Great camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent months researching cameras. I knew this would be a good one but wow am I pleased with its ability. It has settings to allow for a beginner and yet freedom to play with settings as well. I have used the Sony lenses and also an manual fast one from my 35mm days with great results. Highly recommend this camera.

Best camera for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this camera for my wife who used to work for Sony. This camera is the most versitile and easy to use. The complete package with the SD card, extra lens and camera bag made a wonderful gift that she enjoys on a weekly basis. She has an older Nikon and this camera is miles better and smaller and travels easily.

Fantastic Camera!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this camera for a planned trip (no longer going on) as my DLSR is too big for travel. While we haven't been able to use it for we wanted to, this camera has quickly become my new favorite. Easy to use, with fantastic quality and light weight!- I think I am officially a mirrorless camera gal! The only thing I would say is if you are looking to use the screen more for taking pictures, this one does not have an extensive range of motion, really only tilts up and down slightly. Otherwise the view finder is great and my preferred option.

Great camera great value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this camera because I want some for some work I do and because I enjoy photography as a hobby. I take a lot of action shots so a clear shot was important. This camera was half the price of the other one I was looking at and I'm just as happy. Takes amazing shots I can't wait to take more and improve!

Great camera for a beginner and pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing Camera!! First ever and can not be more happy. There's so many features that I haven't even scratch the surface with. Love how small it is and it's easier to carry around. Now I have to save up some more $$ so I can get more lenses!!!

Great value and quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easier to carry than my Nikon mirror full frame. Photo quality great. Lens options and availability very good. Very easy to operate both casual and more seasoned photogs. Starts up quick easy to get out and catch shot on time when those fleeting opportunities present themselves.

Sony Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first "mirror less" (kind of) camera. Easy use for beginners, but some features are a bit hard to use as far as manual settings go. Im old fashioned, so don't immediately get hurt on that last quip. my cameras regularly don't have digital screens--so it is kind of a novelty for now. Very durable and sturdy! Comfortable in hand! Good battery life! High Quality shots for a camera of this type and price! I really do love it. I use it more than any of my other digitals. It offers dslr shots (think like a Nikon d5200, but with a better auto) but without the bulk or price tag (good for us travelers). Do yourself a favor and buy a better strap than what it comes with though. That one will burn a hole through your neck (cheap nylon or some material) it's good for casual users who want a camera with features (but at the same time easy auto/point-and-shoot when feeling lazy) and for photo enthusiasts who don't want to lug around a big dslr and all the spare lenses. it's a jack of all trades camera.

Great size
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great for hiking or where weight matters. Great photos with all the options of a pro-camera (minus the full frame). Only knock is the display is not a touchscreen and doesn't rotate all way around for selfies like one of the lower Sony models. Otherwise its a great camera and I'm happy with my purchase.

Nothing but net!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What else can I say about this camera, other than: “It’s amazing!”. Truly, this camera, for such a small form factor, light weight, and extreme portability, performs at a level that is near professional, for an extremely great price! The body isn’t a metal alloy, like the more expensive Sony cameras, but, it is a very durable polymer body. It’s been through rough conditions with me and it’s still going strong. Sensor? Terrific! The Exmor sensors are my absolute favorites; the color rendition is very true to the scene, but it still lets the colors pop. This camera setup is from 2014, so the ISO performance is not on par with the current lineup, yet, it is a viable system for certain low light situations. Video? I can’t say enough about how much I love the features. As a hybrid shooter, moving from manual picture mode to video mode is quick and nearly seamless. This makes it easy for a one-man team, like me, to shoot entire events with one or two cameras. Having the option for shooting XAVC-S allows me more freedom when editing videos and doing color correction. The only thing that concerns me about shooting video with this camera is the fact that there is no MIC In and Headphone Out. It doesn’t give me the ability to use lavaliers or shotgun mics, so it limits me to external audio solutions. The file system that Sony uses to format the SD cards in the camera make it really fast to import pictures and videos into different folders because the camera automatically separates photo from video. Even the different video formats are in different folders, so shooting in AVCHD, XAVC-S, or MP4 doesn’t mean you’ll have mixed files in a single folder. The 18-50 mm kit lens might look cheap and flimsy (it is flimsy), it’s still the lens that I use most with this camera. The reason being is that the actual image quality is decent enough to be used in most productions and even paid gigs. Be careful banging the lens on anything because the retractable nature of the lens makes it very easy to get stuck with a dent on it. The lens is pretty wide, it’s about the equivalent of a 22 mm in full frame, which is really nice for taking landscape photography, and shooting video with manual focus. If you are thinking about upgrading from this lens, the next step up would be the 18-105 G Master because the image quality is better and it’s quieter when it zooms. But, I digress, this lens it’s been a workhorse for me, and it’s really affordable, in case you mess it up, making it my go to lens when venturing the outdoors in unknown conditions and terrains. In conclusion, this set-up is beyond good for beginners, intermediate shooters, and professionals alike. Its vast set of features set it far above from other mirrorless cameras and DSLRs in its price range and class. If you are considering getting any camera on a budget, this should be your number one choice.

New camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After speaking with the salesman about our wants and need for an easy to use camera, we decided on the Sony. We were so impressed with it that we bought a second one for our 17 year old daughter. It's uses are limitless and I can't wait to see what it can do. Pictures so far are beautiful.

Excellent compact camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of the images taken with this camera is superb. The size with the stock lens is the biggest bonus about it. If you're going to be sticking bulky lenses on it though you may want to look into the lower end of the full frame canons and Nikons as they'll have more lenses to choose from and give you more for your dollar, in my opinion. Still, if you get a good deal on this camera or place a high priority on compactness then this is an awesome camera.

Great camera; fast autofocus.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera has all of the qualities I was looking for. I have only owned it for a short time, but have been able to appreciate most of its stellar qualities. I have not ventured too far in the area of nocturnal flash photography. The image quality is excellent. Its compact size maximizes portability. To me i is superior to the NEX- 7 at 2/3 of the price. Highly recommended

Great for quick and awesome photos!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I typically have my big, bulky Canon 70D on my shoulder but recently was looking for a quick, easy to use camera. This one fit the bill. I love this camera. I don't intend to change lens' but love that I have the option if I want to. Quality of pictures is great! Love this camera.

Great light weight camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this camera as a light weight option so I didn’t have to carry my large SLR around while on vacation. I like the size and weight. Picture quality is far better than point and shoots. Also Sony offers a bunch of quality lenses and accessories.

So far, so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love that it’s the size of a point and shoot digital camera with the features of a dslr! I am still experimenting with thus camera but so far, soo good. I have noticed that it takes longer to auto focus, I also wish this camera had a touch screen. If you are having problems with the quality of your pictures, you probably didn’t choose the right sd card, or you haven’t changed it to jpeg or raw.

The best camera with an APS-C size CMOS sensor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use to shoot with the Nikon D7000, this baby is a lot faster & better camera over all! The new 24 megapixel 'Exmor APS HD' CMOS sensor has on-chip phase detection like NEX-6, but covers a much larger area of the frame, a better AF tracking, especially when shooting continuously.
