The camera offers everything a full size digital SLR has but with half the weight and size. I bought it as a package deal with the larger lense. Takes outstanding pictures and the controls are user friendly. It is a pretty high tech camera so I will have to buy a book and/or take a class at Paul's photos or somewhere else. I just started to play with it so I have a lot to learn but so far I have not found any negatives.

Probably the best image quality for the price, lens that comes with camera is lightweight and has a very wide angle, 16m, which yields fantastic landscape pictures. Landscape mode was easy to use - be sure to move the camera slowly in a straight line, and images were great.

I love this camera! I love taking pictures of my grandson's and pro hockey games. This camer has a fast and accurate auto focus! Stops the players without blurring them out. The picture quality is very good! Small, light easy camera to take with you anywhere you go!

This is a great camera, it's very small compared to a DSLR which uses the same sensor size. It also has many great features which take a while to learn but it's worth it. Definitely a great first camera for someone looking to take a step up from a basic point and shoot.

I have enjoyed this little camera. I am familiar with Sony mirror-less technology. I wanted a small camera as a back-up to my "big" camera & to have fun with. It is small, but packed with features. I like the wi-fi feature for uploading pictures to my phone & tablet.

Bought this camera for a family vacation after not having a camera for 10 years. Camera was easy to use and took great pictures. Has several functions and the ability that much more expensive cameras have.

I picked this camera after my old one died. Coming from a Canon 50D, there was a bit of a learning curve on the menu system. That aside, this is at least twice the camera. It’s lighter, smaller, faster and the light gathering is amazing.

I had an expensive camera that took blurry photos (my spouse says it was user error). At any rate, he got tired of my complaints and bought me this camera for Christmas. I haven't used it much, but the pros seem to be small body, decent images (so far) and fast continuous shooting. Negatives are that it is missing the touchscreen controls of less expensive models and battery life is quite low with power zoom lens.

I spent a great amount of time reviewing cameras that would be good for HD video and photos. There were a number of brands that stand out in the reviews considering the price point at <$700. This included the camera, lens, case, 64GB memory, extra battery and external charger. The core purpose was for substantially upgrading the on-line content in video above the level possible with a phone camera. Also wanted to be sure that the video and camera could handle low light conditions. There is no question in my mind that the HD video auto-focus even at low light is superior to any camera at this price point. This is based on professional photographers I know and on-line reviews. I wanted to have a reliable camera and the mirror-less type should have less issues with fewer moving parts (no mirror mechanical elements). I am a long time film camera photographer and this was my first digital camera. After a month of use this camera has fulfilled all my needs and more. The ease of use in auto mode is fantastic and no need to re-shoot any video content so far. I have recommended the Sony brand and the Alpha a6000 to many of my friends. I am also pleased with the ease of making my purchase through Best Buy on-line. Thanks and hope this is helpful to other people looking for a great, easy to use camera!

a great all in one camera thats pretty compact for its size not being too bulky at 24 megapixels, 11 fps, interchangeable lenses but no touch screen. if you want something above average this is an alternative and theres plenty to do with this camera.

I have a friend who is a professional photographer and he recommended this camera to me. Took some time to learn all the features but once I did they were very easy to access. I have had many cameras over the years but this is one of the best yet.

Amazing picture quality, plenty of lense options. Lots of setting to choose from, all around great camera for beginners to the experienced camera enthusiasts. Price is great aswell. Would recommend this product to anyone.

I bought the camera for my daughters graduation and my sons basketball games. I was very satisfied with the shots that I took from the camera. It was also very easy to use as a beginner.

I had been wanting a dslr camera for photographing my makeup artistry, as well as, capturing some great photos while on vacation. A sales associate recommended this mirrorless camera because I did not like the bulky-ness of the dslr's. I love this camera! The preset settings are so easy to use, and once you get a handle of the manual functions, you'll see the quick buttons are properly placed. Great quality, in a small package, that is light weight. Can't get any better.

I used it on a trip to San Miguel De Allende and it took some of prettiest pictures I have ever seen. The color of the trees were spot on and it was really simple to use for a non-professional person. Overall it is a great camera.

After getting back into photograghy after 20 yrs I did some research and decided on this camera . It is fully digital w/ no mirrors etc . What I didn`t realize is how advanced this camera was for me ,it seemed to do everything !!! except bake a pie, and it might do that also . Unfortunately this camera was way too advanced for me and I returned it for something a little easier to understand. My goal is to get my knowledge back about photographing and then move up to this bigboy camera . as always Sony put out an excellent product .

Overall a good camer but some issues it started to go crazy in menus I have to turn off and turn on to avoid this issue that happened 2 times, other issue is the feel quality is not like a pro camer but it's ok you cant expect more for a few hundreds dollars. Auto focus lock on is no as good as I wish so I ended returned it anyway I expected too much for a little camera

I bought this camera for my daughter who was pregnant. I am so happy I did. It takes gorgeous pictures of my new grandson. It’s very easy to use. The photos look like they have been taken by a professional.

This is an awesome camera, it is very light and the quality of the photos is impressive! It is highly recommended for all of those who like to take great photos and don't want to be carrying around a big old fashion camera.

Good camera for beginner, has other sony apps you can purchase within camera, easy to share to your phone, no issues or complaints about this camera so far! and I'm a beginner
