I am an amateur but needed a camera that would stand the test of time and take great vivid shots and sporting shots. I purchased the additional zoom lens and just love it. Easy to use and light on the hand.

Saw someone using this camera on our last vacation. I was surprised that something this small could take such beautiful pictures. I have not been disappointed. I'm still learning how to use it, but so far it's been pretty easy.

I am by no means a professional photographer. I am about as novice as novice gets. My job lets me travel all over the world, and i more recently started wishing that I had invested in a quality camera like this sooner. This is a very lightweight and user friendly camera, that allows you to change the lens, and is also what I would consider to be reasonably priced. I would recommend it to a friend. and anyone that wants to take quality photos, without hulking around a larger framed camera.

I love this camera. I was very back and forth on what brand I wanted and read nothing but great reviews on this camera. I wanted a smaller dslr camera not a big bulky one. This camera is all I ever wanted. It takes amazing pictures and is easy to use. I am still learning but I am very excited. I also love the transfer to phone feature! Awesome!!! I would highly recommended this camera to anyone who likes the size of point and shoots but wants a dslr camera. Great product!!!!

I already had a good camera to take pictures but left it at home. Purchased this camera while traveling and got wonderful quick shots. Editing the pictures to just the right size and content is a breeze. Love this camera.

for under $600 you can get one of the best performing cameras focus wise. if get into photography , this is best choice. It has taken excellent basic landscape and portrait photography. It's smaller and lighter than most DSLRs and good for basic/learner. if your looking into Cinematography, this isn't best choice. At 24 megapixels this thing is a beast. Only turn Airplane Mode Off when you want to send photos/videos to another Wi-Fi device

I bought this camera as a gift for my boyfriend, who takes great photos with his cell phone camera. I wanted him to have a better camera for trips and events. I chose the Sony A6000 because it is a medium size and weight camera with interchangeable lens. He thinks the camera is amazing and especially enjoys the fast shutter speed, intelligent technology, and ability to photograph in a variety of light settings. The photos are noticeably crisper than the cell phone pics, even when enlarged dramatically. I also gave him a separate charger and battery, so he can charge a battery at home while he is using the camera.

So, I have a black version as well. I bought this one for a friend and 3 years later, it's still a solid camera with a great sensor, amazing speed, and produces outstanding shots. This is the first mirrorless camera that had pros leaving full sensor DSLRs for a smaller, convenient package. Definitely, the 6300 and 6500 have advantages, but this is still a great notice to pro-sumer choice. If you want to go all out, look at the Sony A7.

This model was the only one with a view finder so that appealed to us, also love the wi-fi connection, can upload directly to computer or phone. Takes great pictures and is not complicated for a non-techy person like myself!

This is an amazing camera that is compact and yet the quality of the images is that of a large powerful camera and lens. The difference in photo quality is apparent from the first image taken.

This is one of the best cameras I have ever bought. It is light, easy to use, high quality, and perfect for the novice and the experienced. Buy the big lense since it works better as well.

Bought this for the wife. She wants to pretend she's good at photography and actually wanted a DSLR. I figure since I'll probably be carrying it most of the time, I rather get something smaller and lighter with good picture and easy shooting modes. So far no complaints about the camera from the wife. I assume she's happy with it since her only complaint now is that she needs more lenses. So more lenses for me to carry.

The Sony A6000 is easy to use for the beginner, but has plenty of bells and whistles for the advanced. No matter your level of experience, you can take great pictures with the A6000.

All I can say is if you can get your hands on one I'm certain you'll be leaving with it! It's small and not heavy like most DSLR's but shoots just like the big boys! A MUST HAVE! Zero regrets!

My 13 year old son was always taking pictures and editing them on his iPhone when realized he truly wanted to take pictures with a real camera. He spent hours researching the sony vs canon. They were quite comparable but he ultimately chose the sony because of price. He has bought 2 lenses and filters since and brings it with him everywhere. He loves that he can easily upload the photos to his computer for editing through wifi. Great investment!
