I knew before I bought the camera that the kit lens isn't so great (a lot of bad online reviews), but I bought the kit anyway so I would have a lens to use until my 18-135 lens arrived. My 18-135 lens arrived before I could take any pictures, so I've only used that lens so far. The few photos I have taken have been nothing short of fantastic. The intelligent auto works like a charm: I was able to take hand held shots at night without any blurring, and the detail when viewed at actual size is excellent. I plan on trying out the other functions of the camera, particularly aperture priority, which I will use on portraits to blur the background. The A6000 is small and light, and is easy to carry around, even with the 18-135 zoon lens. It weighs far less than the Canon DLSR I used to use, and I don't get a sore shoulder from carrying it around like I did with the Canon. I highly recommend the Sony A6000, or the upgraded A6300 if you need the added features that come with the A6300.

The camera captures great pictures and lots of data. This is makes them great for editing on photoshop.

I purchased it to do astrophotography, and it takes great photos. The software that it uses to control it from a smartphone is cumbersome. Would get five stars if software was more user friendly.

This camera is a very advanced, easy to use and lightweight camera. The ISO is 25,000 making it very low light capable.

The fact that they fit an APS-C Sensor in this tiny camera is astonishing. I'm using it for personal work (not for my professional photography business) and I am thoroughly satisfied so far. Shooting with the 50mm f/1.8 and the 55-210mm Super Zoom. Great set of equipment.

This is a great camera for anyone who wants to take high end photos without busting out the big bodied cameras and lens.

This camera has so many nice features and settings. It's pictures are very clear and it's less bulky than a DSLR camera. It's better if you buy lenses and use manual settings, but does okay as a point and shoot. Being able to upload photos directly to your phone is also pretty great.

I went in looking for a point and shoot that just above average and one of the employee pointed me to this. Me coming from a dslr background it's nice to have to option to shoot fully manual. It's a great camera for the light photographer/videographer. I have fun skateboarding around LA and shooting random things.

This camera isn't overwhelming in size and still will work with a good lens to zoom in on those long-range soccer shots!

I'm no expert on what is a great camera but i shopped around before I decided on this. I must say that the best buy associate convinced me of purchasing this product. I do wish it had a couple of features like a microphone input instead of having to buy a proprietary Sony attachment. However, when it comes to cameras you can't get everything you want in a single camera. That being said it produces crystal clear 1080p at 60 fps and it has an amazing shutter speed with continuous shooting which is awesome. The ISO is great for lighting issues and the photos turn out brilliant. I would recommend this product to anyone unless you are looking for 4k video then get the next model up.

A mirrorless camera was recommended by a friend as being the next wave of quality cameras for the beginner and it is.

I have a large Nikon but wanted something more portable for taking pictures on the go. This Sony has become one of my best friends as I carry with me all the time for a quick shots. Pictures are brilliant settings are To manipulate depending on the picture. A must buy.
