'm really impressed.
